What a wonderful way to start our Thanksgiving and begin the holiday season! The wholesome traditions and common courtesy of a bygone era, shared by the people of Flyer Junction, make this tranquil town so special. Oh how we long to return to those times. From my family to yours, and to all who are drawn to this peaceful place - a most joyous and blessed Thanksgiving. ❤❤❤

Thank you for the very kind comments. Glad you enjoyed it. Indeed, you have called out the very chord that was being played. Happy Thanksgiving and a holiday season of great pleasure to you and your family also.

That was truly a work of art! Simply amazing! That must have taken you weeks to compile all the photographs that are needed for the stop animation. This is a lost art. Thank you for sharing! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year my friend. 😊❤️💯🚂🎄😊

Thank you for the kind comments. Glad you enjoyed the video. I use an app called “Stop Motion” to create the animations. My wife moves the figures and vehicles while I take the pictures. Once things are set up it usually does not take long to complete the animation part. There is also adding sounds and editing. Those can take some time. Anyway it is enjoyable to create the animations and I am glad people like you enjoy watching them. May you have the happiest of holidays.

You have one it again. This is wonderfully done. The clothes of some of the people look different, but some of those people look very familiar to me. I may have seen them in another holiday video somewhere. Thank you again for all the work you put into these and for sharing them with us.

Thank you for the very kind comments. Glad you enjoyed it. Thirty-two Plasticville figures were purchased and hand painted by my wife. She has a good eye and a steady hand for such things. You have shown many of the figures on your holiday videos and as you have said, painted differently. Some ideas for this video were gleaned or developed from watching your holiday videos. As you can tell, there are some similarities. Your videos are enjoyed very much!

    Simply put, OUTSTANDING.👍👍👍👍👍
The detail such as the garage door opener recording, red headlight on the Hudson and the name plates on the stream lined passenger cars. I was also impressed by the line of moving vehicles and the people boarding the train.
A new tunnel also, permanent to the layout or just for this video?

Thank you for the kind comments. Glad you enjoyed it.
The red headlight and the garage door were easy. A standard bulb was painted and our garage door was recorded. The name plates were created in Microsoft Paint and printed out. They were fastened to the cars with double sided tape.
My wife did a fantastic job with the stop motion segments of the video. She wanted to have her ceramic houses in the video so a “magic tunnel “ was built as a transition from the layout to an area set up with the houses. The tunnel may be used again if the layout is expanded.

Is that an original 24222 Domino sugar hopper. I met an original Gilbert employee over 20 years ago. He said some were fitted with KC trucks in 1964 or so. Very rare at that! Do you fix steps on those? Mine has 2 good steps on one end. The other two are partial. Let me know if. You can add a bit of plastic with plastic weld.

My apologies for the late reply. This is not an original Gilbert Domino Sugar Hopper but a Lionel American Flyer reproduction. I enjoy it with the trains that I run during the holidays.
A method that I have used to repair the steps on my Baldwin was to clean the area that was broken with alcohol and then build up and attach enough material to make a step from epoxy. After a full cure, I lightly tapped the epoxy to ensure that it had a good bond. Next, I lightly filed and sanded the epoxy into the desired shape. Lastly, mix up paint to match the car and paint the step with a somewhat drybrushing technique. This should help minimize brush strokes seen in the paint. Acrylic craft paint would probably work best. Best of luck should you try this. Taking your time will yield great results and the pride of having done it yourself. If you have any other questions, please ask.
