This archetype is honestly one of my favorite things. Sure, Extraction effects are only good against combo decks... but if you have enough of them, any deck is a combo deck. It's also deliciously salty, because your opponent ends up losing to a deck that conventional wisdom says is completely terrible.
It's one of those weird things about Magic, like how Lantern works despite consisting primarily of objectively terrible cards, or how threatening a combo can be stronger than actually executing it (see Temur Twin for a good example of this).

I don't think it's possible to surpass this video; you've won the game of Magic the Gathering.

I know Jace isn't supposed to be our finisher but I am so happy he is such an effective finisher especially sine most people never thought he would be that good when he came out.

I don't remember the exact video, but i do recall it was a Burn player who would just fire off Lightning Bolts main phase because playing at instant-speed was "pretentious".

This reminds me of an Ice Age-era deck built around Orcish Spy and Millstone, ensuring that they drew all or no land

Hi Seth, it was me who sent you the "ten extractions" deck list. I must admit that your list is more interesting!

Brings back memories, I actually had a flicker deck in return to ravnica standard and would just cast slaughter games over and over with archaeomancer just for the cruel laughs..

@ 36:00 roughly, after casting stone brain and exiling virtues, you should have casted path of peril for 3 mana, bouncing kotose back to your own hand with the hullbreaker trigger, it would have killed the prankster, then you casted sheoldred's edict to get rid of sheoldred, then the following turn you'd be able to get the rest of your opponent's etalis with the kotose.

Deadly cover-up can exile basic lands in somebody’s deck too. so against mono color decks it’s particularly fun.

This theme gives me major Jester's Cap vibes, only on steroids lol. The Cap only let you exile 3 cards from your opponent's deck. This is on a whole other level 🤣
Edit: That reanimator deck he faced off against that had Atraxias in it ALSO had a Jin-Gitaxias in the GY at time index 30:37 which to me seemed to be the biggest threat since it auto-counters the first Artifact, Instant, or Sorcery spell your opponents cast and lets your copy spells of the same type, which can be used to make infinite combos quite easily. I'd have removed that one ASAP before the others 🤔

A note since ranks just reset. Maybe don't play this in lower ranks. A side effect of big standard is a very wild gold and platinum metas with lots of brews, which is great, but like.
This deck is much less effective when you miss with your first cranial extraction effect.
You'll see decks using meta shells to play pet cards or just obscure combos.
It isn't to say that you can't win a match when this happens, but that's the biggest difference I can tell with the deck. If you hit I think your odds to win must come close to doubling.
Even diamond can be a little wild and that can add this weird chance to miss, like atraxaless domain or rakdos whatever and green.
Green especially makes this deck look really good or really bad since it's not actually the best deck at killing creatures since it doesn't actually draw cards very well. I feel like deduct is straining to smooth it out.
I love this list, can't wait to play it more later, lol.
