I did it and you are correct it really makes it easy to sew the binding the corners are a perfect miter love and I will do this each time I put a binding❤❤❤❤
Do you use a straight stitch or an appliqué stitch? I've seen a few videos recently of binding being brought to the front and stitched down with a blanket appliqué stitch. It looks beautiful!
I reallly enjoyed the tutorial today! Quilt math-ug! I'm really good with math but all the math you've done in the 3 lessons so far make no sense to me. I know it will in time but until then, ug. LOL Thanks so much Kayla!
Quilt math can definitely be intimidating! I will often draw out my quilt design and take my pattern to my carpenter husband to check my math. I've never really used pre-made patterns, but they can definitely take out the math part of quiltmaking since it's already done for you 🩷

I am so happy to hear that it made things a little easier! 🥰 Machine binding is my least favorite thing to do.
Brenda from Conquering Mt Scrapmore sent me over...and I subscribed!
Great tips! Your quilt is beautiful!!! Thank you for taking your time and sharing with us. 🇺🇸
Thank you! Two of my kids have claimed this one, looks like I'll have to make another so they don't fight over it 😊🥰
Do you prefer machine binding or hand binding your quilts? I usually hand bind, it's my favorite!
I'd like to see how to hand bind a quilt! I've only done machine binding and my method for that is totally made-up and loosey goosey.
I machine bind, but I attach it to the back and bring it around to the front. Thanks

I use a straugt stitch
