    Hey man, very nice deck! Have you thought about playing toxin analysis main deck? Deathtouch and lifelink can make good trades and it leaves an artifact behind to draw or dispute. Also its one mana less.

      @alanp.1402 hi, early on I was playing fear of lost teeth, footlight fiend and toxin analysis and it worked really well. Best case an opponent attacks into it you get two kill their attacker and best creature etc.
      I moved to fangs as although one big lifelink turn can be enough to win a race, the permanent counter is more impactful when it's good. I.e. losing a bit of flexibility for higher ceiling.
      I'll try going back and see how it goes

      @@Lovecrayons thank you for your reply. If you can, post more videos with those decks, they are very informative. Good luck on your matches.

    Hey man congratz for the trophy! I'm a fellow mono b sac enjoyer too and I really like your list, I've never thought about Reaping the Graves. I really would like to try it in a small tournament in my LGS tonight but unfortunately I can't find in paper anywhere near.
    Do you have some suggestions on how can I replace it or maybe do you think it's better playing another version without relying on recursion from the graveyard?

    • @Lovecrayons
      @Lovecrayons  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ziomifri hi, I think reaping is especially strong and the fact that it interacts so well against counterspells puts it above other graveyard recursion etc. I've tried to build to support rtg (I.e. more 1 drops and treasure creatures) due to this.
      I've not tried a similar version without reaping, but would probably try to be faster instead and more redundant (I.e. nested shambler over freebooters, more sacrifice pay off creatures) but I think it will play quite differently as you will lose some of the ability to grind opponents out

    amazing deck! I want to try it in my LGS. Just some questions, why not 4x gixian infiltrator? And also, what about a sideboard like this: 2 snuff out, 2 tragic slip, 4 weather, 4 nihil spellbomb, 3 board wipes like drown in sorrow or suffocating fumes?

    • @mastermorla00
      @mastermorla00 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I am also thinking about another idea.. against decks that play nihil spell bomb and graveyard hate, what about siding in 4x bone picker and take out 4x reaping the graves to go full aggro? I've seen strong lists without reaping that play bone picker and go fast af

      @mastermorla00 thanks for watching!
      I've not tried bone picker yet, I've tried to stay fixed on the main 'plan' and would worry the 3/2 flyer is too slow of a clock on its own and may not contribute as much?
      Infiltrator is great once the deck is going, but drawing two without a payoff is very clunky for 4 mana. You draw quite a lot of cards and can recurr one if it is killed so have been relatively happy with 3. Playing more will give more good aggro draws but may risk more clunky hands so give it a go and let me know!
      I really like the rotten reunions as they do everything you want as well as graveyard hate. The body works with sacrifice synergy so well and gives you more fodder if you board out creatures to make room, and it's one or two instant bodies that the opponent may not expect in response to bolt/Galvanic Blast etc.
      I agree that it would be great to have an effect to punch through lots of small blockers which may be a sweeper? Deaths head buzzard is a creature so synergises well. I've looked at whispersilk cloak which is very slow but allows you to igbore/protect a threat, and may try duskshell crawler as a way to give trample.

      @@Lovecrayons Thank you very much for the answer. I've just finished watching all the video and I agree with you about bone picker and rotten reunion.
      I think deaths head buzzard is too slow because of its mana cost, but it needs to be tested. Whispersilk cloak it's a nice card. I saw you tried it some time ago in a league as a 1x in the side. Was it good?
      Anyway, for what I've seen the deck suffers affinity and mono red, so maybe upping weather to 4 copies and take out 1 expected fang could be an idea. Sometimes weather is sooo much better than the fangs.
      Duskshell crawler is very strong and I thought about it too. Giving trample would be strong and these days I thought about something like rancor but it's not good enough. Duskshell is soooo strong and maybe you can put it in taking out reaping if opponents play a lot of graveyard hate. Unfortunately we don't have a way to destroy artifacts like relics and bombs.
      To go back to the bad matchups, maybe against mono red with 4 weather, 1 fang it's better than the 3/2 version. You take out the snuff outs and something else. I was thinking about suffocating fumes because when they kuldotha bushwhacker you swipe the board.
      Against affinity I don't really know what to do. Maybe bring in 2 snuff outs , 1 fang and 3 mesmeric, I don't know. It's a bad matchup but it's winnable. If you see that they play a lot of graveyard hate you can take out reaping in g3.
      In conclusion, I am trying to brew it for my local that is very competitive, here in Italy a guy won a tournament of 32 people with mono black sac but he didn't play reaping. I think your list is stronger. I'll link his list here: mtgdecks.net/Pauper/mono-black-sacrifice-decklist-by-giovanni-favetta-2318338
      I am thinking about 3 snuff outs main and 1 side, taking out 1 card but I don't know. Maybe a land, maybe a fang, or a nezumi.
      Have a nice day man and thank you.

      @mastermorla00 cloak was as good as you may expect for a card that requires you be kind of ahead to be good and then spend 5 mana so you pretty much should be winning anyways. It is hard to tell when you would fail to convert those games to see if it was a benefit or not? It still doesn't protect from krark /tox which is why I've moved on but the weakness still exists.
      I agree with your suggestions for Sideboard but think with about 6 slots of graveyard hate (fangs and weathers) and the increased number of 1/1s that make another 1/1 when they die the red match up is not awful.
      I think the deck is powerful enough to be good in a competitive setting especially against the right match ups (blue decks, broodscale etc.) But lacks the consistency of the tier 1/tier 1.5 decks.
      Hope it goes well!

    • @mastermorla00
      @mastermorla00 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Lovecrayons Yeah i agree it's a competitive deck for sure but not tier 1 (for now) but it could become a tier 1.5.
      I thought about cards in the sideboard like hallow (against board wipes like breath weapon) or, even better dispel, maybe in 3 copies. What do you think? it also stops krark and toxin and it's easy to cast with treasures.

    What do you think of the Temdrils of despair card for this sacrifice strategy and does it serve as another sacrifice engine?

    • @Lovecrayons
      @Lovecrayons  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @Chernobyl01exe my take is that I don't want it in this build. Currently you want to hit a certain distribution of resources (fodder, outlet, payoff) and potentially draw Spells to make that work. Playing cards that 'equally' disrupt both players risks helping the less synergistic decks over this build. I.e. mono red, faeries, broodscale etc. All probably mulligan better than mono black?
      I would be interested in a deck that goes all in on tendrils/mindswords if you can accelerate out a creature/emblem to win the game with. I've not tried that myself but the cards required are all quite old so it doesn't seem it should work.
