    I’m so grateful I found ur channel. I’m 14 years old and my hair is DAMAGED, I was never really taught how to look after my hair myself so I feel like such a newbie. I had no ideas what all these terms meant. When I was younger my parents didn’t know what to do with my hair so I just but it in protective styles all the time and if I did take it out, I would either blow dry it all the time with heat or straighten. I also relaxed my hair like 2x a year which I regret so much 😞. I’m really trying to get my hair healthy again and I want to grow my hair. From the research I’ve done, I know that I have low porosity hair. No matter what I do my hair can just never retain moisture.
    Anyways I’m definitely gonna subscribe hopefully you can help me get back to having healthy hair.

    • @biancamccoy4902

      for retaining moisture, get the shea moisture leave in condition, shea moisture detangler, and i reccomend oil and blue magic. you can detangle your hair in the shower and then once you're out, you detangle a little more with the detangler then you put in your leave in and oil. then a little bit of blue magic on the surface of whatever protective style you do! and tie your hair up overnight with a bonnet and durag. make sure to tie your hair up every single day before you go to sleep so your hair doesn't dry out and your ends don't break. also make sure to do a deep conditioner after washing your hair. wear the deep conditioner with a shower cap on for atleast 30 to 45 minutes. then you do the whole "detangling, leave in, oil, blue magic and protective style process. cut off the ends every two months, but only by little bits unless you're fine with going all the way. once all the damage is off of your hair, your hair should be rapidly growing as you do the process every week. and make sure you detangling from the bottom up and in 4 sections to retain length and avoid breakage. and remember TIE UP YOUR HAIR EVERY NIGHT WITH A DURAG AND BONNET!! i hope that helped and you can just reply to the comment if you have any more questions :)

    • @elsaerika1673
      @elsaerika1673 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      bianca mccoy thank u so much ! I just screen shot that. For the oil, I’m gonna use black seed oil since I already have that, hopefully that’s ok

    • @biancamccoy4902
      @biancamccoy4902 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@elsaerika1673 it definitely is okay! also shea moisture products are a little on the expensive side but they are worth it! if you split your hair into 4 sections while incorporating the product into your hair, after your hair has been detangled, you won't have to use that much product per section so you will be saving product overall. if you do it in any other way it could cause product build up and product overload which you don't want. so just remember to do it in 4 sections and apply little amount of product into the sections while they are WET! and then when you're done with that put into any sort of protective style and leave that in for a week and then you can repeat the process on wash day. and remember to wash, deep condition, and apply product in FOUR SECTIONS! it's so much better for your hair. reply to this comment if you have any more questions for me :)

    I wish my mother would listen to me about there’s no products that’s go magically make her hair grow but she thinks that there is so she spends so many hard earned coins on products so she’s a product junkie and I was also when I first went natural but I ditched all that and went back to the basics which is water, grease, moisturizer and prepoo/ hot oil treatments with olive oil but that’s the only time I use oil on my hair and scalp. I seal with hair grease concoction. My hair absolutely loves olive and hair grease and it’s been flourishing ☺️

    I don’t know if you answer questions or not but I just wanted to give you some info about my hair. Sis😕 OMG...I’ve been keeping my hair braided from 2018 to 2020 and my hair went from my neck to almost my shoulders. I wanted my hair to grow longer and I was watching videos and everything. So I looked up this stylist on styleseat she was supposed to give me a 3 part sew in like we discussed on the phone, but when I get to her house she said she can’t do it🤦🏾‍♀️but me being so nice, she offered to do the upside down method and she braided the back too tight😣so I let her know she took it down redid it, it was still tight, but I didn’t
    Pay too much attention to it, cuz I thought I could just take pain pills and put warm water on my head to loosen the braids up but that wasn’t the case. Fast forward the next day I was in pain. I texted her let her know and wanted to know if she could do the style I requested and she didn’t want to do it and didn’t want to give my money back. I went to work my head was hurting soooo bad. My co-worker helped me take the back out and she accidentally cut my hair...didn’t say anything. Now I have a bald spot in the back of my head because it was tight Hand I have a bald spot on the top of my head as well. When I was trying to scratch my hair I promise to God my scalp started hurting. My mom told me to not scratch it, just rub it cuz it might be infected.😭😡GIRL I CRIED AND IM TRYING TO GET MY HAIR BACK TO GROWING. AND WHEN I SEEN YOUR VIDEO TO NOT GIVE UP ON YOUR HAIR, IT MADE ME HAVE SOME KIND OF HOPE FOR IT CUZ I PROMISE YOU IM AT THE END OF THE ROAD WITH IT. MY HAIR TYPE IS A 1b. I have pictures and all and I can meet anybody in person and show them my hair💯💔 I’m just so frustrated. I’ll take all the tips and advice that you can give me.

    • @mrod87
      @mrod87 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AjiaLaNiece mini twists thicken your hair A LOT if you commit to them bc ur hair is loose from ur scalp....but in a protective style...but not tied down....and ur hair isnt tangling so u end up losing less hair between stylings than other styles...or knotless boxbraids...knotless boxbraids are amazing too for length retention without thinning.

    By the way -- you dont need to cut your ends... If you keep chopping off your ends - you could be cutting off your new growth --- all you need to do is look for the bad end hair in cut that bad one off. - my hair is 19 on top 18 my bangs -- i use too be a 3 dagg on ich....yes ! From coloring my hair blonde - yall every 2 weeks then i blow dry it -- without heart pro.... Yo my hair fell out - broke off - from the coloring in heat.... Now - i wasnt gonna CUT OFF - the bad ends - cause then Ill have no hair". I didnt wanna look like steve harvey!! So what i did - every day! Yall hear me - everyday i put leave-in conditioner on my bad ends everyday!! I use rice water for my scalp - 4 days in then wash out.. Soon my hair went from my eyebrow - too pass my nose -- when i got it to my chin". Thats when i trim the bad ends off -- but a tiny bit.. Then when it grew back to my chin - i only trimed the bad dead ends - it was bad - like yall see the wood rolling in the texas street in a movie 😂😂.. But i kept it mist each day with water in the conditioner.... Now!! Look at my photo image here" i got a video here too on my page here yall can see my hair. So no - cut hair weeky.// just look for that bad one - after all - if your good new hair is growing! Why chop it off cause of 4 hairs or less. Wait for more too grow if ya wanna strigth acorss trim. A trim is a lost😊 of length so get in some lenght you dont mind loosing ❤

      You can try to super wet your hair and try to tell from there. But texture isn't the foundation of growtg
