I think it would be useful to add lights to the bottom of the bridge where the skatepark is, many skateparks need or have a light source. having a flicker aswell would look great.
For making the skatepark less grey, check out some California skateparks. They often paint edges or flat areas a single color to help people discern where the coping or flat is and offer something to visually break up the grey area. Some also have sections made of bricks. Also, layouts of skateparks typically have ramps around the edges with obstacle in between so that people can just skate back and forth without pushing, which gets tiring quick. People also like to bring in DIY boxes made of all sorts materials that could pop against the grey. Skaters also like to grab things like road signs and sheet metal to cover cracks or make small bumps easier to ride over. We also like to skate everything close to the park too and the barrier surrounding the park looks like a great place to put some grind marks. Stuff scrapes off while grinding which leaves dark skids on edges after a while. There's all sorts of interesting obstacles that can be built so that it's not all just A-frames. Jersey barriers and pole jams are super cool things that I think could translate into Lego pretty easily. I'm happy to even see a park at all honestly, great job with the city!
In my opinion, you should rethink on the size of the cable car station on the mountain. When you look at it from a distance, it gives you the illusion that the station is gigantic in proportion with the mountains, since before, your idea for creating the mountains was to give an illusion of distance
@@dhycee8215 I meant when the gondola is in the city. Everything has to match in size, both stations and the gondola, so if he makes the station in the mountain smaller, then the others get scaled down too, and the ones close to the viewer will look too small. I think it looks fine as it is.
imagine some teenagers getting off at the end station of the tram. they will not walk all the way around to get to the skate park. what will they do? they will jump over the wall walk through the vegetation to get to the skate park. therefore you should add a small path of yellowed grass to make it more realistic edit: what i mean is to make it look like trampled grass instead of an actually path. it will be very realistic
Loads of engineering challenges there, but the boys are clearly up for a challenge! No way to transmit power through the nylon wire, so it would have to be battery-driven, which means matching up contacts on the gondola and in the top station so the battery can charge up in between runs.
Something that I think would be cool for this build, the mountain specifically, would be a hiking trail/climbing route that goes from the gondola all the way to the top of the mountain when it is complete, whenever that may be. There could also a be a secondary route that goes all the way from the base of the mountain and connects to the top gondola. Could have some hikers on it being attacked by bigfoot or something like that. Can't wait to see more!
not to harsh your buzz but hed probably have to deconstruct half the mountain to do that... if you want to make something like a path Worn down into the ground you cant just ADD on top.. hed have to take the entire thing apart, that or make some elevated trail, which with the sense of scale hes going after would be quite difficult to do at minifig scale.. its possible but thats a huge ask for not a lot
@@ForzaMonkey true but it would look sick, I see your vision. If he can’t make one going all the way up maybe he could make a path leading to a little fire tower or a path from the road to the forest. Either way you had a great idea, and would love to see him do something with it. Maybe he could do footpaths by the castle instead? Who knows, maybe he’s already thought of this too! :)
Please make the cable car slow down along its entire journey up. You use forced perspective to make the mountain seem bigger. You can't shrink the cable car as it ascends, but you can enhance the forced perspective by slowing it down as it goes up. This is just like how distand things seem to move slower.
I have a tip from engineering perspective. If you put the sensor horizontally, there can accumulate dust and interfere with the signal, in engineering we place sensors vertically if possible to simply surpass the problem of dust accumulation on sensors. Love all your content ! I hope I can visit the museum some time soon!
The cable cart is nice but: 1. It passes the street at street level, so there should be traffic lights or something like that to stop traffic (or the ground station could be moved to the other side of the road). 2. There are no parking spaces near the station 3. The top station should have a restaurant and/or lookout point 4. The original idea of using smaller trees to make the mountains look larger does not really work when your top station is as big as the ground station. I'd ditch that earlier idea and swap the little trees with normal sized trees. Then the cable cart won't go to the top of the mountain, but that's often the case, so I don't think that's a problem.
Yeah I think the gondola is a bit weird and out of place. No parking spaces? No staff buildings or restaurant or something? And it looks weird with the smaller trees.
I feel like the cable car kind of ruins the forced perspective of the mountains. Maybe if you made the car smaller, it wouldn’t ruin the effect as much? You could always consider adding it to a different future hill where forced perspective isn’t used as much
In addition, have the cable car slow down along the ascent, as distant objects tend to look like they move very slowly. Please please please. Make it seem like it's receding into the distance, not just moving a meter.
This could even work in his favor, if he uses the cable car elsewhere in the build to establish its size, and then simply hangs a red and white 2x2 at the mountain top it would drastically sell the forced perspective, since we now have a reference for scale. That one would just have to remain stationary.
Here are my little boys comments who is the actual fan of your work: Thank you for the skate park, you should add snow on the mountain as well as a ski area, you should also add a metro in your city, the old station has been hiding underneath the wild west moc 😉😉, Finally it would be nice to have a sketch like you did once (for the great city expansion) for the part where the city ends at the sawmill to know whats coming up next , Thank you!!
Even with the people the skate park looks a bit drab in color. Adding more people wouldn't work because it already has too many. My personal opinion is that the skate part would benefit a lot from some graffiti for color and aesthetics.
Hey Bricks Craft just a few design ideas: Maybe add a skatepark bench under a gazebo since most skateboarders don’t sit on the actual park as well as lights and graffiti and maybe an ambulance there because how is the doctor going to put his leg on if he’s not going to the hospital For the cable car maybe and like boom gates with flashing lights to stop cars travelling through and hitting the cable car and the cable car stop is way to big for the mountain in kind of sticks out like a sore thumb Thanks, love the build hopefully your sawmill gets to be an actual Lego product
You know what would be the coolest thing? You should make a tiny little car with a camera on it(doesn't have to be lego), and then drive it through the city for a while like you are a person living there. That would be so cool!
If you’re looking for ideas to populate the mountain, I would consider adding a couple of climbers! You could make a few of them be drilling into the rock to add bolts, or if you want to keep with the older style of the nearby village they could be quite funny to see some in tweed jackets and hobnail boots!
Have you considered adding some darker greens / some diversity of color in the large forest areas, specifically around the mountain?? I love your builds and been following for a while! Just something I’ve always thought. You’re awesome!
I love the area under the bridge! It feels so lively now, I can imagine the skateboarders getting off the tram and buying a drink or snacks before hitting the park!
Another great video! Would you consider adding a police station and fire station to your LEGO city? Would you also consider making a Medieval Kingdom. Build the castle again, except what it looked like in 1100s with a monarch, blacksmith shop, an enchanted forest with a subtle Shrek reference? LOL
Amazing! I love the details you have in your build. It really does raise the impression of an ative world which is generally pretty hard when dealing with anything miniature.
When you get back to lighting, I think having some overhead lighting on the skate park coming from underneath the bridge makes a lot of sense. This stuff looks great. Keep up the great work!
Love this! Looks great! I don't know how it would look in person but progressively slowing the gondola as it gets closer to top might give the illusion it's further away than it is.

Coolest city ever! The mountain top gondola station needs some platforms to be able to walk around it. Maybe some paths or minifies climbing the mountain or maybe a mountain top restaurant.
I love your dedication to realism, my only suggestion would be that all of your trees feel much too short. Even smaller city trees are taller proportionally. Just a suggestion, Great work!
I have a suggestion - since there’s currently nothing next to the cable car, so if I took it up I would just go nowhere, you should add like an observatory or something to the top of the mountain, if you weren’t going to already
Please please add a rock a climbing gym. The storytelling you could add to that would be awesome. Rock climbers on the mountain would also be a cool addition to that area.
You were worried that the mountain would look weirdly scaled but to be honest I think it looks fine. It just looks like slate cliff walls which lends credit to the idea that it wouldn't be super grassy because it's mostly rock. It doesn't give the impression of being this mega huge mountain like the Rockies in the U.S., but it does seem perfectly reasonable. And if there's nowhere (in this area) to build a road up to that height, it makes sense that you'd need a gondala. That being said, maybe consider a mountain path, it would take away from the majestic height idea you were going for, but it could disappear around the back of the mountain and give the idea that the mountain goes even higher, perhaps a second gondala exists elsewhere beyond the moc.
Although i think the working cable car is really cool, I think you should consider a non functioning cable microscale cable car and station to go with the theme and to aviod breaking the illusion of a tall mountain.
If the gondola decelerated gradually as it travelled up he mountain, it would help the illusion of the mountain being larger and the upper station being further away. Great build!
Love the skatepark, and the fact you put a small park right next to it, majority of skateparks at least where I’m from are usually built next too or in the parks itself along with stuff like tennis courts and basketball courts

I've thought that maybe you could add a theme park (with roller coaster) or maybe a power plant (nuclear?). I think either of those would look great with lights for the night set up. Either way, thank you for the update and keep up the good work.
The gondola seems a little low from that demonstration, like it would interfere with traffic. I recommend raising it about 3-4 bricks so traffic can pass under it, which should be easy enough to do by raising the upper and lower stations the same amount. Love your work, hopefully one day I can come see it in person, but it's a bit of a trip for me, living in Australia.
Gondola looks great. What about a crazy climber on the side of the bridge (like a dare/bet to free climb it?)? Just an idea. Definitely a light in the gondola would look amazing. Maybe a line of people to enter the gondola (with bikes or skis)?
I would suggest building the mountain even higher and building a hiking trail from the gondola station to the peak of the mountain. I think the mountains would look great if they were even higher and had snowy peaks.

Gondola looks great. What about a crazy climber on the side of the bridge (like a dare/bet to free climb it?)? Just an idea. Definitely a light in the gondola would look amazing. Maybe a line of people to enter the gondola (with bikes or skis)?
Let’s go Brickscraft. Just supported you Ideas project, it is so beautiful
You guys are very talented this is so cool to watch come together over the years and see you expand! Good job keep up the good work🎉
He should be a lego master builder with his brother. These are so authentic!
I think a light in the fountain next to the skate park could make it look really nice at night!
You should add overhead wires for the tram so it can get its power to move
I would love to see you add a waterfall and creek into one of your mountains. Really enjoying your work
Thank you, this is so much fun to watch 🤗
Love the vids and the city ❤, just wish I got to see it in person when I was in the area 😢
Love the city, glad that it is back! Great update!
I would suggest building the mountain even higher and building a hiking trail from the gondola station to the peak of the mountain. I think the mountains would look great if they were even higher and had snowy peaks.
You guys are truly talented. Ive always wished to build my own lego city, and it is just so cool to see someone actually doing it!
Once again a fantastic job, it just keeps getting better and better!
