To answer your question on the Ulcerated Noodle Boys: The strongest ones are actually post-Maliketh in the Capital of Ash. In an open area near the lift that takes you to that Golem for the Dew Talisman and a portal to the Isolated Tower (Malenia's), there are THREE whole boyos with the highest dmg and HP pool (18k) of the game, protecting the Erdtree Favor +2 talisman. And no, none of them drops anything unlike all the others. Even the one in Lake of Rot, under the grace near the stairs, drops a Golden Seed, despite the area being the worst one to fight one in, next to the Haligtree one.
here's a thought---wouldn't it be beneficial to discover higher level area for invasion as there'll probably be higher level phantoms carrying hosts through these areas?
Hi Chase. Great staff as always. If I may I think you forgot to pick up a wizard spell at mountain tops when you fought the fire Prelate. Also at the end with Patches if you attack him and he becomes hostile you can unlock one more gesture :)
+18 weapons might be a good call. Most people jump right to +18 after getting the smithing stone bell bearing (3) at the mountaintops. It would bring the bottom end of your invasion range up for more runes, as well as giving you better damage output 👍
Now that you’ve got the Marais Executioner’s Sword, I humbly suggest getting Millicent’s Prosthesis next. Last time I checked, the weapon art on the MES registers as multiple hits, so it procs the prosthesis’s damage buff, making numbers bigger. It’s a fun combo to try out if you have the talisman space.
You can only get either rotten wing sword insig or millicents prosthesis on a single run… since he’s strength arcane, he doesn’t need millicents prosthesis first, he’d be better off with rotten winged sword insignia
Ok, Rykard actually made me think of the dlc: No one will hold me captive, a SERPENT never dies... man, I can't wait. I wonder if we meet Patches again, on his way to "serve" a different serpent

I like hearing your opinion on the hard swapping debate. Obviously you're the poster child for hard swapping. So I would assume that you were for it. Side note watching you is the reason I practice hard swapping I'm terrible at it, I always start tripping over my fingers in a real invasion.
Fromsoft took the time to lock you out of crafting when in combat, but did not for your weapon inventory. They did that for a reason and the fact that multiple souls games require changing your weapon in a boss fight (yhorm from ds3 and rykard in elden ring) tells us they intend it. If you dont enjoy it thats fine but it is in no way cheating lol
@ChaseTheBro you can use things with no encumbrance. Sorry but this priorities your logic. But as it is hardswapping is 100 mandatory for high level pvp
Interesting. I don't find Chase's reasoning compelling at all but I agree with his conclusion. It's tech, like wave dashing in Smash. Clearly not something that's meant to be part of the core experience in my opinion. But certainly not cheating.
I can confirm that WrongWarping to Faram Azula doesn't affect any quests; but killing Malekith does (since it sets the Capital of Ash state, and moves Gideon to the capital). Might be interesting to find out what happens when you take the Frenzied flame (thus alienating Melina), and then cure it with your Plasidusax arena access, all before committing the sin. (not a softlock, since I'd assume you'd still have graces in FA.)
Hey Chase, you might want to invest in a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) so none of your PC and such get fried. Also, amazing content as usual! My favorite to watch. Edit: hey also, not sure if you've considered this but I'm my head it sounded really awesome: after your playground, it'd be great to see just a cut of every invasion from start to finish!
At least from what I've tested and read, THAT ONE Rykard attack is impossible to dodge, jump or run away from. The hitbox lasts longer than any i-frames and the tracking, lenght and cone of dispersion is crazy. Even standing behind his head will hit you. That one is his "Fuck U" move. I died like 50 times to that move in my RL1 run.
i always found it best to block it, either with a fire-infused shield or even the two-handed shunter. you'll take a bit of chip damage, but it's better than taking it to the face
I think you should just level up your weapons a bunch with your PVE runes. It'll push you to at least having higher average invasions, and might push you into a point where you're getting more folks at really high levels.
Just to put it out there Chase, I don't know myself, but I would be wary of essentially putting the world in a bugged state for going into the DLC... Personally, I won't be burning the Erdtree for my first DLC run because I want Melina alive and on our side just in case she has a story in the DLC. That keeps me from having the bell bearing and Alex's shard and some other things, but I am fine with those losses of power. For this reason, I am also leaving Malenia and Millicent alive... just in case we can get some happier or different endings/interactions for them. So again, I don't know if glitch warping to Azula will break anything, so if you still go through with it, I will be very interested in if it does break things for you. If it doesn't, I may have to do that in my own subsequent playthroughs.
I think it might even have new weapon types like great katanas, hand-to-hand, beast claws, dueling shields, light greatswords, throwable weapons, perfume bottles, and reverse grip swords! Just a guess though.
Try to always get at least 1 level per invasion session so u can keep up with the place u are and also not end under leveled at the end of the game. Even if takes long it increases the chances of finding some naked max level again
You know I always wanted to play elden ring but never got around to it. It would be my first souls like game I’ve ever played and the urge grows ever stronger to play it. Yet if I ever somehow invade Chase though…. I’m cooked😔

I was thinking about that when this happened lol
Chase when you get an item drop that lands so you can't pick it up do a quit out. Don't miss any more dumplings they're too tasty!
PATCHES GOES BACK TO HIS CAVE????
That explains why he doesn't leave his bell after "dying" in Shaded Castle.
Nice video as always, cheers
39:25 Dishonest snake! D:<
42:25. DISHONEST SNAKE WIZARD!!! DX
St. Trina's Torch is perfect for Flames of Slumber
Good thing you use Dragon Halberd or I would have forgotten to go back for that boss.
The DLC will probably have a talisman that will increase the damage of "storm" AoWs!
Jesuschrist I hope not, Storm blade and storm assault are stoopid as they are
Foresight or Insight... Hmmmmmm 😂
And a talisman that powers up stance aows, like transient moonlight lol
@@bbQsauce992 it couldn't be 🤣
I think it might even have new weapon types like great katanas, hand-to-hand, beast claws, dueling shields, light greatswords, throwable weapons, perfume bottles, and reverse grip swords! Just a guess though.
Try to always get at least 1 level per invasion session so u can keep up with the place u are and also not end under leveled at the end of the game. Even if takes long it increases the chances of finding some naked max level again
13:02 these guys. Oh man booty warriors.
You know I always wanted to play elden ring but never got around to it. It would be my first souls like game I’ve ever played and the urge grows ever stronger to play it. BUT IM BROKEEEEE 😭 I’ve always enjoyed watching others play games I’m interested in though so watching my skilled gamers play it is still as enjoyable even if I have yet to touch the game myself…. Yet if I ever somehow invade Chase though…. I’m cooked😔
