Great video. From an old Columbia River salmon fisherman, you made a very informative video without lots of extra verbiage to make a longer video. This one is accurate and to the point, appreciate it.
New to Dipsy Divers Ross. To let the diver out if you are looking out the back of the boat and want the diver to go left do you move the weight to the right?
I’m setting my dipsy to 1,2,or3 to get it to veer out from the boat but it looks like it’s just staying straight back from the boat, even on a 3 setting. What am I doing wrong? I’m using braid. I don’t think I’m letting the line out too fast, I’m loosening the drag and it is slowly pulling out. I’m also keeping the rod low to the water and straight out the side of the boat.
It's not 100% necessary, but we do recommend them when trolling with wire or braid. That bit of extra stretch can help keep fish pinned and protect your leader when a big fish is hooked.

Do you recommend a snap/swivel at the lure end of the leader?
Yes. A snap or swivel can help improve the action of your lure and make changing baits easier
is a snubber needed ? seeing a few claiming they are crucial
