- Focals smart glasses by North use some of the tech previously seen in Intel’s Vaunt glasses. They project a laser onto your eye and show notifications, map directions, and text messages. Unlike Google Glass though, the Focals do not have any cameras. We reviewed the new smart glasses and found that while the technology might be the best yet, it’s far from perfect.

Yes you should be able to do that, but it would be way too impractical,as you would need to send dozens of emails just for a paragraph of text.What's more you might not even be able to send images.

I don't think it'll take that long. In the next 5-7 years graphene production will be perfected spark a tech revolution not seen since the industrial revolution. We'll be able to do everything but eat it.

I like the technology but they don’t have enough use. Phone calls & directions when driving are a must. I hope in the future we could have apps like twitter & Instagram or even TH-cam if possible. They don’t really do much now

Intel had an identical concept, but canned it after some bad press. I really think they could've done a better job with their deep software engineering resources.

Another thing 600$+ for that thing serves less productivity, imagine you having a mini handler to scroll down the couple of things where you can see the notifications by seeing your phone and it takes only a blink.

I'm glad about how far the technology has become. It looks nice, and the effect looks pretty good too. I like the ring controller idea. But I agree that for now, it's quite pointless and especially about the price. Hope they will keep developing it, and one day it will be a more helpful gadget and tool. (Hopefully more affordable also)
