There’s actually 3 different Mel’s restaurants. There’s the original Mel’s diner, Mel’s diner, and Mel’s Dive in. The original Mel’s is a sit down diner, like a Dennys or an ihop, Mel’s diner is more old timey themed with jukeboxes, and Mel’s dive in is just a fast service like a sonic, which has lower quality food. The one he went to the in park is the dive in.

They just renovated Mel's, not just the front, but the kitchen as well (brand new equipment, from what I've heard). So, that's probably why your food was way better than what the review stated.

Yeah the mel’s burger used to have a ridiculous amount of flour on the top bun, turned your mouth into a desert.

Oh. I'm totally here for this! I've been wondering about good ol' Mel's since it's reopened with the new menu. I'm a local but haven't been able to get down there to try it for myself. Keep 'em comin', Tyler!

They just renovated Mel's, not just the front, but the kitchen as well (brand new equipment, from what I've heard). So, that's probably why your food was way better than what the review stated.
