The Tudor looks very cool where you placed it. I like the way the Angle on the building compliments the canal angle. I noticed that the LEGO store has one of the best spots in the city. I want to visit and see what they have on the parts wall.
Having a pub/ tavern next to train station would be normal for the UK, but i think you have found a good home for it near the canal. Maybe the down town diner could go near the beach, and the other diner be moved into the countryside with a small filling gas pump?
Wow the comments section with opinions is overwhelming… just commenting to say the museum street modulars are spectacular together and the final Tudor corner placement is *chefs kiss* by the canal there. Your city has grown so much recently with all the new modulars 😮 it’s incredible!
I frequently modify the side wall of modular to fit an end slot by adding wall details like drainage, electrical masts, tv antenna, wall vines, AC units, etc. It's particularly easy to do anywhere the interior has a SNOT brick for interior wall details. This is genius, I have been modifying buildings to hold outdoor elements by stacking 1x1 plates and vertical clips for years now, I never considered swapping existing bricks for a double SNOT. Excellent idea!
I absolutely love the idea of Turing the medieval table into an island. Here is my idea. On the left hand side, make that a peninsula that is like a national park and put one of the castles there. It would be like an old fort that is now a park. That ties into the old history of the city. That is like 1/4 to a 1/5 of the table and the rest is the city and you could put a lot of the skyscrapers there. Even potentially putting the port there, making room for more of the beach front. Especially since the port is “deeper” it would make sense for it to be farther from the coast. Also love how the canal is looking!!
This video really brought home the fact that I've basically had to stop collecting Lego, I just dont have room for more than I have besides minifigures to change up scenes. Watching Bricksie try to place the new modular and struggle despite having an ENTIRE warehouse has really brought this home for me. I wonder if Lego is about to have a "cap" moment for adult lego fans, with many simply running out of room to display or store it for that matter.
Yeah I've pretty much reached capacity. It is fundamentally a money problem because if I could afford an even bigger house then I would be able to display more stuff but obviously I can't so there's not much point continuing to buy new sets that will stay boxed up. Bricklink no longer allowing modular designs helps but within a few years I'll still have exceeded the capacity of my city.
@@samchan1031 Lego would no doubt love for collectors to have bigger houses and more space to display stuff so they buy more Lego but there are limits to that because a lot of countries actually have supply creation issues rather than lack of money issues. The US, UK,, Australia, Canada, New Zealand etc. all have housing supply issues even though there's obviously plenty of money sloshing around their economies given their house prices keep going up like crazy. They'd build more and bigger houses if they could but I guess they just can't.
Honestly, the build up from your various forms of content these past few days is so worth it. I prefer you balance all kinds of content cause lego city updates feel even more special
LOVE the placement of the Tudor Corner. With how canal is now starting to look like the old town core of the city, it might actually make sense to flip the position of the large, green roofed hotel to the other side of its block and have it fronting the canal.
I love how everything is coming together! Two comments though. I did like the Tudor next to the train station, and I think the museum needs a little space on its sides, like alleys or small green spaces. It looks too crowded. Otherwise your doing great things with this epic city. I love watching your videos each day to see what new ideas you come up with.
You could move the Haunted House on the top of the hill where the other houses are. you can make your own spot for the haunted house away from the other houses. Then you can put the hospital where the haunted house is at now.
Just a recommendation but I think you should imagine that the space between the city and the mid-evil island is a ocean and make part of the mid-evil island like a resort island with a hotel and nice tropical areas. It will add a nice touch to the foreground of the city!
Most recovering hospital patients recover quickest when awakened constantly by really loud train whistles...or at least they leave the hospital almost immediately. Too funny as I told the spouse the Tudor building would go best by our train station as usually the train depot is one of the first buildings in a developing town matching the age of the Tudor modular.
Love how it looks now! The Tudor corner looks perfect by the canal that really makes sense. I also think having the skyscrapers on one block just makes the whole city look clear and visible! Love the Parisian street location too the downtown really makes sense. I agree that the hospital doesn’t really fit anymore with how the city is but I think for the moment it does work in the location it’s in. I also think the new train station needs moving up half a base plate and putting something next to it as the bear wall at the front doesn’t look the best, or I have seen people say swap the shops on either side but that’s a lot of work. Really loving the content Bricksie I think your city is looking incredible!
Love the placement of the tudor modular, it looks great. Still think that the BrickCross needs to be mirrored, and the seating area + extended area be toward the camera as it would be a great scene for that area.
The city slowly takes shape even though it's quite full currently but it's looking fantastic! Amazing work to you Jordy and to José! Not sure if it's been mentioned but maybe next to the train station by the sea you could do a car park/parking lot but put the food cars/trucks there so it's a nice space away from the beach but also close by so the residents can relax and enjoy. The best part about it bing your city is that it's YOUR city and you can do whatever you want however you want. Keep up the amazing work and content
Here's an idea for you: I've noticed that apart from the contruction modular, you don't really have any construction vehicles in your city, like the 60420 Construction Excavator or 60409 Construction Crane. You could potentially utilise these, and similar sets for some storytelling and also to fill empty areas
I have a subjection for you to help control dust. I have 2 model railroads and a Lego city in my home. I run a 3-speed box fan with a 20x20 inch HVAC filter attached to the fan in each room. These do an amazing job, and I change out the filter every 6 months or so.
For the solid blank walls , what about bill boards ? Advertising special Bricksie Bargains / promotions ? These can be changed on a regular basis depending on ur spare time ect . Keep up the good work 👍🏻
The corner garage next to the police station looks great, due to their similar height. The placement of the Tudor corner nestled between the detectives office and assembly square also looks great, for the same reason. I think consolidating the skyscrapers was a good adjustment as well, I think it blends together a lot more seamlessly. Love what you're doing, keep up the awesome work! 😊
love the location of the tudor corner, that shot that you ave over the canal is just awesome! Can you fit another building next to parisian street so that you could make parisian street a bit mor visible to have it really be the view when driving up the street past the train station?
I think that’s the perfect spot for an angled road. It’s only a few baseplates of space, minimal disruption to the modular grid around it, and will look great in the front of the city. Try that and see how the space around it looks and feels before making more decisions in that area. Re-working the Hospital to simplify that pull in sounds like a good idea. The mini builds inside are great, but the road configuration seems to be a constant headache.
You should create a small seating area for the end of dark ages, and then you should add some of your food trucks where the hospital used to be. That way they can share the seating area, the trucks get a home, and it will nicely take up the space.
Put some snot bricks in place of some of the blue bricks on the side of the building and put a large tile if you have one, the ones used for the plaque on the technic Ferrari and have it as a billboard, maybe advertising bricksie land
1) Turn the island you're using for the mideval stuff into an actual island. Set up a ferry dock in one corner, and a matching ferry dock near the harbor. Put your downtown on the island. The medeval stuff can go into one of your outskirts zones as a Rennaisance Festival grounds.
I like the placement and what you have done today. I think that your hospital needs to grow. A placement in that green section between the downtown and the amusement park would make sense, and I think dedicating a full 2x2 base plates would be ideal. Hospitals just aren't tiny. Imagine a real life building that was four stories tall and 20x20 ft. I think you could make something more substantial that would still fit well with the scale of the city.
Definitly looks like youll be adding some potential new modular or city sets to the downtown area. I honestly would hold off on filling those spaces until we get most of next years sets. One set I think would look great in that Vencian area is the new Spanish Garden Diorama just like you incorporated the Tranquil Garden to the downtown park. Its a similar aesthetic and I think that area could use a little greenery.
Bricksie, (Tudor Corner) placed perfect, near the channel. (Parisian Street), better behind the (Venatian Houses), so you can use the platform wall as it's back-wall, setup, in which you can add in a cave like setup for extra interieur space.
I think the Tudor Corner looks amazing by the canal. I think diners make sense close to airports, train stations and gas stations. Looking forward to the next city update, thank you
Key Bricksie on a small island is a great option, regardless... Don't ditch your medieval area, maybe 1 cabinet smaller to accomodate key Bricksie if need be...
Perfect spot next to the train station, that’s exactly how we do it in New Zealand, every train station has a pub or two next to it, also common for us to relocate historical buildings like that to a location with high pedestrian traffic and restore them 😎
Possibly put Parisian Street Modular where new train station is and make the stairs to no where lead to a bridge crossing over the train to the beach boardwalk area! Just an idea. Also would love to see a back expansion to that Parisian Street set closing it in.
Maybe make the medieval area an amusement park / medieval hybrid? Kinda of like Disney World? This would free up the area in the main city that is being utilized by the current amusement park and overall a hybrid area could easily make sense, so it's not like it's strange and out of place. You could connect the train to the hybrid area and then do a boardwalk on the hybrid area that faces the city to match the beach/boardwalk that is already on the edge of the main city.
I suppose you could do a small "walled city" on the edge of the medieval area, and populate with buildings such as Tudor Corner, but as you say, you have a load of castles that don't want to be squished together, and how many medieval buildings are we reallly likely to get to go with Tudor Corner? I think the placement within the main city looks decent.
You could design and print some custom billboards to put on the blank sides of buildings. Print them on stickers put them on plates that you could attach with a couple of snot bricks.
Nice view of your Lego city. What really would pop it is some integrated lightening. Inside light in your buildings and some spotlight. And lightning in the streets.
I would recommend putting the retro diner on a corner leading into an alleyway as the stair side really fits with the darker tones of an alley plus the back area with the bins could make it work. looks awesome though, I definitely wish to have a city as large as your one one day. do you ever wonder if one day it might get to big and you have no room left?
I did like the double eating area by the train station; but yeah you'd have wanted to do something to make that back wall more interesting if you'd kept the Tudor Corner there.
The new modular looks good. I am excited to get the new clock piece coming in the set since I now 100% have plans to get the X mansion because of that clock piece since it will help me add a townhall to my lego city.
Grouping the Victorian style buildings is good, but frankly most downtown buildings are quite different. The hospital should look fine in most places, and the skyscrapers look great.
Hey Bricksie, I think if you used the parisian street backed on to a train line, it would be possible to use the staircase as part of a pedestrian bridge going over the line. That would fix your height variation problem.if you used it behind the beach then the slim 16 studd bit wouldn't look too out of place either.
With modular buildings with the solid back like when you showed the new building by the train station, have you thought about covering part or all of the blank side if the building with ivy? Or possibly add some brick textured bricks and some hanging past the edge of the building to simulate an old torn down neighboring building that used to be in the city before the road was built?
As far as placing the Tudor Corner, I like option 2, but I also think option 3 looks the best. Roof heights and wall depths are similar to the surrounding buildings and the colours don't clash so I think that is the best location. Option 2 still looks good too, as far as the backside goes, as long as it looks good from 3 angles the back isn't important. Also, what a coincidence, my first modular was also the detective's office! :D And I'm also shuffling around my city to accommodate the Tudor Corner. I had just gotten settled with the layout and then this comes out :P
Maybe could have just built an ivy wall on the back of the tudor corner, would hide the blank wall and it would fit the theme of the vintage style building.
Perhaps you can move the parisian street back and in front of it make room for cars that can park infront of it, it would make it a little more easier for you 😀
What you should do with the side of the pub (Tudor Corner) is when you put that diagnal road in put a diagnal filler building in on the corner between the pub qnd the road
Your going in a good direction with the city layout but maybe you should remove any build over a set height from the city, don't trash what you remove as you could make a diorama with them in the studio somewhere.
On the corner next to the train station. A public bus station would make sense. The buses could pull in on one side of the corner and out the other side.
The Tudor house looked better next the station, in the uk it’s not uncommon to see buildings that were surrounded sitting on their own because they are protected buildings and the other building weren’t and needed to go.
With the new Spiderverse Bodega set, I feel like you're going to have some new opportunities for small modules that can fill in some of those spaces going forward.
Do what you said about connecting the main city to the IKEA island, and make the island the theme park. You could have part of it be medieval themed, flowing into the more modern rides and attractions.
Jordan how about this: build a train track around the medieval scene but instead of building it to have train cars, build it up as a dragon circling the city for the knights to fight.
Perhaps a custom “expansion” of the left side of the Parisian street to fill in that half baseplate and then the stairway is more centered and perhaps feels less out of place
Could the hospital go next to the tuning garage especially if the amusante doesn’t go the whole way through and 6:34 could the road be made straight rather than a squiggle
i totaly understand your way of placing the buildings, makes sence for you, but if i may say, wouldnt it be better to place them in groups? like you do in ninjago, residential,... i would place them by the type - era - style, so modern with modern, the train station and tudor modular looked perfect together, like in real UK... so i think to have som districts with same style builds would look great.
What if you left the Tudor corner next to the train station and made a mural with tiles on the side of the building? Build if off some plates and exchange some bricks with SNOT to attach to the building.
Along the canal there is a building with columns that looks kind of like the clocktower in Back to the future. Can you take that one out, slide the one on the left over and use the Tudor corner there? It looks very similar to the building style on the block.
If you are adding to the brick cross there is a rebrickable half plate for inspiration. "BRICK CROSS TRAIN STATION EXTENSION by Marxxx" It also expands the platform for the train 👍
Videos like these really need to be showcased in 4k. We are missing out on so much detail, especially when watching on a 4K tv. New phones can film in 4K, so I don't get why poeple are still wasting time with 1080p videos in 2024.
Maybe start building a beginning of a second city in the opposite corner and put some of modular buildings over there and move the amusement park in the middle on the elevated area.
The set and placement looks so good, man you just keep on making this city look good or better and better.😮💨 I need to win a lottery or something so I can put a million of it into lego😂 I so badly want to build my lego city ideas.
G'day Jordan josie happy Sunday. Saterday for you. I was ment to be on. Mayo s live stream tomorning. But got other stuff to do. Nice fitting the moduler. Into a spot .😊 💥👌 That steep s part on the side I thinking of walking it of and extend that little balcony out above the steeps 😊 what I come up with atm to add my own tuches to it. Like I do with every moduler. 😊
Hey man, this is the most impressive Lego project i have ever seen. Seriosly, this is amazing. Keep doing what you are doing, it's really isnpiring. I do have a question if anyone knows and can help. What set are these 2 buildings comnected with the airbridge that goes over the river? The white and blue one and the pink one.
Cheeky pint in Railway Tavern or Lord Aberconway while waiting for your next train 😉
Swap it out for double-sided SNOT brick to get attachment points.
This is genius, I have been modifying buildings to hold outdoor elements by stacking 1x1 plates and vertical clips for years now, I never considered swapping existing bricks for a double SNOT. Excellent idea!
I was thinking using snot technique to do a mural or billboard on that empty wall. Your solution sounds more doable.
@thorn0581 mural sounds awesome and easy to attach, harder us making the art itself

What you should do with the side of the pub (Tudor Corner) is when you put that diagnal road in put a diagnal filler building in on the corner between the pub qnd the road
Tudor corner looks perfect where it is, great location.
Love where the Lego store is
You should consider doubling the Lego store so it matches the height in that block where the hotel & jazz club is
In UK there are sometimes old buildings alone. They can't be torn down because they are listed
Could you possibly add at a studded mural on that solid wall of the Tudor modular? Of course, that depends on where you end up placing it permanently.
6:30 I suggest a fake façade over the solid walls that are not aesthetically pleasing. Placement is excellent!
That placement looks great. Hard one to place and loved your experimentation and reasoning.
Great video thanks for sharing.
With the new Spiderverse Bodega set, I feel like you're going to have some new opportunities for small modules that can fill in some of those spaces going forward.
I’d stick skyscrapers at the very end, they would look good from the distance and you have good transport links in your city 😉
You could always make some billboards to put on the side of the buildings.
Do what you said about connecting the main city to the IKEA island, and make the island the theme park. You could have part of it be medieval themed, flowing into the more modern rides and attractions.
You could ad graffiti on the side of the new Modular to make it look nicer
Super awesome set, i can't wait to have this one. Maybe you can add some leaves on this wall. Love your videos, always!
Jordan how about this: build a train track around the medieval scene but instead of building it to have train cars, build it up as a dragon circling the city for the knights to fight.
9:39 where you’ve placed this looks absolutely amazing 😍😍😍
Perhaps a custom “expansion” of the left side of the Parisian street to fill in that half baseplate and then the stairway is more centered and perhaps feels less out of place
Man, the city looks so official and clean in the thumbnail! Really looking good buddy! ❤
You could always build scaffolding (construction) on the end of the Modular’s that are not against another building.
You could build a platform into the false wall on the Parisienne street. So the stairs to nowhere have someplace to go.
What if you left the Tudor corner next to the train station and made a mural with tiles on the side of the building? Build if off some plates and exchange some bricks with SNOT to attach to the building.
Great spot for the Tudor Corner!!
the tudor buildings looks amazing by brickcross. they even match each others styles
Along the canal there is a building with columns that looks kind of like the clocktower in Back to the future. Can you take that one out, slide the one on the left over and use the Tudor corner there? It looks very similar to the building style on the block.
Put the Parisian Street by the back wall by the raise townhomes and make a walk way connect from the Parisian street stairs to the top of the hill
If you are adding to the brick cross there is a rebrickable half plate for inspiration. "BRICK CROSS TRAIN STATION EXTENSION
by Marxxx" It also expands the platform for the train 👍
Videos like these really need to be showcased in 4k. We are missing out on so much detail, especially when watching on a 4K tv.
New phones can film in 4K, so I don't get why poeple are still wasting time with 1080p videos in 2024.
Maybe start building a beginning of a second city in the opposite corner and put some of modular buildings over there and move the amusement park in the middle on the elevated area.
Parisian Street’s staircase is leading to the second story, assuming the back is slightly extended.
Delete the stairs on the Paris street then move the buildings together. Could solve the space on the side and the mystery staircase.
15:48 Where did you come up with your design for the Boutique Hotel? And how many set were required to make it?
Love the Tudor and the area looks awesome!!! 🎉
The set and placement looks so good, man you just keep on making this city look good or better and better.😮💨 I need to win a lottery or something so I can put a million of it into lego😂 I so badly want to build my lego city ideas.
I would love to see a hockey arena in the space between the downtown and the amusement park.
To solve issues with plain walls. You ever think abou5 to a fasacde layer that has like a mural/art of something? Would be cool
Would you consider adding billboards to the plain sides of the buildings to add interest?
