    I'd recommend Pyramid Song to get another flavor of Radiohead. While all Radiohead sounds like Radiohead, each song is its own immersive distinct experience. No band comes close to Radiohead IMO. They are the Beatles of our generation and its worth exploring their whole massive catalogue on your own free time. Smoke a J and listen to Kid A. I dare you.

    • @Reani71
      @Reani71 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Finally someone who speaks out what I keep saying for years now: they are The Beatles of our generation. And that is no exaggeration or a bad comparison. The creativity, the versatility, the evolution in their music, the musicianship itself, the marketing and production aspects and the sheer genius of both bands are outstanding both in their own times.
      I highly recommend listening to Fake Plastic Trees, There There, How To Disappear Completely and Exit Music (For a Film). Thank you.

    Thoms vocal style was influenced by the great Jeff Buckley. He saw Jeff live and then went and wrote Fake Plastic Trees. He said that hearing Jeff gave him permission to use his voice to emote. Check out Jeff if you can, a very talented man who died far too soon. Jeff influenced Muse too.

    My late father used to work in a well known mental health hospital in the UK and met the lead singer of Radiohead there as he was sectioned in the hospital for a few years. The reason he has so much soul and grit to his voice is the fact that he means and feels every single depressing lyric. He lived through scitzphrenia and much more. Amazing artist.

    Paranoid Android is a reference to a line in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy where Zaphod refers to Marvin as a "Paranoid android"

    Idioteque is my favorite Radiohead song. I'd love to see your reaction to it; such an amazing band.
    Also I would love to see your interpretation of the music video Just by Radiohead.
    I love your guys' genuine enthusiasm.
    Dueces!
    P.S.
    If you covered Chevelle- Emotional Drought that would be amazing.
    Also Thrice- Firebreather is worth a listen, I think you would appreciate.

    "Wolf at the Door" is a good Radiohead song to check out. It's kind of halfway between rap and singing, and it's pretty interesting

    The first time I heard this song was Live at Bonnaroo '12 (not legendary '06) on three hits of acid. This was the encore song. That night my head opened up, they got in there, my head closed back. Theyve been my favorite band ever since.

      This is one of those albums you drive out to the middle of nowhere, crank it up, light one up, and just stare at the stars on the roof of your car …. Contemplating life, the universe, and existence.

    If you all thought this was haunting wait till you get to "Climbing Up the Walls" and "Exit Music for a Film" off of this album!!! And after that you still have Pyramid Song and How to Disappear Completely to check out off their albums Kid A, and Amnesiac.
