- Dipsy divers can be a pain in the A$$! Especially when it comes to netting a fish. The diver is at the tip of the rod people have to raise the tip of the rod way up and it is often chaotic.
Well now there is a way to remove the dipsy, have what ever lead you want behind it, and fight a fish without the dipsy on the line.
If you ever use downriggers, run dipsy's, and or fish for salmon and lake trout, than this video is a MUST WATCH for YOU!!

Your the best Kevin! 👍🏼
Thanks buddy!
I wish i could see more detail of your set up. I'd really like to try it out
Great method, i use it from time to time.
I fish solo a lot too and so I run slide divers a ton to get the same long lead.
I am very new to this. What is the purpose of running the two offshore clips rather than tying direclty to the first clip?
I just seen your link on questions about your dipsy set up
Where do you set the diver, in relation to where you see the fish on the graph?
Sweet
Works great!!
How do I get that dipsey down 80 feet for salmon
Would you use this with wire line?
How do you tie the loop on the main line.
always run a snubbber on the rear of the dipsey, otherwise a big King or Steelie can break you off!
Tried this last night and ran into a problem. Instead of using a loop like you show in the video for the front clip, I wrapped the line around the pad three times and sent it out. What I discovered with the two fish which hit, as well as when I tried to bring in the dipsy for a lure change, is that at least one of the looped lines works it’s way into that outer groove behind the pad where the sort of hinge is, basically locking the dipsy release arm in place so that it won’t release. When it gets into that groove or hinge, it’s a bear to get out. Have you experienced this or am I even explaining it so it’s understandable? The point is, like you show in your video, I think a small loop tied into the braid is the only remedy for this.
Look on you tube for No Fish Nick, he has 3 generations of this rig. Myself I used 40 lb braid mainline to a micro swivel, then 20 lb leader 50 ft to lure. Tied small loop of 30lb mono to each end of swivel to attach s hook version.
What is the proper name for the off shore clips with tooth
l cant find anything with the tooth
