      i had plantar fasciitis in both feet for over 3 years. i went for shots in one of my feet 2x and it was temporary. know what worked - setting timer on my cellphone 3x a day stretching slowly lowering and raising my heel on a step. after 2 weeks pain free.

    Thanks so much for your information on plantar fasciitis I also have the plantar fibroma and I know you recommend shoes with wide toe box but do you recommend highly cushioned shoes like asics gel nimbus or do you recommend zero drop shoes like xero. I am so confused
    Thanks again I will look forward to seeing what you think about the shoes

    The first excersize worked great. I need a link to the third "hump" device. Thanks!

    I have a spur that grows on the back of the heel by the achilles tendon. My doctor suggest not to do surgery to remove the spur as the recovery will be too long. I do occasionally have pain, and it just goes away after few days rest and then back after several months.

    Thanks so much for getting back to me on which fasciitis fighter to buy, I have another question I also have a plantar fibroma in my right foot, is there anything you can tell me about how to manage that without having surgery
    Thanks again will wait to hear back from you

    • @RehabScience
      @RehabScience  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Those can be challenging to manage. Most of the focus is on choosing shoes with a wide toe box and reducing the volume of activities that trigger your symptoms.

      Thanks again I found out about the wide toe box shoes but would you recommend highly cushioned shoes like asics gel nimbus25 or do you think zero drop shoes are better? It is so confusing some say zero drop shoes strengthen the feet so are better and then others say highly cushioned shoes are better. Apparently highly cushion shoes shorten the calf. I am so confused. I would really appreciate your thoughts
      Thanks so much

    Hi, is it possible to buy the one you show where you extend your toes and stretch your heel in Denmark? Can you get hurt from doing too many exercises? I sometimes feel sore afterwards, so should I do fewer exercises?

    I had a calcaneus fx one year ago- now I have a bone spur- on the lateral area of my foot- and I believe one on my heel- my surgeon wants to do surgery to remove the hardware and at the same time grind down the spur and pull skin over it. There seems to be more then one question in there. Can you help me?

    So pleased to have come across this video, thank you! My podiatrist has helped me with PF but can heel spurs be reversed? I was under impression that the couldn’t be, mine is causing quite a lot of pain. Thank you.

      Years ago I had a spur under my heal. I went to an old masseuse who massaged out the spur. This guy was a masseuse for years at a local athletics club. I’ll never forget how painful that massage was. It was agony. But it worked & the spur was gone & has never grown back.

      Ok this is interesting, because I have started using a massage ball and started suspecting I had heel spurs when it became excruciating to roll the ball on those heel spots. I figured if it was spurs, I probably shouldn’t be massaging them. Was your massage therapist applying direct firm pressure to them? And how long did it take for them to dissipate? I wonder if ice would also help after

    My podiatrist told me the spur on the bottom of the heel isn't usually problematic. But the spur that grows on the back of the heel by the achilles tendon is. Do you have any exercises for us folks that have this spur?

    I am ready to try the old ball peen hammer to the spur trick🤣. My plantar fasciitis is under control but now my heel spur is getting bigger. I spent the winter at a ski resort and skied over 100 days and think the tension on my Achilles and calfs from the boots caused more spur growth. Feeling like I am walking on a pebble.

    I feel very very tense under and through the back of my heel when doing the stretch. Not under the foot. Only around the back of the heel. Is that normal?

    If you have a heel spur in one foot, should you still do the exercises on both leg/feet or just the one with the issue?

    • @RehabScience
      @RehabScience  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It doesn’t hurt to do the exercises on both sides, but you really want to focus on the side with the issue.
