Hagrid's Motorbike will be your favorite ride if you can wait the long wait. IT IS EVERYONE'S FAVORITE RIDE. Motorbike ride is love, motor bike ride is life.
Okay, full confession time, as much as I admire and respect this ride, it's pretty much the same with me as Tower of Terror is for Spazzmaster. Meaning, it terrified the shit out of me in a way that not many theme park attractions do anymore. I can't ride it more than one time each visit.

Which part of the Harry Potter theme came from Hook?
+jedidarrick - There was a (probably apocryphal) story that John Williams signed on to do the Potter score when he thought Spielberg would direct, but when Spielberg didn't get the job, he just repurposed some music he had tried out for Hook, which hadn't made it into that film's score.
I don't think the story's 100% true, but that's what I was referencing.
to be honest, my favorite dark ride still is Indiana jones. yes I have done the Harry Potter ride but indy still wins for me. Why? Because I am slightly arachnophobic. I say slightly because yes i'll squish the stupid tiny ones, and tarantulas etc. don't bother me when looking at most of them, but what I don't like are their faces. this makes fantasy a hard genre for me to get into due to its giant spider fetish. and that's why I choose indy over forbidden journey. that one scene ruined the whole ride for me to the point where I wasn't willing to hop in line again opting instead for dragon challenge while my dad and brother did went on HP again. thanks forbidden forest. to add insult to injury that's where your ride photo is taken so my picture was of me having a panic attack at the sight of a giant spider, and smaller ones dangling down to eat my face.
Now that I live in California and get to ride both Indy and Potter whenever I want, I realize Potter's not actually BETTER than Indy. They're either tied for my favorite or Potter's a very close second, depending on my mood.
i wish i could ride themed dark rides. the closest we have in washington are simulators and the silly, wheel-around haunted house rides. we have only one "theme" park that only counts because there is a western/forest area and a generic area but most guests can tell them apart, hardly any good coasters, and only one big budget thrill ride thats basically just Soarin with a few dips.

If we're just talking ticket sales, Disney NEVER stopped beating Universal. Potter changed the conversation, but it still didn't quite bring IOA up to Magic Kingdom's ticket sales.
But yeah, when I made this video the only big thing Disney had on the horizon was Pandora, and while that had the potential to outdo Potter aesthetically, it wasn't going to outdo it in popularity or impact. Galaxy's Edge has a true shot at out-doing Potter in EVERY area!
Except flavor. I will be very surprised if Blue Milk tastes better than Butterbeer.

+chipperviews - Sorry to say I don't live in Florida anymore (but happy to say I live in California now). I do intend on revisiting Florida and reviewing Diagon Alley someday, but I don't know when it'll happen.
