      Yes and he also do not talk like a lunatic, his words make sense, and are deeper than some of what was commonly known and thaught about.
      Like when says if you only love those who love you what is there special in it ?
      Today, we are used to hear his teachings but back then it would have been like a light a new light shinning for these people.
      Plus, let be honest even if we have known these for a long time we still act " normal " by loving those who love us and hate those who hate us.
      In practice, his teachings are still way ahead of our maturity as humans.
      Quite a bit farfetched to say that a lunatic teachings would be so still 2000 years after.

      Why would someone who hate Christ and Christians so much not your common militant atheist, but to the point of Killing them, would invent that Jesus appeard to him in a vision and then why would he go on to spread ( like no one before him) the very thing he tried to eradicate ?
      Did Jesus made him say that to ? If was just a mere man ?

    We need more videos/articles like these using logic to reinforce the teachings. Instead of telling people “just have faith” or “ignore those thoughts” addressing the doubts and anxieties using logic is far more effective and calming than being told to ignore it. I feel many people have become atheists because their questions weren’t properly addressed and they eventually lost faith. Science doesn’t contradict religion and not every single word and statement in the Bible is meant to be taken at face value. Once people understand those two facts and then are taught the logical explanations their faith will remain strong.

In Revelation 18:4 the LORD himself calls for his people to come out of her so as to not receive the plagues. For people who say that having a dream about Jesus or God is "just a dream" I have something to say (a lot actually) this "dream" is normally a vision not a "dream" it's a spiritual vision that people can feel someone's existence, hard to explain because I haven't experienced it, my mom did when she passed out once, she was about to die and said she saw a tunnel, she even forgot who she was, but she was calling for God anyway because that's the only thing she knew was right, and then she woke up, that was before she searched up what was an NDE (Near-death experience) and I believe her, I know it's only after I saw the same thing happening to other people, but I didn't doubt her before, my mom is very truthful, she doesn't lie about stuff like this, and even other people had the same exact thing or a little different happen to them, people doubt and say it's a coincidence, but I just think It's them wanting to doubt God's existence and not really paying attention to the truth. If you don't believe in God or what he says, give it a try, if you don't want to, it's your choice!

      "why can't he be a madman AND a great moral teacher?" Because his teaching involved you worshipping him as god.

    • @ducklett-in-a-helmet
      @ducklett-in-a-helmet ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mean, I watched the video too, so I understand the argument he's trying to make. The liar option and great moral teacher probably would be mutually exclusive, but if he's just crazy, then his statements describing the nature of his existence would be genuine and not morally bankrupt. Would you call a schizophrenic person immoral for having delusions?
      Despite those kinds of statements, there's a lot of parables from the bible that show Jesus being morally good and showing others how to be morally good.

    • @dodleymortune4312
      @dodleymortune4312 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@ducklett-in-a-helmet
      Then if you say he was a mad man who said good things( because schizophrenic people can be moral) that's an other option, but this new option do not change the point of the argument.
      When one says that Jesus was a good moral teacher they are implying that he was not out of his mind, but that he is not God.
      If one says that he was mad but he thought good things, no one will oppose this because based on the idea that someone who has mental problem can not do and say good things, but what would tell you is that since he was crazy, you can not follow him as he said: the ultimate master of your life, because despite all the good things this crazy person would have said: dont kill, dont steal, etc. He still would have said some aburds things like: I existed before Abraham, I am life, I will judge the world, I will resurect the dead, I am the only begotten son of God, etc.
      So even if this same person could say some things it would still be dangerous to follow him IF the shoking phrases he said are not true. A tyrant like Hitler could say some good things also.
      So, to say that Jesus could have been a madman but still a good teacher, is just the same thing as option A of the video, but only said in a nicer way.

    • @kuba-le3io
      @kuba-le3io หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@8eyes Thats a good question, because everyone is talking about it but its not that easy to actually distinguish what is symbolic about hell and what is literal.
      1) Seperation from the Eternal God (2 Thessalonians 1:9) that of course includes all the goodness that we have in this life. Heaven is heaven because of the presence of God. Hell is hell because of the absence of God. That's why I said there is not possible even one good thing about hell, because all good comes from God (James 1:17)
      2) Hell is eternal. There's no going back. (Matthew 25:41, Matthew 25:46)
      3) There are many times Jesus indicates that hell is a place where fire never goes out. People will be tormented eternally.
      (Revelation 21:8, Matthew 13:50, Mark 9:43, and more)
      4) Your soul is destroyed. I dont even wanna know what it means. No one on earth can know what it means.
      (Matthew 10:28)
      I skipped some things for sure, but I wanted to be completely biblical.
      I think that hell is a different realm. Like a completely different unverse, because it has to be HUGE. Jesus says that most of the people end up in hell. And He certainly was taking it seriously. Whether its a place of complete darkness or complete fire or something else I think it doesnt matter that much because the thing that truly matters is the fact that its seperation from the source of all good. Love, peace, joy, beauty, fullfilment, connection, hope I could go on and on.
      Thankfully, God made the road to the heaven simple, but narrow. The only way is Jesus. If you believe that Jesus as the Son of God died for your sins, and God resurrected him then you are saved and justified before God. Forever. (Romans 8:1, John 14:6, Romans 10:9, Titus 3:5, John 10:27-29, Romans 8:38-39 and many many more)
      Many people want to add something to the Jesus work. Its evil. Stay away from this teaching. God is a jealous God. All Glory belongs to him. He wont let in people who claim they did something to earn it or deserve it. (Matthew 7:21-23)

They had absolutely nothing to gain and everything to lose. Because of what they taught their friends and family scorned them, the Jews and Romans stole their social standing, possessions, and political privileges, they were imprisoned, whipped, tortured, exiled, crucified, eaten by lions, and cut to death by gladiators. They archaeologists first found, as expected, the ruins of a basilica built by the Emperor Constantine in the 4th century A.D., then a 2nd century inconspicuous monument, covered in Peter-related graffitti (referenced in contemporary Christian literature as marking Peter's tomb). Below that was a 1st century grave, empty but for a niche containing wrapped bones missing the feet. Hypothesis: traditionally Peter asked to be crucified upside down, and soldiers in a hurry might hack them off the awkward dead body of a robust elderly man? I mean, we don't have his dental records to uh, cross check, but that's not BAD as ancient historical/archaeological evidence goes.
      Hey, maybe Julius Caesar was a sun-myth and the Gauls had the gall to spontaneously surrender to one squad of legionaries without a fight? There's just no such thing as (ghost written?) bad publicity. Maybe? Not.

    I already knew this argument and it is very good, but it is even more complete.
    Was Jesus a liar?: No, because knowing that they were going to kill him he would have confessed his lie.
    He was mad? No, because he speaks like someone who is rational, besides that when the teachers of the law, the Pharisees wanted to accuse him, he always answered correctly and did not fall into any of their traps, they did not even dare to ask him again. In addition to the fact that if he were a madman, people would not follow him, they would notice, much less die for a madman.

    Love these videos, they've been opening my mind in ways I hadn't considered before. Everything makes a lot of sense to me with one question I haven't seen an answer to. What differentiates Jesus from others who claim to be the son of God? How can we say that they are liars when they too have cult followings of people who say they believe them, have seen them perform miracles, and in certain cases are even willing to die for them. No disrespect but I genuinely would like to know, this might warrant its own video.

    • @AspiringSaint
      @AspiringSaint ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Yo sorry that nobody has responded to this until now.
      The way that we differentiate Him from other figures with "cult followings" is that what He did was so incredibly public. For instance, Mohammed said that he received all of the writings of the Quran from an angel who visited him, who nobody else ever saw. The Buddha, (don't know much about Buddhist history so this might be slightly inaccurate, but I think it still applies), was a moral teacher who privately found the secret to enlightenment and taught it to everyone.
      The things that Christ were have said to have done were in no way private, and either every single aspect of the stories had to have been made up or He actually did them. You can't make up a guy feeding 5000 people by duplicating pieces of bread and fish. You can't make up a guy publicly healing blind people, or completely changing the sky when He died, or turning water to wine for a whole party, or any of the other Miracles that Christ was said to have done. Christ is unique and apart from all other major religious figures in this aspect.

    • @dimitrisleo
      @dimitrisleo ปีที่แล้ว

      Jesus is unique because he resurrected from the dead.
      How do we know this is a real possibility? All the reasons in the video.
      No body found, no way to start a religion with that ridiculous claim unless something was going on, and even more rediculous to actually convince people about it.
      Whats even more crazy is that people were willing to die about it. Religious cultists are always being given a chance to denounce their faith before they get killed. This way you can stop the cult and keep the order.
      But the apostles didn't betray Jesus. They truly believed and they were eye witnesses to the facts.

    • @Fingle
      @Fingle ปีที่แล้ว

      It's because he was raised from the dead, then preached to thousands of people afterward. It was the fact that this man who claimed to be God, was raised up fro, the grave by God, that it was confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt to all the deciples and his followers that he was who he said he was. We know this actually happened because of the early christians' creed, and because the deciples were willing to die horrible deaths preaching christ. Normally, people don't die horrid deaths for something they know was a lie.
