Quick note about the ambulance being blocked. If the traffic lights were red for the then they were correct not to break the stop line regardless of what emergency vehicle is behind. When i did my emergency response driver course we were always told when approaching red lights where a vehicle would have to complete an illegal manoeuvre for us to progress then we should silence sirens and turn off front facing blue lights so as not to put pressure on the vehicle waiting.

Great video. Bike is excellent in all ways. Just got back from a 2700 mile trip, across 6 countries, 2 up and fully loaded and had no issues. Great handling bike. Did the same with supplied tyres and went for road 6. Oh and the touratech cases, I swapped out all lock catches with newly made ones and work fine now. Enjoy the bike😊
Sounds like a great trip. Were the catches KTM replacement new ones or another brand or did you make them yourself? Thanks for watching.
@@MotoGoYo I replaced them in work with a machined version in titanium .The ones supplied in the kit you fit are just pressed out and the not the best of fits.

Hi there, I’m riding a 2022 model. I had no issues with the Mitas tires even in the wet and down to 2°C. I did 8800km on them and switched to the Michelin Road 6 afterwards.

@@prtgm I had a slight shimmy effect at around 70km/h when the Mitas were near their end of life at 8800km. The Michelins don’t have any instability, but it’s unfair comparing old and used tires to new ones.
The Touratech GPS brace is for the Nexx 1, you will have to adapt it to the larger Nexx 2
Regarding the bike feeling like it has more power since the service - I believe the 790 Adventure doesn't allow you to use full power until your 1st service (600 mile oil change) is completed to protect the engine. I think full blown rally mode wasn't available until it was carried out. I got mine after it had covered over 600 miles, so I can't be sure. It's most probably the same on the other high performance KTM's.

I've just replaced my mitas tyres(which I found ok) to scorpions.
I covered 7200 miles on the mitas
@@fjrboy I'd agree - okay is probably a good assessment of them. I do like the Scorpions better but there's always going to be some personal experience involved with tyres...
I have exactly the same bags and frame on my KTM 1290 SAS, I and the RHS is also a little stiff when trying to lock and engage.
Yeah, it must be one of those things that are an in-built "feature" :-)
KTM Satnav thingie (via the App) is OK, but no substitute for a Gamin- think of it as a backup.

I purchased a cheap Chinese unit that support Android auto and Apple carplay. The best $160 I've ever spent on a motorcycle. It's kind of chincy but offers features not found on $600 Garmin and TomTom devices.
I love my 2022 SAS. Only complaint is the weird turn signal button, the occasional preload computer error, and the jarring affect stopping the cruise control has. Other than that the bike is literally perfect for me. No complaints. All in all it's the best bike I've ever owned but those are my nits (some of which were addressed with the 2023 such as the turn signal button.)
Yeah, there are always some weird characteristics in design that slip through with bikes for some reason. Some things you wonder how they didn't think that in quality control. But I guess we've seen a lot of electronics things in the automotive industry during and post pandemic so. Good that you like the bike.
@@MotoGoYo If having a pointy turn signal that 1/3rd of the time doesn't shut off the firs time I press it is one of my biggest complaints I'm ok with that lol.
Did your bike come with the quick shifter?....don't seem to be using it
@fjrboy It does have the quick shifter. I typically only use them for faster riding.
@@sd5458 Solved cancelling the turn indication by first pressing down on the switch then in. If you do it while stopped you can feel the switch go into a groove when pressed down then it's centered when you press in, canceling the turn indication. Works every time. Too bad the manual doesn't state this,
Hi and is that the KTM Sat Nav bracket and how do you find it ??
I think in this video, I still have the KTM plastic bracket fitted. I didn’t keep that long and got the Touratech metal one instead. The plastic KTM one just didn’t feel sturdy and the satnav seemed to lean one way whatever I did to try level it.
Great vid so far .. decent vid quality and on bike sound . Just bought the same bike in the same colour . came from a 2021 sdr . Only slight issue is the camera angle when on the bike .. its abit on the cock which for me makes it a little uncomfortable to watch !!

Hi, got the same bike, in the same colours. I binned the tyres on collection. Ok in the dry, pretty bad in, the damp and cold..not good at all. I went for metzler karoo street! Very, very good.
I didn't give the a chance really but sometimes better to go with something you instinctively trust more.

V4 just wasn't the same character of bike when I test rode it Gary. Both bikes have advantages but overall I'd keep the Multi over the KTM if I were to have just one.

Nie ukrywam, że wzbudził on u mnie bardzo duże emocje mocą silnika jak armaty. Również nie bez znaczenia jest spora różnica cenie zakupu między tymi motocyklami na korzysc ktm. Wierzę, że nie będzie się psół a moja wymarzona Afryka twin adventure sports 1000 DCT idzie pod młotek 😉
