And there it is at the back, Emerald Night. I sat holding that set contemplating if I should buy it, and did not because I wanted nasty looking new passenger trains because I was an idiot with no brain. Another great decision from me that has haunted me forever!
I do not, but honestly, it's not too hard and it's using some of the same build technics as the modern house. I would just build a modern house per the instructions and then start building floors around that. Build one floor and see how many extra parts you would need to build the others such as panels, door frames etc. The hardest part for me was building the floor bases, but luckily I hade quite a few of the larger 16x16 plate files to work with.
That tan family home set with garage looks stunning. That was from the era of quality Lego builds that did not break the bank, 64 wide at just 40 smackers. Wish I bought 10 at that price because that set was so packed with great parts. The only issue with that set was it stopped me buying Cafe Corner and Greengrocer because they cost twice as much and yet seemed smaller so seemed very poor value in comparison...well that one never came back to haunt me twice a week for ten years!
One of my favorite sets for sure. It was probably cheaper because the inside it not detailed, but it's so well done on the outside, that it doesn't matter and you can always detail the interior yourself.
Buy those Friends bedrooms and that music stadium in the same sized box, might help you flesh things out, a bit more. Anyway, looking good. Would one of those Friends L shaped shops, be something for that ground floor setup?
Nice modern looking apartment
Man I wanna live in that apartment 😳
no words needed. just amazing!
Stunning build! Definitely want to build one like it for my Lego City! :)
Awesome build, i love the penthouse/seventh floor section.
Thanks!
I beg you please put this on rebrickable

4954, yes, very nice! From the same era there's also 4956 and 4996 which are also great but some window/door parts are discontinued and expensive now.

Yes, but it's not in the city right now, it's on shelves.
