God bless you!! This thing has been a pain in my ass for a year now! Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It's been stuck on doesn't for the past 4 months and I kept running into the same things you did. So I just want to thank you for your help!
Men that’s the best video I ever seen making o good and clear explanations about it !!!!! In my case I believe is the one together with your, my air is coming out cold in two vents and warm in the other two. Many thanks for that!!
Thanks for posting this snippet. I have scoured for this information and yes, almost all videos or info is pointed to the blend actuator. Not good info on the mode actuator, so really appreciate your simple video.

Informative video, thank you for this saves me the trouble of searching anymore. However do you know the actual part name or part number to order said part? Does it indicate in your manual?
Thank you so much for the video and information. It gave me enough information to poke around and figure out what was going on with my vehicle. I have a 2010 honda odyssey EX. I found that unlike your model year, my main vent actuator is located directly behind the glove box. It was easy to pull out, clean and reconnect. Works without an issue right now. Just wanted to share that point. Thanks again!
Thank U for the detail info/diagram. I sprayed WD40 on all the moving parts (hidden ones too) then follow with lithium grease. Had to wiggle the white wheel a bit while the wife kept changing modes. It's now working fine. Will wait until cold morning and see.
One thing to note for you if you ever have to replace it. There are actually two arms behind that motor, and getting each arm back in the correct track was difficult. I kind of held up the smaller lever with my thumb while having pre-replaced the longer arm, then gently pushed until it all seated in place. All the best to you.
This isn’t exactly my issue, but I have a 2014 CRV. The front defroster button won’t turn off when I press it. Anybody ever encountered anything like this?
I honestly thought this was going to be a video on all the mineral build up around a leaking connection that jammed something in your car and you used EDTA and ultrasonic to knock it loose. hahaha

I didn't know about the other actuator and never considered simply cleaning the inside. Thanks

You were able to do this without actually disabling the motor?

Wow. It helped someone. Lol. I have to fix the vent motor now. I need to get around to fix it.
Just knowing where it is helped. I banged mine with a screwdriver handle and it started working again.
