First toyota yaris, NCP91R in malaysia was 2006, CBU thailand. That time doesn't selling well due to expensive tag 92K for G spec. Now they came back with NSP150R with lower entry price 72K meaning they already aware the market requirements. Yaris meant for young generation with easy cruising in city and simple parking in cramp smaller parking lot, occasionally need larger boot space to transporting goods by unfold backseat and remove the board, highway cruising no issue to travel around. I'm not saying Honda Jazz not good but I as front left passenger, felt not comfortable when bumpy right whereby yaris I don't have this issue. You can go test jazz, yaris, m2 to feel it
I have chosen Yaris 1.5 G. So far everything about this car is excellent. The car is very comfortable and enjoyable to drive. No regret choosing it at all. 💕💕💕

The Yaris front look so much better without the additional cover to the sides of the number plate.
Those covers are removable, and some people actually take them away on the Vios and yes it looks much better

many people complained the front bumper's design is busy. But, we actually can remove the additional plastic on the front bumper. Of course, it still not the most good looking front bumper, but at the very least it will look better.

I just booked the std variant of the Yaris n you are right sir my first car is a Myvi so having a std Yaris doesn't really bother me that much its still a competent car to drive

If U want more space & room for ur cargoes go for Vios... If U want sporty looks go for Yaris... Buy the top of the line w/ 1.5 cc engine for more power...

On a wise money management, i would get the yaris, 107hp same as vios, price cheaper, in terms of quality and depreciation, You can use the difference rm7000+ to maintain the car service, I am a young driver and have a really small family.
Your family size allows you to have a Yaris. If you needed more space, you would have chosen the Vios. People have lots of reasons, all of which are valid. That is why car companies have so many options

Mechanically they are the same. There are some minor spec differences, and you probably can check it out on their website, lol.

For long distance travel at 110km/h, the Vios have better fuel mileage because it has smaller wake at the rear compare to the Yaris. So for long distance everyday travel, you earn back your money from saving fuel. City drive just get the Yaris lah!

Hi sifu, is it normal to have krekking sound sometimes when press the break pedals? My new vios is giving the sound, and i just collected i last week. Faint!
If its internal, it's probably the spring - a bit of WD40 will take care of that. If it is at the brake disc, it's usually some dirt or sand. Will go away.

Mechanically they are all the same. The spec is only some features and tyre size for some. Not much difference.

But the yaris look more sporty but have to add 2k for the accessory meanwhile the vios come in the accessory for free meaning still over 5k of 7k for the price . To be hones the yaris more fresh kinda look.
The special offer for the Vios makes it quite a good bargain for the moment.

We have two engine variants (1.3 and 1.5) here in the Philippines. Do you think a 1.3 engine is underpowered? Great video by the way :)
I have not driven the 1.3 version, and offhand I would say the weight of the car would make the 1.3 a little under-powered. The makers may adjust the final drive ratios a little higher to compensate, so it's best to test drive it yourself. Maybe my Philippine friends in the motor trade might be able to shed some light - Vince, Dino, or Eggay, what do you say?
YS, if a 1.3 Vios is being considered, I suggest the manual tranny. It drives better and fuel consumption is 12 kms/liter or even more depending on driving habits.
