Devonte, another superb presentation. My family home was just 2 blocks west of South Park Ave in Lackawanna very close to the Buffalo City Line. I attended Timon High School on McKinley and Columbus and had relatives whose residence was on McKinley at Woodside. You're correct. Urban planning in that area is "bar, church ,bar church, bar church, stop sign"!!
I've owned my house on Mt Vernon Ave for 20 years. South Buffalo is a hidden gem with many conveniences and Cazenovia Park is a gem. The proximity of Mercy Hospital is a blessing for many in the area. Being a bit remote from the rest of the city is something I've always considered as a plus. Nice job with the video as well as all of your other informative videos.
Spent years working at one of the pizzarias right by caz park, spent many a days and nights having a great time in that park and goofing around on seneca. Not as fun as it used to be but still a cool place to hang out
I was born in South Buffalo and now I live in crappy Niagara Falls. I love Elmwood Avenue in Allentown. I lived there for 12 years South Buffalo is beautiful and always wants and it always will be b boost South Buffalo. It’s good for you.
Thanks for the tour down memory lane! That walk down Abbott road is where I grew up. That 7-11 used to be a Wilson Farms where we would go to get our Freezee-Pops! Doc Sullivans used to be called "Smitty's" way back in the day. My parents met there back in the 60s. St Thomas Aquinas church and school is where we attended. Used to play street hockey in the parking lot at The Irish Center. I always drive down there and take a walk around the old neighborhood when we visit. Have to try that DA Taste! Seen it but never stopped in. Will def do so next time!
I'd take Elmwood any day of the week over South Buffalo.
well obviously, but compare prices
@@zekzo7015 good point.
