Lonliness isn't only caused by lack of spouses. Friendships also play a central role.
I just want a friend, I’m so tired of being left out and overlooked. Life feels so meaningless
I understand where you are coming from. I feel alone, I don't have to many friends. I feel like I don't fit in with anyone not even with people in church.
@@sandrakrys9262 and Christopher Tracy.....same here. Our enemy always wants us to feel we are the only ones who feel like this. Seeing all these comments helps with that.
I just recently moved to this area and didn't know anyone. Found a church to attend not far, attended the ladies' bible study every week for 6 months thinking I could make a friend there.....finally I reached out to one of the ladies who I thought would be good to talk to and opened my heart to her....still no one calls if I'm not there and they all interact with each other and I never get invited. This is very sad, low point in the body of Christ.
@@daughterbeloved9901 it's like that with me. I am so lonely. I often think what's wrong with me. I get so depressed. The friend I do have is married and have her own life. Others that I used to be friends with, I had nothing in common. The closer I got to my relationship with God and with the current events of the world we drifted apart. The church I go to, everyone has cliques or it's couples that hang out with each other. I feel so out of place. I volunteer in the nursery once a month, but other than that I feel so awkward. I pray to God and tell him how lonely I feel and ask for fellowship with others like me. I have tried to talk to people, but it goes nowhere. My kids have their own lives and are never around even though 2 live with me.

I feel like I'm in this same boat right now. My bf just broke up with me a little less than 2 weeks ago and I live with extended family whom I'm not close with. I don't know if it's just the emotions from my breakup but I've felt quite lonely the last almost 2 weeks. I'm really trying to keep my chin up but I wish I had my Mum, Dad and brothers here with me so I wouldn't feel all by myself. My friends also mostly live far away from me so I don't have that close support system I would like. I'm really trying to look up to God and trust that this is all part of a plan that he has to do something new in my life but it just such a trying season right now
I’m in my 20s and I’m single. At first I used to rely on my ex relationship for EVERYTHING. And when we broke up I was going through so much anxiety, depression, panic attacks etc. it was a horrible month of no sleep and loneliness anxiety and sadness.
He wouldn’t return my calls or respond to messages and in that time I learned to make Jesus my everything. I learned to rely on Jesus. Jesus completed me. So I’ve learned to not EVER seek completeness or joy from man; but rather from the Lord. I’m still growing in this but thankful for the revelation.
I still go through loneliness because I wish I had genuine God fearing friends and support but I’m mostly alone. So I will take this time to fully immerse myself in Lord.

Honestly I felt lonely even around my family. It's difficult for them to take time listening each other. No one takes time to understand each other. I don't know what to do, but I have my Faith in God

Hi. I’m 49 and never been married and with only a small circle of friends. I’ve always been sort of a loner all my life and am uncomfortable in social events. Sometimes I am ok with being alone but as I get older, it’s getting harder to ignore the silence in my life. Thanks for your tips and will examine my life some more.

Loneliness is definitely something that we ALL deal with in life...in different seasons and many different ways - just like you mentioned. (wanting a spouse, wanting friends...etc). You are so right! It is often a test but also a a sign that we need to REACH OUT just like you said! 👍

Lucky Luchiano well, I think it's very important to spend time with other believers. Even if you are a loner. God's word tells us how important it is to gather with other believers to encourage and be encouraged. The enemy wants to keep us secluded but that is not God's plan for us. We were created for relationship with the Lord AND with others. So that's where I would start. 😊
I know that I am not Lorie. But your question struck a chord. I"m pretty much a loner as well. Not that I don't like people or what to have friends to hang out with or even a special one to be all romantic and stuff with. But my work schedule always keeps me at odds with the schedule of others. I'm always working when they are off. Anyway, I have found that the more I get to know Jesus, the more I am ok with the process. I am ok being by myself because I am not alone. Once there, the rest, all the other relationships I have, are the gravy.... so to speak.
I'm going through loneliness right now. And i know that god is preparing me for my life purpose.

wow, everything said in this video is exactly how i am feeling right now. I am 47, never married, no children, and I am truly in a season of loneliness waiting to hear from God. But I will not give up.
As I have no family, friends or a spouse, this season is lifelong. I'm just trying to find a way to not feel lonely even though I'm always going to be alone.

If we feel lonely, remember the way you treat God YAHWEH is how you will treat your spouse or friends or anyone you ever have any relationship with. Thats why if you treat God Yahweh like your supposed to, you will never truly be lonely because you will constantly be remembering him and be in an infinite prayer/meditation with him. So talk to him like how Paul said, in constant prayer! And do like how Solomon recommends and honor him in EVERYTHING.
Just remember that, as with any relationship, this takes time and consistency. Once you start, do not ever stop and this will become a reality.

I struggle with loneliness so much, not a boyfriend girlfriend thing but a desire to be close to people have someone to talk to. I desire unsexual intimacy. I like to be close to people. I want to be able to talk to someone for hours on end that I can fall asleep with/wake up with. It sounds like a relationship but I don’t want anything sexual. I just want to feel loved. This loneliness feels like I’m drowning alone. I often feel alone even when I’m around people.
Hey, I know this sounds cheesy, but no feeling is finale. God Loves you more than humans can ever comprehend. Your not alone because he's always there, even when we don't feel it. When you mentioned wanting to talk to someone hours on end, it kinda reminds me of how I pray. I'm getting a little side tracked but when I pray, I usually tell him everything and it's like a conversation between friends. Desire to be close to him and loneliness will not bother you as much bc that's what happened to me. Do you have an Instagram? I'm asking bc you can Dm me if you want to talk about anything :)

Been BEGGING God for a wife for nearly TWENTY YEARS! Not only have I done everything that I know to do in order to grow closer to God; volunteering at church functions, studying the Bible, giving money and time to the church, praying, begging, pleading for an end to my loneliness. Still so alone and rejected no matter what I do. So ready for an end to this misery.

Gods timing is perfect it’s important to understand you don’t need anyone else God is more then enough because God is love .
Maybe God is trying to teach you “love me first” .
God wants a real strong relationship with you maybe it’s a test of faith but all Ik is hang in there Bc the sec u give up could be the sec you could’ve had it all.

Same boat here brother. Never been in a relationship. I been thinking about why this is, if we have multiple relationships over the years they start to become shallow and not as deep as they should be. But when God does bring that one special person into your life, your gonna be in the mindset that God wants you to be.
Faithful, absolutely devoted, caring, tender-hearted, just keep going, keep reading the word and relying on God, He hasn’t forgotten you, He wants the best for you, trust His timing, He cannot fail.

I'm 31 years old and all my friends that are Christian guys are either married or have a girlfriend. I am single. I rarely ever talk to my Christian guy friends anymore and they have not even reached out to me at all. When I would talk to them, they didn't seem interested in talking to me. It has been over a year since I have spoken to most of them or seen them. If I texted them, they would either respond days later or just say no. I even was told by an older married man that married people do not like hanging around single people and that statement is very true. My married friends (or not friends anymore) don't even acknowledge me anymore. I have made some friends but most of them are gay men. I honestly do not even want to go to church anymore cause its full of married people with their kids and nothing for singles. I would rather watch the sermon online and not have to step foot in a church. Its worse feeling alone with a bunch of people around you than feeling alone in your own house.
The struggle is very real and unfortunately married people are also human beings whose plates are full. I also have my fair share of alienation. "Single" are labelled as undesirable. But chin up! God never leaves you nor forsakes you
Extended loneliness is just so painful and crippling!

Great video! I needed this. I am married and very lonely. After I take care of the children, work and the household, I'm alone...No conversation, dates, support, building anything...I grew up and he did not....I can't do much for myself because he makes it hard for me to have time or funds. He doesn't help with the kids....report card conferences, appts, etc. I do everything!!!!! even household fixes. I'm torn but I trust God would help me...I no longer feel his love or interest. it's painful. he wasn't always like this and doesn't care that he's hurting his family...The children and I. I would pour my heart out with no response or a mean one, I'd write a letter and he will never bring it up...when I do, he says, oh you needed a response... smh I thank you for this video! God Bless

Omg!! The spirit hit me with this. God has removed people and distractions out of my life in January. I'm thankful he did because they were very toxic, negative, and did hurtful things to me. Now, I'm more than ever focused on God.
Mr Parr can you pray for my daughter who is experiencing loneliness. She is a teen and she is a good daughter. I cry for her not having friends her own age. She tries to reach out, but whenever she thinks she has a friend it turns out not to be. I try to believe that GOD is rooting out all the bad ppl that can come into a person's life. I hope and pray she makes a friend or two when high school goes back to in person learning. Please pray for her and other ppl who are dealing with loneliness, especially young ppl who don't get high or drink to belong. AMEN and thank you.

This is a very good take on how loneliness is. Maybe God is trying to tell me I need to be alone for awhile to get ready for being with somebody. Thank the Lord for friends that helped me to get through this loneliness. But God has a plan.

I've been thru YEARS of loneliness. I got away from an abusive marriage and since then (10 years ago ) I have been suffering from chronic illness and isolation. I don't know how to let Him love me thru this. I'm SOOO discouraged. I try to give all my burdens to Him. I don't have the energy to go out and socialize. It seems like this is all there is😢
While this quarantine and coronavirus is going on it’s tough for everyone. Get in contact with a church and find like-minded friends through church etc.There’s always hope.
@@austincrook8430 many people in churches do not understand chronic illness, especially if it doesn't show. It can be exhausting just to shower, dress, and then to show up. So much prayer is needed. The right doors do open.

I like what you said about taking the time to build your relationship with God. If he is supposed to be first in our lives, then, part of the solution to loneliness is by developing this first and most important friendship, and then you do become less alone as you wait for the other relationships to develop. And you will also be in a healthier place in which to develop those other ones.

Growing up I never had many friends, I suffered from depression for many years and my therapist prescribed Zoloft , now at 25 I'm in a state with no family finishing up my RN degree. The only thing that has stopped me from committing suicide is the fear of going to hell

I was prescribed Zoloft too. I’ve felt the same fear of hell and I’ve also suffered from depression and anxiety. Let God’s hope in. It’s hard but we’re all here to help each other. You got Xbox?

You don't know about this dude, but last night I was really depressed about a girl that I am kind of afraid to invite (friendship request) due to rejection, eventhough we'll be traveling together to a foreign country soon. I've been single all of my life now (25 years old at the moment) and don't get me wrong, I am not some ugly dude or whatever, it's just that I don't get these girls.
And I just seen your video now about this very issue ( loneliness ) and I believe it is God who spoke to me through you. It can't be a coincidence, it just can't be. Ever since I've started receiving visions through dreams from the beginning of 2015 (eventhough I'm a christian since birth), it can't be a coincidence on how the very next day after my strong depression I just saw your video. I've been struggling with loneliness all of my life and last night was one of those moments that I had such a... hard time dealing with this.

Maybe I can encourage you too, friend. Eventually I sent her an invitation and when she accepted, we've talked for a while but she stopped, as if she wasn't even interested. This is the time when I finally said to myself -> It's over, I am tired of this. Because I have spent almost my entire life so far trying to be accepted by other people, especially finding a nice girlfriend.
If you just think about it, why do we waste so much time on people and other crap when we can actually focus on OURSELVES and God? Didn't The LORD tell us that being a friend of the world is an emnity with Him? If you just think what actually a 'friend of the world' means, it's exactly that... chasing other people, trying to fit in the 'social club' and basically doing things that God is not approving at all.
I am happy to tell you that I've stopped doing all of this and started focusing on God and myself trying to build a career. And I can't describe you the freedom I am feeling right now, as it says in John - "The truth will set you free".
The path will not be easy, but if we stay on course we will get there eventually.
So, I pray and hope that you find that same freedom. Being lonely and rejected is actually a big blessing because this way God allows us to focus on Him and ourselves and build the lives we are meant to.

Mhm, there are always going to be hardships, but that's how we develop a strong character as The Bible also states in a couple examples:
“Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.”
- Timothy 2:3
"That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:"
- 1 Peter 1:7
There is always going to be trippings on the way, but the important thing is to get back up and NEVER give up. I know that this is all easy on words, but if we do not put any action, then we have no power. Otherwise, how can someone expect the Word of God to have any power if he/she does not use it?
Only by putting the words into action we will have the power to overcome anything. But we are also children of God and sometimes we will fall, but only by getting back up we will mature.
Of course I wouldn't mind trying to find a partner, but we should not put our full attention to it. Our full attention should be focused on God, ourselves (personal lives - character, career etc.) and helping other people when possible and everything else will be alright.
I also have my own personal plan for success:
- Consistency
- Hard work
- Endurance
- Patience
And remember that failure always leads to success, no matter in what area of your life you are finding yourself in, as long as you are consistent, work hard and be patient that your time will come eventually. You've probably heard the saying "Hard work always pays off"? -> It's true.

In my youth, I always had a relationship with a man. Not any of them were Godly. After two devoices, I am left to be alone for the rest of my life.
And I was lonely in both my marriages. My daughter has moved away and has no time for me.
I am lonly. My Christain friends are not help in this matter.
So now, I am wanting to be changed into the Bride of Christ that the Bible talks about.
We will be changed SOON sis (1 Cor. 15)! Christ is the LORD of the O.T., because the LORD (GOD) of the O.T. is the Bridegroom and we know WHO is the Bridegroom in the N.T. - YESHUA (JESUS)
Great is the MYSTERY... GOD was manifest in FLESH... LOL............

I am sorry for what you have been through. I pray God can be your very close comfort. I am not divorced, but I do know what it feels like to be utterly lonely and it's so hard sometimes you feel like you can't breathe. Can’t wait for this long season to pass. I have been single 9 years and have struggled. This sounds bad but I’ve really disliked this time, most of the time. Lord only knows when this will end.

I have to be honest with this, being in a lonely season does not get me wanting to reach out to God. Feel like my season has been my whole life 🤦🏾♀️ 😫 I've been in the midst of friends and family and still felt alone. It's not even about having a man or being married, its having someone to talk to and what makes it harder is being the only single person in a crowd of married and coupled up friends

I am tired of being lonely and being my own village. My family is broken and I wished I had support. I wish I had memories of good times instead all I remember is toxicity and abuse. It’s really sad.

Thank you for this message. It somehow just popped up in my TH-cam feed even though I've been subscribed for a while. I'm married and alone. And it's a lot worse than being single and alone I can guarantee it. I used to sit at church and dream what my future would be like with a mate at my side who I can talk to for hours, go to church with, ect. My husband refuses to listen to anything I have to say. We barely talk. And when we do, he takes everything badly. It's extremely frustrating and tiring.
Singles, trust the Lord fully and completely in your lonely stages. Get more involved in church. Reach out to other friends, have fun. Marriage is not always everything you need it to be, but Jesus always is.
God will restore your marriage I recommend seeking help and guidance from Focus On the Family. They have a ton of resources for married couples and can guide you in the right direction. I will pray for you. Pray for your husband God can change his heart. Remember the good days and why you got married in the first place don’t give up ❤️🙏🏻

I just wonder why God makes it difficult for some of us to feel connections. The only thing i look forward to is sleep. I have no friends,no family moment and no time. I pray god helps us all to feel connection. Connection is important.
I am about to go through what I think is going to be 2 years of loneliness. I have so much faith that this is just going to be a season, and like you said, God has something for me on the other side, also I am going to work hard these two years and stay faithful in Jesus, but man, it’s hard. I already have thoughts that I’m going to feel so lonely without my friends and especially the one who I feel is very, very close to me. I don’t want a spirit of fear with the feeling of loneliness, but I still have these thoughts that I’m not going to see these people (pretty much) ever again. Thank you so much for making these videos, you explain things perfectly, and you are a true man of God.

Yes I’ve volunteered in so many capacities and always been a social butterfly and a doer.
