AMERICAN FLYER TRAIN SET

The American Flyer train set #4611 brings loads of fun to the Flyer Junction model railroad empire through action cars and stop motion videos. The train set includes:
#322 New York Central Hudson locomotive
#716 automatic coal unloading car
#634 C&NW searchlight car
#629 Missouri Pacific stock car
#630 Reading illuminated caboose
The #632 LNE hopper car joins the set on a trip through Flyer Junction.
My father enjoyed running this train set in his youth and handed it down to me. After cleaning and repairing the train set, I recently started to run this train on my American Flyer S Scale layout.
The New York Central Hudson Locomotive sets out on an overnight run. It first delivers a load of coal trackside. Then, after dark, it loads up some show horses. The next day a group of model T and model A trucks parade down the main road. Later, the train encounters a problem and has to enter a yard. The sounds of the Hotbox problem are from the American Flyer #599 Freight Sounds record.
While working on the stop motion videos, one of the trucks tipped over ending up on its back. This invoked a thought to create a version of Cadillac Ranch, which can be enjoyed at the end of the video.
As of 7/9/2022, changes to the train layout include installing lights in several buildings, adding streetlights along the main road, painting and installing additional roadbed, and painting the trestle bases.
