    Thanks! I think I’ll be buying one. Bought the same PRS SE, fantastic guitar. Great solo.

      Yeah, it's a decent guitar. Certainly not perfect though.
      The volume knobs are in a weird place and the pickups could be replaced with something a bit better.
      Anyway, thanks a lot. Enjoy your pedal.

    I've found too many buttons, and an lcd can be overwhelming .I purchased a katana with my first electric guitar. I spent more time screwing with settings and modulations than i did playing! Picked up the ir200, and i love it!

    I don't think this is a versus vid but more a RC-5 explanation vid.

    The distortion on the drum kit is not a plus for the unit. You should get your levels right before you demo.

    Like i said just a second ago...I'll learn on the rc1 and upgrade when I'm competent enough to use it.

    I would like rc1 as it's simple to be honest I would never use any of its functions on the rc5 it seems too complex but the rc1 is let down by only being able to store one loop a major drawback for me anyway.

    • @andrewsiemon
      @andrewsiemon  ปีที่แล้ว

      Out of all the loopers I own, the only one that can store multiple loops is the RC-5.

    I just ordered this pedal from Amazon. You are the only person that talked about the Boss backup tracks! That's yet another a cool feature this pedal has. Thanks for the info.

    Yeah i love mine too. Also i picked up a beat buddy, it doesn't loop but the drum linrary is crazy. Plus it has a shit load of songs(drums only) when i give it a second stp it will change to a different part of the song. Its amazing. However the RC5 is will change you into a different level of a guitarist. And the rc5 is affordable too.

    • @andrewsiemon

    I've got a problem a bit technical with loop station. I make this question in a Guitar Channel, because lot of people, also in shops of effects, couldn't answer to this question:
    I've got a Boss RC 30. It is nice.. but... i can't change the memories(or patches) with the pedal. So.. i've tried an external pedal as switch, but it's not useful... also with original Boss pedal, for changing memories, you should take pressed the pedal for some seconds(hold down for some seconds), and when it start... it start to go up quickly...for example 2,3,4, 10...
    It's impossible to be precise during a medium difficulties execution with guitar. In fact.. i've found nobody in internet that can make it, in that way.. with this setup.
    I must play a song with a singer. In this songs i need to change 3 different memories, 3 different pre-recorded backing guitar that i record before the concert, and all the executions must be done at metronome that i have on my headphones.
    I need to change memories(or patches) with a single touch, to stay "in time" with the song.
    I've whatched some bigger Loop Stations.. but.. they are expensive, and some changes lot of "tracks" with pedal, not the "memories".
    It is different, for example: if i can change 4 tracks, i can overwrite 4 different part.. but i'm playing always the same "memory". I dont need so much tracks, effects, or things like this.. i only need to change the memories(or loops, i don't know how you call this) in a easier and quicker way.
    One question:
    Do you know the cheepest way to have something that can change the memories, pre recorded, with a "single push" on pedal? With RC30 or with another loop station? It would be the only solution for me. Minimum 3?
    Thanks in Advance.

    I love the simplicity of the rc 1, my only quam is it doesn't sync with the volca series :/.. Because i like the idea of using a drum machine and synth aloneside live loopering, and automating those aswell..

    I like the rc-1 better for a simple looping machine. I use it mostly for texture in songs and adding some space. I don’t use it really specifically for the one man band situation

    I use to have an rc-5! Loved it! Sold it with some other stuff to get the RC-600! Found that too much for my needs! Sold it! Got an RC-500! Love it and still use it but missed having an RC-5 about and now I re-bought one! Have RC-500 working with Rc-5! You get more flexibility with board space etc. RC-600 is good but I found I hardly used it’s onboard effects because I use my own stuff :)

    Great video, I’m new to your channel, but I’m definitely going to listen to more, and subscribe! Real quick, I’m first time buying a looper, looking at the tc electronic ditto plus, you think the boss pedals are better?

    • @andrewsiemon
      @andrewsiemon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can find a Ditto new? I had to get mine on eBay for $$$. I have about 4 loopers. The RC-5 and the Ditto X2 are great. The RC-5 is a more fully-featured looper but the Ditto X2 is easier to use.

      @@andrewsiemon Thanks so much for your reply. After looking it over, with your feedback in mind I think I will go with the Boss RC5, because of the features, and because the sound reproduction is so much better (32 vs 16 bit), that’s a pretty big deal to me. The multiple features have a learning curve, but after thinking about it, more features means greater flexibility, and I like that. Thanks so much for your reply, it really helped. PS I watched more of your videos, love the content on your channel and your playing is fantastic to listen to.

    Hello Andrew! Question... I play flamenco so the guitar I have does not have a plug and I'm not sure if I want to convert my guitar into an electro-acoustic. Is it possible to connect the pedal to a microphone in one end and into an amplifier on the other and start doing loops or it has to be an electro-acoustic guitar? Thanks for your channel!
