      @@RAVE_1358 you could use a piece of paper towel or kitchen towel around it if you don't have an extra windscreen/foam, I find that speaking much closer to it sounds the best but the popping sound becomes prominent and the paper towel eliminates it just fine. Awesome review man!
    As someone who started streaming for the first time ever on Twitch last night (using this exact mic), he’s not lying! It’s an awesome portable & affordable microphone! However, I did mess up the entire stream by forgetting to unmute it in SLOBS, but my best friend who was part of the stream had his going at the same time. His replay had shown that in our Discord voice chat my voice came in perfectly (& I wear a freaking surgical mask!)

    Even infamously brutal “Podcastage” liked this microphone; Not because it sounds great, but because it sound good, and can be used in multiple situations. // My Vocal Tip: When in -10db setting, you want speak to up close to it. Yes, this setting will reduce background noise, but the real thing is that speaking or singing close-up will bring out the nuance of your voice. You must make a DIY pop filter to use the mic this way, or buy one. This is actually amazing that you can use this mic as a miniaturized condenser mic, and it’s part of what makes this mic so much fun. The Samson Pro-mic is a true gem, and is great for a beginning recording-novices, or for travelers, as well as for video-conferencing, and sound experimentation. Even playing around with music vocals on something this tiny and limited, yet so super-sensitive adds to this single little mic as a multifaceted creative too.

    The funny thing is that it's so much better than almost every xlr mic out there under $1000.
    Kind of hilarious. MXL 990 only thing better for cheap. Rode nt1 for mid price option.
    It's really flat and natural. The omni sounds better in a good room.

    the samson is brilliant, after i figured out how to properly connect it to my phone it's great for recording my acoustic guitar, very good quality sound. i can see why they designed the clip on the way they did, but fixing it to the mic stand by screwing it in leaves the mic a bit floppy, it's no problem to position it, but the ball and socket could be better, and even more universal, other than that, yoiks! good value for the money.
    they do one with a camera apparent;y, but i can't see where to buy.....

    I have two of those, one each laptop. One is on Windows 7 and the other on Windows 10, and they works great on both... I've spent like 130 € for both, could be not that cheap for a mic that has been out since 2011, but it's a very good quality mic, love them!

    • @SeeMyJoinDate
      @SeeMyJoinDate 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @sareed bindu you may see they shows a CD-ROM that comes with the mic's packaging, (into the older reviews mostly), maybe back then this mic wasn't plug & play. But mines are P&P, which means, probably, during the years they changed something into their firmware.

    I've been using it very successfully for 3 years now with a pop filter. It sounds amazing. However I've just ordered a new mic because I don't like how it looks on video. There is also zero latency when you plug headphone directly into the jack.

    • @Wild4

      Its a funky look but it does work well

    • @liammurphy8254
      @liammurphy8254 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @The Caring Adolf Hitler My new mic is by the same company. I got the Samson Q2U. It looks so much better on camera and I'm also getting away without a pop filter too as the wind cover on it is quite good. The decision of buying the Samson Q2U was made after hours and hours research. I was even open to spending up to €1000/$1000 on a really good microphone. But the Samson Q2U has had the highest ROI. You are only going to get an extra 5-7% improvement by spending for spending 10 times as much.

    • @liammurphy8254
      @liammurphy8254 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @The Caring Adolf Hitler I use both. I use the Samson Go as an upgrade to the the computer microphone. Don't get me wrong the Samson Go has an excellent sound, but there is no wind protection without a pop filter and the plosives drive me mad. So for Podcast, I much prefer to use the Samson Q2U. I find with the Samson Q2U that I don't have to do as mush cleanup in post editing. A lot of the microphone reviewer get really excited about the Samson Q2U too. So if you are running live, like "streaming" I would go with the Samson Q2U. And if you are the type of person that shouts into the microphone, you may still need a pop filter. But hold off on the purchase of a pop filter to you are certain that you need it. So my answer is is to get the Samson Q2U. Also it the Samson Q2U out of stock, the Audio-Technica ATR2100-USB is a excellent alternative.

      You may need to get a conversion cable to ensure it works. A little bit of research on google will tell you which kind you need.

      This mic has been around for a while so it could be an older design BUT my guess is Mini-b keeps the price lower
