Anyone who is living with anxiety, here is my advice for you. I've lived with general anxiety my whole life. The last few years, my anxiety has become very tolerable and is not ruining my life anymore. The way I got mostly rid of it is by learning the science behind it, understanding the science and mechanisms behind every physical symptoms(arrythmias, palpitations, shortness have breath, pain in chest, etc.) So every time a symptom presented itself, I would remember what is actually happening and that it is all based on the fight or flight response, and that my heart is okay and that I'm not in any real danger. The other thing that improved my life too is exposition. Slowly and carefully exposing yourself to your anxiety triggers. For me, it was crouds, being for away from home, asking questions at school, etc. Over the years, I got better and better at understanding and dealing with the disorder. I understand how hard it is to live with anxiety and how insurmontable it might seem , but there's always light at the end of the tunnel!
About asking questions at school, or speaking up in general, remember this: " what you think and say is as important as what others think and say". Remembering this has helped me a lot later. ❤️
Spending time in nature is very calming. I am much happier and more relaxed ever since I moved to the countryside and started going on long walks with my dogs.
Yes, I am calmed by the sights and sounds of nature, as well. Hearing the coyotes, owls, geese and ducks and watching the deer and other critters is wonderful! It's rare to hear a siren out here. WHY people would want to live in a city, baffles me. PEACE is GOOD!
Yes same here. I've been doing bird watching and hung up new bird feeders since this pandemic has begun. Seeing a bright red cardinal just brightens my day and takes away all my worries for a while. I'm even starting to tell the difference between different bird sounds and their types of calls or chirps. Lol
This worked for me since the pandemic started last year and now I'm bulletproof 1. Cold showers in the morning. (hard at first but awesome in the mid/long way 2. Exercise, swimming if possible, if not something else but get off your couch and drop the cookie jar. 3. Magnesium pills 4. Stop watching news, just update a little once a week if you want to. 5. Quit or consume less social media. 6. Keep your mind busy working, hobbies, reading, music, video games etc. That's all.
Mr. @Bernserker, it has been nine months since you posted this. Would you be willing to share how you are today, including your mental state, how well you have actually stuck to your routine, how you feel physically, or any other benefits and pluses you have achieved from this lifestyle? I am very interested in attempting this, and I would love to know how it has worked with you.
@@cassidyfox7316 of course, thanks for asking, been doing great or at least better than before, still working out to get the anxiety off my system, quit cold showers in winter, now that summer is near ill do it again, still consuming almost zero news covid related and social media still on it but not as last year, haven't been sick since 2015
casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. 1 Peter 5:7
@@LivingOver60 I also love forensic files and court cases. I do believe it causes me unnecessary anxiety. They make me think of these cases way afterwards, like if I was somehow involved in them personally. Not good 😔
Actually, it's incredibly straightforward and simple.... Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
This makes so much sense! I've been wondering for the last 20 years what the heck is going wrong w/humanity? Why does everyone seem so anxious and short tempered. It's reflected in society every day. Adults seem to have the temperament of toddlers. Now I know what it it is! All of the prepared, sprayed, and genetically manipulated foods that we have been consuming are doing damage. Wake up people! Make better food choices!
I absolutely agree with you!!! GMO is the culprit to soooo many health concerns. Especially leaky gut. And to be able to eat non GMO can be very difficult if you’re on a budget and maybe can’t get organic. It’s so infuriating to have GMO pushed on us! There are health problems EVERYWHERE. In countries where it is band, maybe there is better health... Grrrr!
I use to have anxiety so bad I couldn't walk outside an get the mail now I'm completely cured and it's all about one thing really. HOW WE TALK TO OURSELVES. Do u tell yourself scary depressing things or comforting soothing thing's. Always pay attention to those silent thoughts ur giving yourself an what u say out loud. And of course reduce caffeine and sugar.
I still hesitate before walking out to get the mail.. but I breathe, shake it off and walk on out the door.. anxiety with a touch of agoraphobia and paranoia.. fun times 😏 but God is good.. I've come sooo far 🙏🏽❤️
The quickest way to get rid off your anxiety is to link it to excitement as you technically feel the same set of emotions when have anxiety or when you are excited .. Next time when you have anxiety , just tell yourself “ I am excited “ , just by shifting your perspective will help you get rid off your anxiety .. 👍👍
Best advice I received about my anxiety which turned into uncontrolled panic attacks: because I had a obsessive attention to how fast my heart beat was which triggered the panic, I was told to do cardio so that your mind and body recognizes that a the feeling of your heart beat is ok and you build up a tolerance and soon the fear goes away
@@thegalhorowitz it was pretty bad- panic attacks & so on. Maybe that was the catalyst for getting healthier & exercise & so on contributed to my overall health. Either way, I’m off all prescription meds.
@@damonliu3870 Imagine anxiety as a big strong wave, you can't stop the wave, when it comes it comes. You can do two things, 1. try to fight against it but it will break you and win or 2. just accept it and go with the flow of the wave. Number 2 is much easier, don't try to control those anxious feelings, just let them flow and tell yourself last time you had them nothing bad happened to you and you didn't die, when you accept that you have anxiety the next step is to go and take action by going out of your comfortzone, the main important thing is to move forward and confront your anxiety step by step. Over time you will realize that you can do more and more and your anxiety will be less severe.
A method that worked for me in the past, was to take a lot of time for myself, cultivating my own interests. This gave me a sense of "accomplishment", and helped my self esteem. My own conviction that i was on a good path, would cancel out any potential negative oppinions of others. In my mind i was successful, and that was all the confirmation i needed. So no need for overthinking and churning my brains with thoughts of doubts..!
Oh I dropped out of college three times, three different majors. Social anxiety/phobia was the cause. Long story short, got psychological therapy (CBT) and finally got through it. Find help. Keep strong. There is hope. 💪👍
@@gustavorueda7404 how did you have group session? Through CBT? I want to start a group session with a psychologist but isn’t that against HIPPA policy? Please explain how I can do this group session. Thanks.
I have felt the same. I have never experienced anxiety till I got sick and begin to fear illness. It's been months and I have been in and out of the ER because of my anxiety and all I get is a bunch of medicines. I never believed it was anxiety. Heart palpitations, tingling in my legs, chest discomfort, trouble breathing, weak, can't focus it's terrible. I am so tired of it and mostly end up crying in desperation that I want to get better. I will follow Dr. Berg on his recommendation to control anxiety and hope for better days. My husband and children need me to be okay. ❤️
Dear heavenly Father ,Jesus christ and the Holy Spirit I pray you help this woman and heal her keep her strong father and show her the Way touch her will your healing hands God thank you for your provision and mercy, get her back strong and happy father lord so they can live love in harmony 💙Amen 🙏

Niacin cured my life long random thoughts. It was used with great success early 1900’s to virtually empty sanitariums. Until it’s use was stopped because doctors needed patients. 😕
No flush. No overdose potential. Other videos talk about recommended dosage but I have heard thousands of mg’s daily. But I found a few thousand a few days in a row and for the first time no unwanted thoughts
noobenstein I could but just do a search. It basically smooths things out. If your a man who cries easily as an example it stops the tears. You recognize the emotion but you don’t fall into its depth.
it helps me too, that's why i started to consume chicken breast ( around 200g daily ). it also covers my daily protein intake , but i should add Mg , potassium and vit C.
Excellent video! You're my go-to teacher and health counselor. I don't do mainstream medical. I wish your were my on-site doctor. My life is an experiment ... Will I survive/thrive longer than my mainstream counterparts? Single, 68 years, female, totally alone, living in a foreign country! Thank God is on my side!! Thank you, Dr. Berg!!!
Environmental triggers can include dirty air (like car exhaust), lack of air (like when you wear a face mask), exposure to chemicals in the water, like fluoride and chloride. Excellent video, as always.
I have lived with anxiety all of my life. It’s true that diet, exercise and self care can help alleviate anxiety. However, it’s much much more complex than that. There can be medical, hormonal or even genetic issues that cause anxiety and last but not least, trauma that causes anxiety. So as much as I love Dr Berg, anxiety is not simply related to diet.
The problem with this statement is the fact that all the chemicals and neurons in the brain that make it possible are able to be stabilized by diet. Lifestyle is good and helps but diet alone can restore balance. That is if you understand human physiology
I'm a professional chef. I know the meaning of anxiety. Working in the kitchen I've seen people (especially the more talkative) going banana and the shy ones became ironmen, sharp and focused. It's the pressure. In this pandemic crisis, you can see literally people going nuts and others going strong.
@@nikomonk7437 I’m afraid for a lot of people, anxiety seems to be an epidemic. Somethings got to give, everyone I see with this problem is going to freeze in place and have a flippin meltdown, there’s no flight or flight they’re going to get eaten by the bear (metaphorically speaking) right where they’re having the melt down… I feel like we’re all being held hostage by the youth of today who are plagued by this and I know it’s because there’s no hope for a future we old folks had.
In our family we call it spiraling. When you loose control of what you dwell on, racing thoughts get out of control and you literally feel like you’re drowning in your own thoughts.
I've learned so much while being here. Just passed this on to my daughter who does have over anxiety due to the stresses of life in general. And this coronavirus. I think anyone with young children are going to be over anxious right now. So i really appreciate this upload. Thank you 😘
EyesOpen 67 Young children are the safest from the virus! I'm seeing people bringing their kids out everywhere with no regard for the fact that they could be carriers and will infect and kill older people. People should be publically shamed for not caring more about risking the lives of older people.
@@mascara1777 I'm not doubting the fact that children's immune systems aren't more protected against the virus. I'm saying that it's still causing anxiousness in parents. If you have babies and children you'll understand that. My Grandson has only just come out of the hospital from having e-coli, he's 9 weeks old. Of course the elderly are going to be more susceptible to it, but that isn't going to stop a parent of a baby or a young child from worrying.
mascara1888: What you stated makes no sense. Why should the child be homebound? How would they infect older people, who are susceptible, unless the older, susceptible person were unwisely "out and about". I think it may be called....let's see, oh, ya....PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY!! If somebody is susceptible, they are welcome to stay home. And publicly shamed? I am guessing you did not think through your statement. Exactly how is the parent responsible for the susceptible person's decision to go out in public?
@@faith-hope-love1corinthian486 they kind of have a point, many health facilities and doctor offices, including hospitals, are either not allowing or asking people to remove children under 12 from their facilities (unless they are ill and seeking treatment) for a reason. At risk patients are already staying home unless they need to get treatment, but mechanical transmission is still a concern because children are terrible at touching everything and not washing their hands.
@@faith-hope-love1corinthian486 I live in an area by the beach and I live here year round. When the pandemic started, thousands of people came here and brought their kids. The kids had no school and they were all over the stores, pharmacies, etc. I had a coworker who literally posted on her Instagram that she was going to her beach home near me during the first 2 week 'stop the spread' and she was posting about how much fun it would be and she brought her kid. My town is mostly older people and our hospitals could not handle all of the Covid patients. They should have stayed home instead of treating the pandemic like a vacation.
Thoughts that are emotionalized become magnetized, and attract similar thoughts. It’s important to break the negative thought cycle. The cause is the subconscious, the symptoms are all in this video. Thanks for the info Doc.
It is your own thoughts that trigger anxiety. You have to ask yourself. What are you focused on, what are you thinking about the most? Everybody has problems that they could worry about but not everybody dwells in their worries. I have noticed people who complain a lot tend to get anxiety a lot. Keep in mind what you think about the most usually manifest itself into your life.
This spoke to me! I’m someone who loves to travel but I always worry about having anxiety or panic attacks flying and the worst for me is the takeoff I’m usually OK once I’m up in the air and I love the landing but the takeoff and I focus so much on the takeoff that I give myself anxiety.
Sorry but i disagreed, if you observe carefully. When the body condition is bad, the train of thoughts just came non-stop. When the body does not leak the nutrients off which make the mind anxious, the negative thoughts that came in can be dispelled off almost immediately. Its like the "who care" or "nevermind" state of mind.
@@heavymetal11 You are correct. It's not really the thoughts by themselves. I used to have worrysome thoughts all the time but never had the physical paralyzing sensations. So while the thoughts may start the chain, the REAL problem is the looping physical sensations that keep us stuck and anxious. So learning how to manage those sensations and supplementing so your body can cope is key. I was severely deficient in vitamin B so that's why I could no longer handle the thoughts and sensations. So yes, the mind is the initial problem, but when stress gets stuck in the physical, that's when it gets out of control.
💪 Thank you again I LOVE being outdoors and keto and it has decreased my anxiety by 95% Now it's just to fix my low ferritin and hemoglobin and fibroids to be back to health. 🙏👍
I've suffered from anxiety and also panic attacks. Worse in crowded areas. At first I couldn't leave the house alone, then, I couldn't stay in the house alone, barely slept.. At the time I was under great stress. Once my stress levels went down, I started sleeping through the night, and I forced myself to start being alone. Slowly, everything changed. I've also changed some of my dietary choices, my doctor put me on the lowest, lowest dosage of Paxil. I'm out volunteering at three different organizations now, go all over alone, at times I get a bit anxious, then I tell myself...You can do it, be proud!
Easier said than done with anxiety. Having been a player for most of my 58 years to me it is only a better life when you learn to accept and live with certain types of anxiety.
I love that Dr. Berg knows everything by heart. He is so easily understandable and believable. Our life has improved within the last year since we do keto. I also like it that he has had many symptoms himself and speaks from experience. No doctor (medical) will ever have such knowledge and be able to help almost every person. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with people that are willing to take their health into their own hands. ♥️
And depression. Sometimes I find myself really down and wondering "Why bother?" or "Why go on?" This is NOT normal for me and when I catch that internal dialogue, I immediately STOP! and take B vitamins. The whole mood changes. NO DRUGS. I really appreciate Dr Berg telling me about nutritional yeast. It seems to be absorbed quickly and to have a major and mellow, but happy effect. Life becomes good again.
I'm on a self-imposed news detox most of the time. I try to be as selective as possible, the headlines can send me into orbit. I diffuse essential oil constantly to help my mood and anxiety. I'm no trust fund baby so I have to work and make the best out of it. I stay focused on my task and not the office gossip which greatly reduces my anxiety. I keep a handful of people close by, 2 of which I can call 24/7/365 if I need too. I never had anxiety, nor was I a worrier until my folks died 8 months apart from each other, a few years ago, then I had a stroke, then I developed this condition. now my nerves are so frazzled all the time. I have to keep magnesium calm powder with me. another great video Dr. Berg♥
It looks like you're coming up with a great plan that's working for you! I also use an Alpha-Stim device that helps a great deal, though I've been out in public and forgot to take my device and had a panic attack. NOT a good scene! I know of several other people that successfully use it for high anxiety/PTSD issues and migraines. Military Docs tested it on soldiers on the front lines in Iraq and Afghanistan. A fellow veteran told me about it. You may want to look into it. NOT having a TV or radio in my tiny home is a GREAT thing for me. Constant noise tends to make me shake inside and out! Silence truly IS golden for me. I don't understand why some people always have their TV on, whether they're watching it or not. They say that it's on just to have noise. To me, that's crazy! I NEED peace and quiet. Blessings to you, as you navigate this journey to wonderful health!
I really appreciate the story that you shared about your personal growth and triumph over fear of public speaking, I can relate to it. I went to a private girls-only high school because I was so shy of speaking in class and being judged. But I opened up a lot through the sense of community my classmates provided and in college I was involved in TAing in lecture halls of 200+ people and tutoring. My teachers, classmates, and family supported me to get over my fear but I never had thought it was possible. Seeing you successful and helping people makes me feel optimistic about my future. I admire you, Dr Berg. We need more people like you in this world.
Im on perimenopause and suddenly diagnosed with anxiety. Been healthy all my life, now going to menopause I have bursitis, muscle strain, joint pain, insomia, agoraphobia, digestive issues etc. I missed my old body. Went to so many doctors. To women going to menopause, know that we will survive this phase❤
Gratitude Journaling also really helps my stress and anxiety. It is proven to stimulate dopamine and seretonin, increase alpha brain waves, and help you focus on the positive. Hope this helps anyone! :)
Dr. Berg thank you for sharing your vulnerability with anxiety and public speaking....you’re making not only informative, transformative content you are being the change we need to see in this world...it’s ok not to be perfect, it’s ok to be vulnerable and there are effective solutions to our problems when we don’t isolate and become real with others who are doing the same....peace to your day! 😊
Never would of thought you had that public speaking anxiety...I myself have struggled with that for all my life. My voice gets super shaky and then I think, "they notice it." 😔 But, coming to a now clear understanding that it is a skillset (which can be overcome), gives me hope 💪🏼🙏🏼
My best tip is not to try to fight the fear but to intensify it. You hit the peak and then the fear goes always. Dr. Claire Weekes has a lot of good advice on this.
I’ve read some of her work and yes you are right!! Dr Claire Weekes was a brilliant doctor and way ahead of her time. Her teaching on ‘not adding second fear’ really helped me to overcome my agoraphobia.
@@catherinebonanno6545 are you understanding what she is saying to do? It definitely doesn’t heal and take it away completely. I still have major panic attacks and too often. But there are times that I can use what she talks about to help me get through certain situations.
True, you generate your own anxiety, severe problem anxiety is often just being overly anxious or having an extreme fear of feeling anxious, if you can stop fearing anxiety and accept that feeling some anxiety just a normal valid emotion that you will occasionally experience then it won't be half as scary, you will be able to rationalise the original underlying anxiety which could well be related to something real that you need to address or even something minor that doesn't actually warrant feeling anxious about, with the secondary "anxiety about feeling anxiety" on top adding to your total anxiety it just makes everything scary and confusing and impossible to think about clearly and sensibly.
Thank you for making these videos, Dr. Berg. I'm a very logical and visual person so the way you explain it with the white board helps me to understand better. I've been watching health videos for a long time and the way you do yours makes more sense to me and helps me to be more motivated with my health. Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to do these videos.
I so agree with Dr. Berg. Add cardio workout, especially running daily and gym workouts helped me a lot to deal with my social anxiety. I do use SSRI medication to help me, however I am slowly getting off of meds after almost 20 years of taking them. Stay healthy, stay strong...your health should be your number one priority! Thanks
I sadly left University six weeks before graduation because of this. It was simply too terrifying to present my final paper. I had tried meditation, medication, a good-sized nip of Drambuie and public speaking courses. Nope! All I needed was Dr. Berg :D
Oh no, I would also look into section 504 accommodations. Maybe not presenting your paper in public would've been an accommodation. Maybe u could've video taped it instead.
Teri W I’m so sorry to hear that 😞 *hugs*. I’m a few months away from finishing my degree but have struggled to attend classes. The thought of going makes me freeze or tremble. I’m determined to complete and pass and beat this anxiety forever out of my life. This is no way to live.
i keep watching your videos about sleep and anxiety. hoping to reset my brain and sleep well again.. god i miss peaceful mind and goodnight sleep nights.. :-(
Anxiety can be mentally dwelling on the negative, which can negatively alter your body chemistry. Look at the positive side of life and this too will alter your body chemistry, but for the good. A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones. Living fully, a moment of the time does wonders. Do not let your mind wander from the joy of life, regardless of circumstances. This is more readily accomplished through a surrender to Jesus Christ, who gives peace to the mind, health to the body and salvation to the soul. Be blessed, you are loved, shalom.
Struggling with anxiety throughout my life, especially dealing with people n work environment, number 9-worry n number 11-mind blank are exactly what I experienced when I am having anxiety..

Dr. Berg your own story about anxiety on public speaking and how to overcome it inspires me a lot. I thought you were a natural born speaker. Thank you for sharing your story.
For anyone that likes a drink my first advice would be ditch the booze...I always used booze as a crutch for "social anxiety" but it just made the anxiety worse over the next few days especially if you overdid it...I think many people mistake having anxiety for the after effects of drinking and hitting it hard at the weekend can take til the next weekend to feel "normal" again but then we all hit the repeat button...the booze rollercoaster is identical to the carb/sugar one!!!
I have finally given up sugar it Was my go to drug..I don't know if I could have given up alcohol.. don't want to know..THANKS for your comments Barry 1 day at a time.

I can 100% tell diet is very related because whenever i'm off my diet and start eating junk food and lots of sugar for a few months then anxiety strikes all of a sudden for a few days until i start eating healthy again, then it's magically gone.
Yes, i have noticed that for myself also. Especially with sweets cravings. Its a fight but once i get back to healthy foods, depression and anxiety are more under control.
Thank you. I suffer from chronic anxiety and chronic depression but one thing that helped a lot was when we moved to France were we only watch the news on the TV once a month. We don't have to be worried about the news being presented as a do or die thing or everythingva headline news and followed by commercials four minutes afyerwards were everyone is hooked or addicted to it, it is massively destructive. Here I watch France 24 which is online and the whole world news is presented in a normal voice in 30 min. with no commercials what so ever. Also they eat here a lot better and everyone is skinny, I don't know why the FDA exists in the U.S. I have lost a lot of weight since coming from the U.S. from a mens size 42 to a size 36. No bread also and no or little sugar.
I have panic disorder and GAD, CPTSD, major depression and ADHD. I've been dealing with so many health issues my whole life and have never known that SO MANY of the things I've been experiencing were related to these issues even after decades of doctors visits and therapy. I've been brushed off so many times when voicing my concerns and finally feel like there might be some hope since I know what to discuss with my doctors now. Thank you
Thanks for all these information Dr. Berg. I guess the medical field should look into studying more about physiology and nutrition than synthetic medicine.
I agree! Thankfully, we have Dr. Berg and others that DO study nature's healing substances and effects on the body. Medical Doctors get just a few hours of instruction on nutrition in medical school. Unfortunately, the Medical Mafia has been feverishly working to silence the Dr. Bergs of the world. More people are seeing what truly works and the demand for people like Dr. Berg is skyrocketing! I'm so very grateful for what the Doc's information has done for me!! I recommend his channel to everyone!
My anxiety and panic disorder is so bad that when I'm having an anxiety or panic attack my blood pressue goes up to 160 😖 then i try to breathe and relax and it goes back down. I'm scared I'm going to die
I used to have horrible panic attacks when I was younger. They typically lasted for 5-10 minutes but afterwards when the adrenaline subsided I felt like I'd just run a marathon. I eventually learned to control it, first with extreme over stimulation (TV and radio at the same time) but later with slow, deep breathing and meditation practice. I haven't had an attack in probably 15 years.
This is so human and especially so in uncertain times when fear is pumped through the circulatory system of our media. The quote below starts with acknowledging the fear. In this case, yes, we will all die. When, we do not know. This moment isn't your time or mine. Therefore it's an opportunity to really live. To feel yourself breathing and to go outside and watch the sun rise. My best wishes to you. “Fear keeps us focused on the past or worried about the future. If we can acknowledge our fear, we can realize that right now we are okay. Right now, today, we are still alive, and our bodies are working marvelously. Our eyes can still see the beautiful sky. Our ears can still hear the voices of our loved ones.” Thich Nhat Hanh
Some other things you can practice: 1) breathing techniques, 2) Holosync (calms limbic system and increases prefrontal cortex size), 3) control your mind: as Dr. Berg mentioned, we often focus on negative thoughts which induce fear; stop feeding the fear-control your thoughts and feelings instead of letting them control you (master your subconscious mind); work with your mind to determine what you are afraid of and choose thoughts and feeling-visualizations based on what you do want ex. "I am up on stage in front of all those people, calm and relaxed, doing my presentation and nailing it"; controlling your feelings and thoughts is not something we're taught but is of the utmost importance and one of the most important things you can practice along with proper nutrition. Cheers!
Best way to cure depression and anxiety for me, diet change. Carnivore diet in particular. Even my skin tags are disappearing. Look into it you guys. Im happier than i have been in a long time and loosing weight
I learnt to accept my anxieties which took a long time as a practice. I don’t welcome it or go looking for it, but if the feeling arises I accept it and treat it like a old familiar friend, with a smile and a ‘hey buddy I see you there..it’s ok’. Even this act alone seems to ‘lighten the burden’. Trying to stop anxiety is the worst thing you can do-you just amplify the anxiety even more and now add stress at the fact that you’re anxious and the feeling won’t go away. Experienced as someone who goes on stage to address the public all the time.
i am so relieved to have discovered your channel tonight. i've finally found a good doctor who can help me not die prematurely. thanks for empowering me to heal myself and live longer
This is so true. I used to snap and lose my composure when the UPS guy rang the door bell. This was over a year ago, before I started Dr. Bergs Keto/IF. Last week something really terrible happened involving a dog and our car (sparing details) and I was surprised how calm and collected I remained through the entire process of helping someone in a severe chaotic situation. Back before the diet, I probably would've passed out and needed an ambulance myself.
After years of trying everything to cope with the non stop crap in my life and developing chronic anxiety and depression, I've now been in permanent freeze mode too for a number of years, to the point that my body is now also in non stop chronic physical pain that no one can diagnose and which is destroying what's left of my life. It's all I can manage to visit my Mum in the nursing home with dementia once a week as I'm so unwell. I pray for death daily. Sick of useless doctors who prescribe useless medication... Nothing works for me and worst of all, apart from being in 24/7 chronic mental and physical pain, I'm completely on my own now in trying to deal with it.

Joanna please consider believing in Jesus He is the only true answer and healer of anxiety..2Timothy 1,7…
It's mostly a problem with diet, cortisol, amygdala and liver
The problem with this statement is the fact that all the chemicals and neurons in the brain that make it possible are able to be stabilized by diet. Lifestyle is good and helps but diet alone can restore balance. That is if you understand human physiology
I'm a professional chef. I know the meaning of anxiety. Working in the kitchen I've seen people (especially the more talkative) going banana and the shy ones became ironmen, sharp and focused. It's the pressure. In this pandemic crisis, you can see literally people going nuts and others going strong.
In the moment of truth sometimes the people you least expect are the ones who own the situation better than everyone else...
@@nikomonk7437 I’m afraid for a lot of people, anxiety seems to be an epidemic. There is a huge difference between general anxiety, racing thoughts and panic/ anxiety disorder!
I suffer from acute anxiety disorder. I don't panic in the situation, I am cool and calm it hits me much later and appears unrelated to anything.
In our family we call it spiraling. When you loose control of what you dwell on, racing thoughts get out of control and you literally feel like you’re drowning in your own thoughts.
They work in unison
Of course the elderly are going to be more susceptible to it, but that isn't going to stop a parent of a baby or a young child from worrying.
mascara1888:
What you stated makes no sense.
@@faith-hope-love1corinthian486 I live in an area by the beach and I live here year round. When the pandemic started, thousands of people came here and brought their kids.
You are correct

Barry......wisdom!!
Thank you for your advice.
I was feeling anxious tonight, I have found a book super helpful. It’s called “the power of right believing, 7 keys to freedom from fear, guilt, and addiction”
You are loved

Coincidence after coincidence.
Within a day, you keep posting videos when I am most interested in the subject. It’s not consistent when I pass your videos, but it’s usually when I’m in need of the information. Great work. God Bless you and your wife.
Meditation for 20 min day everyday will do wonder for it.
For literally everyone.
Medittation lowers your neuroticism and that is tremendous in stressfull situatton
I just started taking magnesium lately and I think it really works. I will get B1 also, thank you Dr. Berg.
Same to you ,I had fear during my Master Thesis :) and ended up getting 3 out 5

I can 100% tell diet is very related because whenever i'm off my diet and start eating junk food and lots of sugar for a few months then anxiety strikes all of a sudden for a few days until i start eating healthy again, then it's magically gone.
What do you eat on a normal day? Including breakfast lunch and dinner
Did you doing low carb diet?
Thank you
Treat the gut health it all starts from the gut change your diet.
Try a carnivore diet
Definitely agree with the gut playing a major role in anxiety. Thank you❤
I'm doing a research on Anxiety, and I should be presenting in few days, thank you for the info!
Almost 9 million subscribers for a doc!! That’s amazing.
Like a switch.🤔🤣 today I'm stimulating myself with happiness and LAUGHTER. Laughter is the best medicine
Laughter is indeed huge!! Also prayer.
I got rid of FB 2 years ago !! I can't believe the difference in my Anxiety!! ......never going back!!😁
Thanks for all these information Dr.
Thank you Dr.Berg. I appreciate you doing this video.
My anxiety and panic disorder is so bad that when I'm having an anxiety or panic attack my blood pressue goes up to 160 😖 then i try to breathe and relax and it goes back down. I'm scared I'm going to die
True, I feel same. When I had Bloating and gas issues I feel like I can't breathe and heart racing, Blood pressure up bad.
@@mylovemylife5290 I also get tension headaches and due to recent Covid-19 outbreak. I'm in constant pain and uneasiness
@Deirdre Morris Thank you
Thank you Dr. Berg. You have blessed me by sharing your victory over the fear of public speaking.
Cheers!
Thanks for sharing these videos Dr. Berg, your advice has been helpful all this time!
Best way to cure depression and anxiety for me, diet change. Carnivore diet in particular. Even my skin tags are disappearing. Look into it you guys. Im happier than i have been in a long time and loosing weight
Are you recommending the Carnivore diet or suggesting to stay away from it?
Vegans hate this one tip… 😂
I learnt to accept my anxieties which took a long time as a practice. I don’t welcome it or go looking for it, but if the feeling arises I accept it and treat it like a old familiar friend, with a smile and a ‘hey buddy I see you there..it’s ok’. Even this act alone seems to ‘lighten the burden’.
Trying to stop anxiety is the worst thing you can do-you just amplify the anxiety even more and now add stress at the fact that you’re anxious and the feeling won’t go away.
Experienced as someone who goes on stage to address the public all the time.
Love this
Love this!! I get so agitated at the stupidest things!! Thank you!!
i am so relieved to have discovered your channel tonight. i've finally found a good doctor who can help me not die prematurely. thanks for empowering me to heal myself and live longer
Thanks Dr. Berg, great information on relief from anxiety. God bless. 🙏❤🙏
Only 4,900 seminars in a row? Just kidding. I know the feeling. I'm very happy for you.
Ya gotta love Dr Berg's personal story. 💞 Thanks for this education.
I love how people was the first mention in environmental triggers. So true.
Did your fight or flight kick in over minor things ? Mine seem to kick in over minor things.
I love how you conquered a fear like that. Congrats doc
I don't have fight or flight response. I just freeze. Happens 99% of the time.
That's one of the extreme stress reaction. Not sure why doctors and other health professionals keep forgetting it.
@@thatgirl1269 that sounds so tough for you, I’m so sorry for all you’re going through at the moment. I hope a better way forward reveals itself to you 🤞
@@Christina...66 Thank you Chris, that's so very kind of you. God bless xo
@@skippy7208 Thank you, Rona. I guess we all suffer in life at some point, hopefully though the way forward becomes just a touch easier xo
What an incredible blessing to all of us that Dr. Berg fought thru his fear.
