INGREDIENTS NEEDED FOR: Hershey's Perfectly Chocolate Chocolate Cake
recipe: (I copied this recipe off the back of the Hershey's Natural Unsweetened container)
{FOR THE CAKE}
2 cups sugar
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup Hershey's Cocoa
1-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
{FOR THE ICING}
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
2/3 cup Hershey's Cocoa
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

I will agree with all. This recipe is always great, for cupcakes or cakes. Sometimes I use half boiling water and half black hot coffee. Yummy. Never a miss w this classic recipe!

great cake although I don't go by directions because i substitute butter for oil which needs to cream. I also use buttermilk and it comes out great
been using that recipe for over 40 years...tried and true

A good little tip is to put some simple syrup on the tops cake first, to help keep it moist plus as you ladies know, foundation first before makeup. Saw this on another video on Hershey's cake recipe and thought I'd pass it along. Did it myself and it frosted a lot better and has stayed moist well and also longer.

One thing I try to do is sift that cocoa powder as it tends to be lumpy. That strawberry top looks stunning Shereen. Great idea!

This is the only chocolate cake I make. It’s just exactly as you said delish and moist and pretty easy. My hubby’s favorite chocolate cake. But I make a delish harvest cake with cream cheese frosting my own recipe.
