    I'm on my 3rd Subaru, an 02 Bugeye for a year, from an older couple in their 70s. It's an auto but I'm a technician so I cannot wait to 207 swap it among other sti only goodies.. in the states it's gonna be tough to find these older bits lol. Thanks for sharing the sweet content 🤘🙏

    what was the total engine removal time?
    and that technique.... that one tool method is interesting. What's the reason to the rhyme?

    • @OkiSubies
      @OkiSubies  ปีที่แล้ว

      Removal of the engine can typically be done within an hour.
      What tool and method are you referring to?

      @@OkiSubies WOW! Maybe I'm just uneducated but that seems super fast!
      At that speed, even just doing valve cover gaskets isn't that bad at all
      The one tool method you guys used... just unbuttoning everything by tool rather than by parts. super interesting... Why do it that way rather than part by part?
      keep up the awesome work and videos!
      love the concepts behind your stuff. Hoping to get my first GC8 soon!

    • @OkiSubies

      Well there is two of us and we are both pretty experienced and have done it so many times that we can get them out pretty quick.
      Oh that method! Haha yeah, it is honestly just an attempt to save time. If you focus on part by part you end up going back and forth to the tool box to switch up tools and that takes time. We also separate it that way sometimes. Like one guy is doing the top of the engine while another is underneath tearing it apart. But everyone is different and there isn’t anything wrong with doing it by part🙂
      Really appreciate you watching and your questions 🤙🏼

    I have a 2001 jdm STi ver 7 engine just like that one, swapped into a 2002 usdm wrx. I'm having the same issue, low compression cylinder 4, diagnosed to be an exhaust valve issue. I'm considering a hybrid build using a RA EJ257 and having the heads modified for the larger 2.5L displacement. I see conflicting information that my cylinder heads have small ports, can you clear that up ? Would my heads be the small port variant ?
    Love your videos, please keep doing them.

    • @OkiSubies
      @OkiSubies  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have heard that also and we have compared version 7 and version 8 ej207 heads and we have also compared them to the ej205 heads and all the ports are are the same size. We will do a video comparing the different heads just for you man!!!
