It was admirable of Wire to get in touch with Kapil Sibal.
for your sake ....................kidding
India requires a strong leader and also a strong opposition, both serving our complex multi religious-cultural nation, survive a global crisis which is imminent!
Mr shyam sharan speaks like writing upsc exam... Noting makes sense in reality but eloquent words
To be a Real Guru one has to become a real friend and sympathiser of all, rich and friend.
Don't be a BJP or Congress voter here. Just enjoy listening to two of the most brilliant minds in the Indian Foreign Service - Mr. Saran and Navtej Sarna.
True
These vital subjects should be discussed on regular basis to disclose and let people know what exactly is going on out here and cast a vote for change by electing a fair government. Kapil Sir Good Going From my father to my son watches you and admire your service to the nation.
Sibal’s heartache for neighbor paxtan is evident😅
Its not just education that we need. The kids will have to be brought up from childhood days, the importance of cleanliness, orderliness, public behaviour, safety aspects, taking-responsibility for pulic order, public safety etc etc etc.
If these are not done immediately, life will not be liveable.
Kapil Sibal arguing for the restoration of article 370 the saddest day in indian democracy
Hats off to kapil sibal for playing aada pada among his peers at the age of 82. kudos.
Tumhari agli saat pushten milke bhi kr payengi kya ye aada paada.

We used to do foreign policy for Bhutan. Today, Bhutan has kicked us to and has started dealing directly with China and has virtually gifted Gulwan to China, making China sit on top of our Chicken Neck. During the G-20, the submitted India- Europe corridor was touted as a major achievement which, within 6 months, has been put in cold storage by global developments. The Charbahar Central Asia corridor, which India was developing via Iran, has also been abandoned. Himantoto Port in Sri Lanka is another example of our diplomatic failure as China has started controlling it and posing a security risk for India.
How many like Dil se kapil sibbal.......
Zero.
Listening Shayam Saran Sir is like a blessing & Navtej sir also as sharp as always.
Could have invited Mr Tharoor as well.
What an accomplished set of speakers. Keep it up ❤
Nice! Courteous, low key and thoughtful. Well done!!
Mr.Sibal should have invited his brother Kanwal Sibal to this discussion. A top notch Foreign Service Officer.
Pleasure to see you Always mr Sibbal , salute to you fir your contribution making in the democracy free from anarchy
Very important conversation that touched on many of the salient points, maybe a great starting point for a series of deep dives into the issues raised, not just on foreign policy but on leveraging cultural relations, education and research, opportunities that India may capitalise into long term assets, the human cost benefit analysis of AI, and so on. Look forward to many more of these.
Excellent 👍👍 presentation.
The show has highlighted significant touchpoints, including the economic conditions of our neighbors, disputes with China over maritime and land territories, Indo-Pacific relations, and contemporary subjects like AI and semiconductor manufacturing. This subject holds potential for further rounds of discussion, so I urge the wire team to invite more esteemed guests to continue exploring it.
@Kapil ji, your ability to ask precise and insightful questions consistently guides the discussion towards its objectives, which is intriguing to witness.
Nice. I read Shyam Saran's book.
Thank you very much wire chanel.
Very frank & insightful discussion by these 3 gentlemen ✨️🇮🇳
Many technologies
companies are moving out too. This year IT countries are not making what it was 10 years ago.
Sardar ne haqiqat boli hai what a pleasant man to listen to
Both are diplomats who have trained to talk both ways and never chalkenge the government of the day. You should have interviewed some other people, like economists .
All failed politicians are discussing successful foreign policy.
Sibal saheb thanks for enlightenment
Great conversation Sir and insight for viewers, keep doing the good work Sir
Kapil Sibal doing his best to water down the achievement of present government whereas two experts trying their best to counter Sibal politely and diplomatically. This podcast gone horrible wrong from Mr Sibal's point of view.
I slightly disagree. He simply asks the questions. These are valid questions, and he asks them in an articulated way. Then he accepts their answers, and in some instances conveys his view. In my opinion that is how a conversation works. People can have different views about an issue, share our views and carefully listen to the opposites views and have a mutual discussion. That's the beauty of democracy. Hence, I feel this is a very informative video.
I really appreciate mr kapil sibals patience with these kind of people, good service he is doing so indian bhakts really know what is our foreign policy representation wad ,the standard of indian people just learn some phrase s in comparison of comparison
Thank for Interview this channel
Such a wonderful discussion and exchange of ideas. Very mature and open minded.
This is a great Interview series by Sir Sibal 👏. Please keep it comming !
Extremely insightful and enlightening discussion! Thank you! 🙏🙏
Great social service Kapilji spending very valuable time . The subjects and personality chosen appropriately makes the discussion meanigful and fruitful. Worth spending time .
A well informative discussion. Hope Wire and Kapil Sibbal Ji will keep continue these types of healthy discussion.
Sir, Kudos for this excellent discussion. 👌👏👍🙏
India is a Sweet ball not because of other reasons but being the biggest consumer market.
Brilliant Discussion. We need a lot more of these. 👌
This program enlightens the present condition of India's democracy and government policies and beaurcacy's statements
*WOW... KHATRI NAVTEJ SAREEN... SIBAL TOGETHER... ALSO CALL YOUR KHATRI BROTHER KHATRI KANWAL SIBAL SIR* ....
Very good and value discussion
Kapil Sibal Sb. adds conviction and much reach to the talk .. engrossing discussion
Great presentation, mashallah.
Excellent discussion..!!
Being vishvaguru means having the character which induces others to emulate and having the strength to defend this character
Mr.Saran and Mr.Navtej comments are very insightful and informative. And if one can read between the lines, they are also quite appreciative of our current foreign policy. As for Mr.Kapil, well he should stick to lawyering and dabbling in politics. Foreign policy is not his cup of tea.
Good Job 👍👏
One can see the pain in Sibal's voice hearing the guests praising the current situation of the Indian economy which is due to the good work of the current dispensation.
If you guys are on youtube and not on your core mint machines --- everything is Good !!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah these people don't do there joh when they were in power but suddenly after retiring they become analysts and Inttectuals etc
@@pipipupu5104 .... See the irony ---- These so-called brains of this nation - get NOMINATED to the Rajya Sabha on quid pro quo,,, help draft and pass laws ,,, then they wear their Senior Lawyer Hats and fight the Same Laws which they helped draft or defend the accused !!! How many cases have they EVER WON IN PROSECUTION - NONE !!! In fact that is their only claim to Glory - Defence Lawyers against the Government/ State and by extension the will of the people !!! In no self respecting Nation other than the Sub Continent does the Happen. Our Judicial System is Crying for Reforms !!! Sad -----
Very good discussion 🙂🙂
Modi is proud that India has the Agniveer.
Very nice 👍
India has 159B$$ loan and it is almost equal to GDP of the Nation.
Thanks for the brilliant conversation. Sir, towards the end, you have pointed out the importance of education. Recently, the income tax department has frozen the bank accounts of The Madras university to realize the IT dues, causing irreversible damage to hundreds of students & research scholars. The defaulter being a university, is this the only & ethical means available to the IT department? Can the IT department stop the movement of trains to recover dues from the railway? Sir, can you hold a discussion on the legal & ethical aspects of the issue of freezing accounts of a public institution?
🎉🎉🎉
Headline is misleading as this discussion has two non partisan panelist who don’t care about any ideology.
Seems retired diplomats are still active diplomats and may not yield.
Inspite of great effort in trying to undermine the present dispensation in India,Kapil had to accept their sincere efforts and successes.
Unlike many INDI politicians, he didn't undermine India in an effort to undermine Modi.
Exactly.... mr navtej sarna, a lot of things come your way and you have to be ready to take it, but we rejected the opportunity to take UNSC membership... because we were busy in making hindi chini bhai bhai🤷♂️
We r acting as a bully in our neighbourhood
These diplomats see all positive side. Lot looking of internal unemployment and high inflation of commodity is like food, petrol and Diesel. Unequal representation of SC & ST.
These samples are not ready to give any credit to Modi ji.
Does anybody remember Shyam Saran and his achievement, a single on.
You get two government employees with employee mentality to discuss foreign policy; they obviously can see nothing wrong with it.
The discussion was candid, open and honest for Mr Sibal, Mr Saran and Mr Sarna; congratulations on doing it. Indian foreign policy had its challenges due to Mr Modi's past ten years of using foreign policy for his domestic audience to gain political mileage at home. It has damaged India, a dangerous and costly trend for the Indian society at large. Investment in education, R&D, and good governance are required for any society to be a viable economic power, social stability and military prowess. All of these factors are important for an objective and successful foreign policy. Unfortunately, India has lost at least a decade of its inability to resolve regional issues, especially with China, and it has further put a question mark on the next fifteen years. Only when Mr Modi changes his mindset from Gujrat Nostalgia to Inclusive India, there is little hope for India to take its deserving place on the world scene in the next 25 years.
Economic growth depends upon the liberation of thought; having domestic policies to segregate people based on their ethnic origin and religious belief systems is a counterweight to economic policy and liberates the education system. Indian intelligentsia is required to put its weight behind its national policy. Otherwise, Mr. Modi's tunnel vision will damage further India's future.
😂😂 what lmao then please explain how did Congress used foreign policy how stupid are to even say that lmao😂😂😂
@@pipipupu5104he's just a A.I. bot
@@pipipupu5104 I am not sure what you mean by Congress Foreign Policy? The core Foreign Policy does not change, irrespective of changes in the ruling party. When a government changes its core foreign policy like Mr. Modi's rule, it may bring catastrophic results.
@@zaffazad4040 what catastrophic results do you see in modi foreign policy that you didn't see in Congress and please mention some success of Congress foreign policy and please mention short and crisp don't write stupid useless paragraphs.
@@pipipupu5104 The Ladakh and Galwan foreign policy blunder and mishandling, would cost two trillion dollars to the Indian economy, at the expense of poverty reduction and social uplift in the next 20 years.
👍
I always have the suspicion that our foreign policy is tune with diversification strategy of Corporate leaders
Namaskar, Sib al ji! In debted to your all out efforts @ different levels.Having said, forget ViswaGuru (Like most self proclaimed promoted jingles). Mr Saran - Ambassador to China 2004-06. What followed him is should be in news for his last year jingle on Xi-China incursio with no provocation and totally denied (let alone ignored) followed by jingle - How could we (dare stand against Xi) - for reasons all the wokes know (No need for me to explain). Having said, that last year stmt is being justify Now that we have identified the enemy @ Delhi border in Punjab Kissan and hence recent procurement of Drones from Biden with in-built cut for Anil MoBani (along with cuts from Boeing fleet for AI/IA for JRD who moved his business empire from Didi state to Gujrat and few other pvt airline operators orders) while SPM (whom you interview recently, I guess) is being raided all his locales where eer he was deputized in his govt roles while he is struggling on Hospital bed
The fast developments in AI will make our demographic dividend into a Libality within the next decade unless India develops a strategy to counter it, which is missing today.
Is a Chinees agent managing the Indias Foreign Police now?
Dr.Raghuram Rajan wrote these things in his recent book. From another recent book on A.I ( homo technologicus),I became aware of the A.I competition b/w West & Asia, and the massive change the world is going through.
Lmao raghuram rajan 😂😂😂
@@pipipupu5104 He is a hardcore Nationalist. His whole argument is why Indians should remain as just the working ants for the west? Why not own intellectual properties and become the boss as well?
why shouldn't India offer a defence establishment (army, navy and airforce) to have permanent base in Northern Australia on long term basis
India has been always in the centrality of international affairs. The national interests have not been served by the Indian establishment. Modi indulged in Electoral campaign of Trump which was very much disturbing. The fallout was visible for a pretty long time. The Biden Administration did not appoint its Ambassador in India.
There is only one Vishwaguru and that's USA ..period
Good conversation between cream of Indian foreign polcy
Mr sibal forgot to mention the reason for root cause of disturbing situation in the eastern sector. May be he is ashamed of ☹
Sir please fill the Pil on statehood of jandk
Without mincing words accept we are no where near being called global leader. Wishvaguru is termed to fool larger Indian population.
We have and had greatest young population advantage to that we have performed very miserably with economics with short sighted decisions.
Hindi mein sarkaar hume bandhua majdoor bana rahi for private or hum toh hai hi modiji ke liya
Manipur situation and it's implication on foreign affairs was not discussed
Kapil sir mody has proved that he is darpok against china. So our immediate neighbors will go with China for their security. Maldives is an example.
On Bangladesh, the people to people connect has taken a huge beating recently. Though the relation with the rulling party Awami league is good.
Request an central hall episode with Dhruv Rathi
What about Chinese occupied 2000 sq KMs land in Easter Ladakh? PM could not talk to Chinese President to diffuse tensions still there.
We in India needs investment in skills upgrade and a level playing field for big and small players, else AI will kill jobs.
Kapil Sibal tried his best to get negative opinions from both the diplomats, but failed miserably.
Shyam Saran handed over Hindu Nepal to the Maoist Communists. And these communists have ideological ties with the Chinese CCP. There is party to party ties between the two. With such bureaucrats in the MEA, India does not need any enemy.
Let me tell u indian share market is going fall like crazy in future qnd people holding sell will prevail.
Why not discuss the repercussions of having started very impractical, amateurish foreign policy and directly affecting the country and the neighborhood and taking the entire region into dark times and allowing China to dominate in these parts?
Which audience are these platforms targeting? Any suspicion on this? What wire stands for?
For the last 30 years
I was asking everyone I talked ( I am nobody).
Tell me a book which equate co related economy of over POPULATED country and under populated countries.
Now came AI.
SO food for common + educated young generation ???
Anarchy???
😇😇🙏
Arre Sibal bare bhai ko bhi bula laita voh acknowledged diplomat.
India's future should have been left in the hands of Arfa Khanum's mentor Hameed Ansari who is very famous for his IRAN episod. Then The Wire would have been satisfied.
I hate this word vishwaguru.....per capita income humara aur hdi dekh
Abe vishwa guru banna chaahate hain.
The subject is tough but it has become a habit of late to listen
Sri. Kapil Sibal.
According to me, our biggest competitor is United States of America.
