  • In part 6 of our Porsche 924 turbo build, all the dents are pulled out and it gets into primer and nearly ready to paint. I picked up a stud welder gun and it works perfect!

Quick tip with tack rag open it up fluff it up will catch way more dust and you want to run lightly over it not so much elbow grease

Thanks. It looks like I was using a lot of force, but it was very lightly being brushed over the surface. Thanks for checking out the video!

Great episode, one of your of best, in fact. I enjoy watching “will it start” videos but it’s nice to see someone take a car beyond that point. Don’t quit making videos, you’re on to something good.
On another note, WEAR YOUR PPE!!! Gloves, masks, safety glasses and some disposable coveralls when you’re spraying primer or paint!

Hey Sean, that is a lot of work, probably why I don't do body work. That Porsche is going to look good when your done. I've never painted a car but can imagine that when your spraying it, doesn't the primer get all over everything? Your tools, the walls, etc? What will you do when it comes time to put color on the car? What your doing to this Porsche is exactly what I need to do to my 72 Mach 1 and Im learning a lot by watching you. Fortunately the car doesnt need very much body work, just the sanding and priming, sanding and priming, sanding and priming, etc, etc. Im already tired thinking about it. Keep up the good work and great videos. Very informative and helpful. Thanks, Nick

Thanks Nick! It does get everywhere, which is why I wet the floor down and use an HVLP gun. It sprays a lot of liquid under lower pressure, so it doesn’t have as much overspray.
I’m out of pocket every other week, but if you need some help sometime give me a ring.
      Sean

Don't use the Red one part putty...it's old tech it shrinks and cracks. Use some of the new polyester two part products much superior and sands very smooth.

Hey Sean, nice work on the Porsche! The finish coat should look great with all the hard work you are putting into it.
