    I have a 2005 Honda Accord. I removed the two crews from the bottom that go directly into the plastic body. I also removed the bottom right screw that passes first through the bracket and then the other similar screw that is to the left. With that, I was able to rotate the bracket to clockwise and remove the actuator. By doing this, I didn't have to take out the top screw, which is the most difficult to remove. The installation is done i reverse order. Hope that helps. One comment about the video: I believe it's very helpful, especially because of the limited space. Great job, and my best regards and thanks to the author.

      @@stripecatflippangitnamecha8721 Yes looks like it was. Either the actuator, knob switches or the wiring/connectors were faulty. I was able to get it to work by turning the dual temp knob of both driver/passenger side a few times and jarring the actuator w/out removing it, tighten wiring connectors and somehow I got it to work. Both the vents now have cool air. Presently I don't dare touch the dual climate control knob of the passenger side ever since and just kept it on sync to avoid a relapse.

Took it to the dealer who wanted to replace supply lines and possibly compressor for over $1,000. I declined to investigate more. Found this video after googling about the problem and people mentioning the blend door actuator. The noises were coming from the actuator. After watching this video I was able to remove the actuator (I had to also remove a metal bracket that was preventing me from removing the top screw on the actuator). Since you say one side is cold then I would believe its the same issue as In the video. You would need special equipment to check freon. Ooooo that's problem 😕. If you have the parts you can try to glue them together. Beside that you have to remove the dash and remove that box

      Im sure their is but i do not know which one. Might be linked to the AC fuse. Or climate control.

    Is it just the exact opposite if it's only blowing hot air on the passenger side?

    • @AJIMPORTS
      @AJIMPORTS  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most likely. You can do the same test I did. Remove the solenoid on the passenger side and move the arms. If it works you know the solenoid is bad. It's a few test and takes about 15 minutes to do.

    Question: If the actuator is bad, wouldn't that also affect the air flow from the drivers heater vents as well?

    • @AJIMPORTS
      @AJIMPORTS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The actuator was bad. It was not allowing any ac to flow on the driver side. The car has dual zone so that's why I only saw the issue on the driver side. If it was a single zone then both the driver and passenger side would not change from hot to cold.
