Hi we have the same laptop i9 4070 variant, how are the cpu temps of your ph16 when playing games? I have high temps when playing valorant 88-95c, even only in BIOS the temp is 75c.
@@circafreya7626 hello, for me, the max cpu temp I ever noticed was 94*. I think i9 is a very power driven cpu causing the temps to be this high. I also researched and it is not a problem as far as the temps keep fluctuating especially under heavy tasks. Btw what's ur battery life?? Like normal usage lowest brightness, rgd totally off eco mode. Mine only lasts 2.1-2.5 hours 💀

Strange results... If the laptop is a new one, then the some factory defect may be the issue, either the time has come to cleanse the cooling system from dust and check the termointerface.
It’s completely normal for the Acer Predator Helios 16 to hit upwards of 100 Celsius because the CPU when blowing can draw as much as 157 to 175 watts during benchmarks, shader compilation, and even gaming it can easily hit 100 watts or higher and the Intel CPUs are designed with a 100 Celsius thermal limit. We’ve got the Acer Predator Helios 16 with Rtx 4070 and i7-13700HX and the while using Turbo mode the CPU temps can definitely get super high but that’s because the HX processors are actually desktop chips and they’re designed to safely hit 100 Celsius. Some games the CPU averages around 80 to 85 Celsius while other games can average slightly lower or even higher at times. The GPU never really gets about 75 Celsius max even when highly overclocked. I wouldn’t worry at all as the Acer Predator Helios 16 is an extremely well designed system that’s got extreme Performance, snd with that power comes high temps as it is what it is, The HX Intel Laptop CPUs are designed to boost as high as possible for Maximum performance and then it or when they hit 100 they’ll throttle back to keep core temps in check.
If you’re gaming with modern triple a intensive titles I’d recommend using it plugged in 24/7 on Turbo mode to get the most out of it cause this is a high performance machine designed for high performance applications. It’s a good idea to Use Acer care to limit battery charging to 80% while plugged in 24/7 !
What was the gpu temperature when you were playing a game? And does this thing have a feature somewhere that limits battery charge level to around 80% to preserve battery life and that feature where the screen automatically changes to 60hz if the charger is unplugged?
