Hey you found my secret update comment! I've also applied for Rapidus but they're even more regional than Dispatch. Any other new side hustles I should check out? I'd like to make a video on TikTok monetization too, quite a few interesting things happening over there 👀
Well said, that's like here in Pittsburgh I have Bethel Park, West Mifflin, North Versailles but they're decently spread out so I just target one for a shift.
I'm also in the Pittsburgh area and I went to sign up but they want $40 to do the background check. If I'm just going to get put on a waiting list I don't think that's going to work
Modern-day slavery. If you want to break your back while making them richer, go ahead and sign up. I did dispatchit for 8 months and had to stop. I couldn't even break even. There is no way $65 for 2 full pallets of hardwood flooring from Home Depot is a fair rate. Between waiting for the order in Home Depot, driving and delivering it, you could spend 4 hours and there goes the whole day. If you think you can make another delivery that day, good luck. What's crazy is that the invoice for material is sometimes over $ 5000. So the customer thinks that you are making a lot of money and they do not feel bad for you. They assume that you are making $1000's of that order. I was never even offered a bottle of water. Dispatchit also have Paint delivery, Oxygen and Gas tanks but that the pay is even worse. This gig market should be regulated. I think $30 for every 100 lbs + 1 per mile should be the minimum.
Hi, I'm in the Dallas, tx area and just attempted to sign up for Dispatch. Immediately went to waitlist due to "vehicle type, Pickup truck, is at capacity in". I will keep you posted
I think it depends on Market. I just got activated this morning and the app has been hot but it’s all small car orders in the dense urban areas that I stay out of. Using a truck is why I signed up but now knowing the priority jobs being sent to others will make this interesting.
@@YourDriverMike $2 or more per mile FROM PICKUP. But the app does not show the total mileage from your location like DD UE, only time. I’m seeing short routes under 10 miles from the pickup but you need to be closer to urban districts. Guessing that’s where the warehouse or distribution centers are. For example, $10 dollar fare for 5 miles for a small package, but the time was 40 minutes to complete. Heat zone map will tell all once you’re signed up.
so if you sign up with a truck, it doesn't let you also do the "car" orders? Like it strictly puts you in the truck category and only able to take bigger orders?
Have had dispatch for damn almost 2 years paid the background check have never gotten a delivery there might be a notification once every 2 or 3 months but as soon as it pops up it disappears. Got a cargo van for something else and updated car info on dispatch thinking it would open up new opportunities but no still dead and im in Atlanta Ga
I would have probably stopped watching the video around the beginning if he just said they're going to charge you for a background check and then you're going to be put on a wait list and likely not getting any jobs thank you for the heads up
That is funny that Amazon will not let you deliver in an open bed truck because when I was a delivery driver for Amazon, that they rented trucks that were open bed and we had to make deliveries out of them because some bands had gone out of service due as I say, not as I do
What do you mean it’s going down?? Also does anyone know why I can’t sign into Roadie lately,? It’s not saying my username or password is incorrect but it won’t sign me in either
Really appreciate that, I try to find platforms that are large enough for most US workers albeit some of these are more regional at times. Also platforms that are vetted, that weren't just created last night per se. Plus I'll throw in just some odd/interesting ones like Hampr from time to time.
You did a great job on this video, but I think you missed an important detail. How do you know what you are delivering? At least in Roadie, they give you dimensions and weight. Can you explain that process?
Dispatch sucks! 74 mile round trip takes at least 2 hrs round trip in DFW. For a measly $27. That doesn't cover the gas on a transit van. Talk about greed!
Could you explain how Uber works as you just did with this current video? I currently earn about $20.00/hr after being online 5.5 hours per day driving for Uber. I also spend about $20.00 to $30.00 per day when driving for Uber.
That would be foolish unless you got money to burn. Renting vehicles isn't cheap and a box truck would be very costly. A lot of upfront money to be doing a trail and error experience.
@@AJT-zy9ok I am not suggesting to do it long term, but to see if doing dispatch would be worth it. It's a test. Obviously you would want to own the box truck if you plan to do it long-term, but Mike is doing this for educational purposes and inform us of his real life experience with these gig/contract jobs.

I passed background check but connecting to the Stripe account has been an issue. I even talked to Stripe Customer support and they told me the issue is with Dispatchit. Problem is, every time I call their number, no one answers and even the voicemail is full. Do you know a phone number that I can reach somebody? I let them know the issue through email, but it’s almost been two weeks. They always respond back via email or text giving hope but they don’t want to give me a call, even though I requested for a phone call so many time. looks like Customer Service is overseas. Does anyone know a better phone number than the official one?
I applied for this back in May and was waitlisted. Few months later, still nothing. I reached out via email, letting them know I've been waiting for a very long time and that I'm very eager to start working with them plus I could work every day. I received an email that same day, allowing to finish my application. Been a driver for about a month now, and I have yet to get an order. I'm in the bay area. @@YourDriverMike I live in the tampa bay area of florida. Generally speaking all the gig apps are saturated due to summer slow down. Florida is extremely tourist dependent.
In my opinion the more rural you get the less orders you'll see and the further spaced apart they'll be, plus longer drives as that's just the nature of it. Still doable but I'd say food delivery is probably always going to be the best option. Use other apps as "filler apps" though
Hi Mike. Can a driver work for Dispatch outside of his or her domain, as in being domiciled in Orlando, Florida, but temporarily residing/working in Los Angeles, for example?

There are much better options for step van or box truck owners. 2 man teams run about 600-800 per day. Search indeed for (mostly) local companies
