After Arthur got his diagnosis and walked around aimlessly in the city, it became increasingly more difficult for me to play through the whole game, just by seeing Athur suffer, seeing the gang break apart, seeing Dutch become more and more insane and seeing Arthur struggle to make peace with himself and others he betrayed, before the end. Wow! I can tell that you've captured the experiences of the Old West, especially tuberculosis and cholera perfectly (although I have to admit that making quick kills of wild animals does not cause a drop in honor [except parakeets], while wounding an animal and making it suffer does). Also, you made a mention of Eirik Gumeny's personal experiences of having a terminal disease and sharing them with Arthur Morgan's (especially with Javier Escuella telling him, "You just worry about that cough", and Dr. Barnes telling Arthur to find somewhere warm and dry and rest). Nice. You also mentioned that those with TB could spend their final moments in isolation, just like Arthur does if he has high honor in either ending (go with John Marston or go for the loot). So heartbreaking. And I should like to inform you that despite being on its last legs, the town of Armadillo would eventually survive to be a thriving town in RDR1. Also, you mentioned Dorothea Wicklow. She was the subject of what happened in November 2018 when Shirrako's TH-cam channel was temporarily suspended for posting a video of the protagonist killing Wicklow in different ways... but let's not go there. Anyways, that was pretty accurate. Nice vid.

This is literally the best TH-cam video I've seen in a long time. What an amazing game beautifully illustrated by amazing content, liked & subbed. Keep it up 🙌
I love this game but there are a few historical inaccuracies that I've noticed. The one I remember most is that you will frequently come across pallets at shipping ports and the same odd locations (hobo camps) where you'd probably come across pallets today. The problem is, pallets didn't come into existence until later. Pallets are designed to be used with forklifts and pallet jacks, neither of which had been invented at the time of the game. If you look closely, you can even see the cutaway slots where the forks are supposed to go.
The Wanted pop up reads “Animal Cruelty”. Happened to me for the first time ever when I accidentally ran over a cat on the outskirts of Strawberry. It was dark and I thought it was a rabbit until I picked it up and of course someone saw and reported it.
The only reason that the Animal Cruelty charge is in the game because people would become crybabies if you didn’t get a wanted level for beating up animals.
This was a very well put together video. Lots of details and comparisons to actual real life people and events. Well done. Just wish we could have covered the sub in pond at Saint Denise.

I think the family fued is based on Hatfield-McCoy family feud, which was bloody and also... two lovers (one each from the families) ran off with the money, away from the mess (almost similar to the RDR2 story)
Really good video my dude. Going through my second play through of the RDR2 and I'm taking my time and enjoying it as much as possible. Amazing how much I missed the first time around. About the industrial age there is a forest at the beggining that over the course of the game gets chopped down until in the epilogue it's a huge clearing that is completely empty except for stumps and I found this playing ad john at the end hunting a deer for miles and the sight of it actually made me stop and made me feel genuine sadness and I let the deer go
Ethnicity wise a lot of areas are pretty accurate although New Austin could have had more black people to reflect the many African American cowboys and homesteaders that went west and populated towns. Although that there’s black people and Mexican people at all in New Austin and West Elizabeth urban areas is a nice nod reflecting the actual populations of areas out west. West Elizabeth is a bit anachronistic though as its region is based on areas more northwards where Mexicans were present but not as populated like the more west and southwest former Mexican states.
Because they can treat it and understand it. Cholera was same, they simply didn't know that they were getting it from the water supply. When it was discovered how people got it, water systems and sewers were redesigned for such.
I'm not sure if it's in the video since I'm commenting before hand but I'll be shocked if you missed how the Carcano isn't accurate whatsoever. The Carcano we see in game is the 1938 model, and this has been a issue since the previous game as well, weirdly enough. Edit: This is a pretty excellent video, I don't think I knew that the gang was loosely based on a irl one either. Pretty cool overlaps you show as well.
The wapiti indians are also part of the lakota nation, whenever rains fall speak his native language the subtitles say "in Lakota" before the translation.
They need to make a historically accurate mob game based on the 5 families in new york. They could have an option to fly out to vegas to do work there.. chicago.. jersey all of it. Open world mob america game would be dope. Have a chapter where you visit italy. The whole 9 yards. And theres so much history they could make 5 or 6 games out of it. From the 80s on back to the early 1900s late 1800s even.
Awesome work here! Good job on all of the research you did. This is spot on info! One little thing, I think the idea of the two families feuding in RD2 was taken from the movie “Fist Full of Dollars”. In the Game it’s the “Grays and Braithwaites” In Fistful of Dollars it’s the “Rojos vs Baxters”. It seems linked too being that Clint Eastwood plays both families just like how Arthur does in the game. Also Grays (color gray), Rojos (the color red)...Lots of little connections. Just my 2 cents.
Rockstar loves using cinema as inspiration, so it certainly wouldn’t shock me if they used that as inspiration. The fact that the Grays and Braithwaites, as well as the Jones’ and Liddells, all had opposing plantation homes, however, makes me think that there are certainly more inspirations than just the one.

Rockstar is known for its love of cinema, so it wouldn’t shock me if the game had elements of Craven’s work.
Thanks for the support! Appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment.
Stumbled across this channel by chance, and I'm glad I did. These are very well made videos on a rather unexplored subject manner and I absolutely love it. Consider me subbed.
Wow, you really did a good job, the video was really interresting. Would love to see one on RDR1.
The sound editing, fact telling and all things considered...THIS VIDEO IS AMAZING. Keep it up buddy!
Stumbled upon the LA Noire vid and immediately watched everything else. Keep it up
This channel is incredibly underrated, well done and thank you for your hard work on this and all the other videos (I haven't got through them all yet but rest assured I will) you deserve props man
Great video--thank you for doing this, I enjoy the historical comparisons!
Bro literally watched all of your rdr2 videos and I gotta say you are severely underrated and the time you would spend to make these we appreciate it
I don't usually comment on videos but man... well done! Excellent video, don't stop making them.
Thanks so much! I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. 😊
This is literally the best TH-cam video I've seen in a long time. What an amazing game beautifully illustrated by amazing content, liked & subbed. Keep it up 🙌
That’s such a huge compliment, thanks so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. 😊
Thank you for doing this video. Your research and time spent are valuable.
Micah Bells wildman personality was based off of Harvey "Kid Curry" Logan, who was known to shoot at lawmen and people "just to see the gunsmoke"
Subbed, love watching your videos on a rainy day
I love this game but there are a few historical inaccuracies that I've noticed.
If you look closely, you can even see the cutaway slots where the forks are supposed to go.
yikes that one hurts
btw any other inaccuracies can you elaborate on?
What about the event that inspired the Blackwater Massacre?
@TES Enthusiast If I remember correctly, it was called The Shooting Of O.K. corral.
Erik Allen the shoot out at o.k. corral wasn’t even a robbery
That would be coffeyville or Northfield raids
Just a thought but perhaps the police aren't after you for animal cruelty, they're after you for damaging others property
@@A_Stranger2256 Since when did you drag them into this? They have nothing to do with Rockstar or their games.
That’s basically the devs saying
“You don’t hurt innocent pets”
Anybody who hurts an animal.....
That’s a well-made, informative video. Thank you!
This was a very well put together video. Lots of details and comparisons to actual real life people and events. Well done.
Just wish we could have covered the sub in pond at Saint Denise.
I rarely comment on videos, but this one was really well put together and made me learn something about the old west. Gotta give it to you! You've earned my sub and like
I love this. If they do make a Red Dead 3 in an earlier timeline, you gotta wonder what historical events they will use.
Probs you play as Dutch or Arthur’s farther?
We really should let Red dead redemption sleep for a while. We got Red dead revolver, Red dead 1 and 2. That's a great trilogy. If Rockstar makes another western style game I hope they do it with a completely different character set from Red dead Redemptions time line.
@@clydebarrow4439 Uhhh, it isn't really a trilogy since Red Dead Revolver is in a different Universe.
@@godofwar234regi5 actually red Harlow exists in red dead redemption 1 and 2 just red dead revolver is sorta a story being told
I hope they do the 1920’s
Yeah, you definitely earned my sub! Amazing video! Im addicted to The RDR Series lol
I think the family fued is based on Hatfield-McCoy family feud, which was bloody and also... two lovers (one each from the families) ran off with the money, away from the mess (almost similar to the RDR2 story)
Humanity came a long way but we still have a long way to go.
Domašna Samoilova you only think that because information and reporting has gotten better, humans were always like this, but we are getting better.
Domašna Samoilova Ok edge lord.
I found the progressive
Yes, there still exists white straight males...and Christians!
The United States Of America He has a point 💁🏻♂️
Really good video my dude. Going through my second play through of the RDR2 and I'm taking my time and enjoying it as much as possible. Amazing how much I missed the first time around. Your added context of the historical accuracy helps me appreciate this world that Rockstar built a lot more. By far, one of my favorite games of this last generation.
Most of the gang don't really make fun of Arthur (aside from Micah of course), but they are definately less caring.
I feel like Charles was the one who cared the most he comforted Arthur at the end of chapter 5 and through chapter 6
@@lxckcxck4423 Charles and sean was my favourite in the camp
@@lxckcxck4423 marry Beth cared about aurthur
@@lxckcxck4423 yeah he even burried aurthur and miss brimshaw
EXCELLENT job on this. I love the narration; you stay out of the way of the information in the true documentary style. Subbed.
Very well thought out video.
Good video bro this is exactly what i was looking for.
In other words, Rockstar heads and shoulders above the rest of the gaming world. Epic game!
Mad effort put into this. I'll be watching you as you grow. You've earned my sub and respect.
Holy hell man, you've earned a subscriber for sure. Better content than most.
This video is wonderful, entertaining and informative. You could not have done a better job.
This the most underrated channel i have ever seen
This is a great video. Produced fantastically.
Everybody is gangsta until American Venom start playing.
dude, ive been binging all of your videos, every single one of them is a fucking masterpiece, how to you achieve such a consistently high level of quality in your videos, i dont know, but please keep it up!
I love your videos. Thanks
Carolina parakeet breaks my heart....
Clicked on this video instantly. Great analysis, subbed.
God you deserve more subs, this is so engaging and informational.
The bloody benders were new to me, interesting...
This is amazing, you studied pretty fucking hard on all of this. Please make a part 2.
these videos are amazing, keep em coming!
also this might be a stretch, but a video on manhunt, (another Rockstar game) and comparison to real crimes of that nature, would be really interesting
Yeah I forgot I watched the other videos i found this while searching for some Red Dead Redemption 2 content.
Amazing video with superb quality and editing! Keep it up!
The positive side at least the tuberculosis is a rare disease present
Very well done and researched! Subbed :)
The wapiti indians are also part of the lakota nation, whenever rains fall speak his native language the subtitles say "in Lakota" before the translation.
wow. its incredible how rockstar captured all of this in only one game world, just fucking awesome
Well, time to play the whole game again
bro u put so much effort on this video, u deserved a million subs
It’s just a fact; Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece
💯❤️🇺🇸👏🔥
Once again, a spectacular video. Thank you for uploading this.
This makes me wanna play through the story mode again for the 4th time ^_^ so Amazing!!!
One of the best video's i saw this month i wish you lot's of success ❤️❤️❤️
History is interesting af
Awesome work here! Good job on all of the research you did. This is spot on info!
One little thing, I think the idea of the two families feuding in RD2 was taken from the movie “Fist Full of Dollars”.
In the Game it’s the “Grays and Braithwaites”
In Fistful of Dollars it’s the “Rojos vs Baxters”.
