JCVD stays with his Story. I watched a New Interview, which is on a New German BluRay Release of "Bloodsport". JCVD didn't even mention Qissi. In His Version, he did everything by himself. That's why JCVD would never do an Interview with Viking Samurai, because in that he have to answer why he ignore Qissi's Help.
These interviews with Mohamed are getting better and better! Hearing him telling all this I can't avoid but getting emotional, and my respect and admiration for JCVD and Qissi is growing more and more! 🔥
It's crazy to hear JC was really motivated enough to pursue his dream in movies but there woudn't any JC without Mohammed Qissi, this man was obsessed of making Van Damme a superstar. He did anything in his power to make it happen and he really did! It's so true that a good friend is worth his weight in gold. Thank you for posting all of this Viking, much appreciated it.
Always looking forward to another episode of Mohammed "Michel" Qissi (aka Tong Po) animated yet extremely detailed stories about the early days of their careers in LA & Beverly Hills! I have an office in Beverly Hills and I know exactly the streets and locations Mohammed is describing to the smallest detail! I have to admit this, I am such a fanboy that while I am watching the video, I am playing Stan Bush's "Streets of Siam" & Duran Duran's "Don't hold back the rain" in low volume to get another dimension of experience to the story! Through this interview, it makes me admire Mohammed Qissi & JCVD even more! Much respect for them! Great job asking supporting questions Viking Samurai!
Man o man, these interviews with Qissi are absolutely priceless!! These need be extras on a Special Edition Bloodsport or something. The way he tells the story is like watching an artist paint a beautiful picture. It really hits a personally chord. Obviously I never made it in the industry, which is all good, but the reason why Im sharing my thoughts on this is because how he explains their emotions with meeting Menahem, their trials and tribulations, etc etc all to become a star is basically how Ive felt on wanting to at least meet Van Damme, if not being able to work with him, my whole life (well, since I was 7). Anyways, I feel this passionate tale with such energetic vibes, makes want to just march on outta work and try and try again lol, at least again to try and see JCVD.
Mohammed Qissi was the best friend that Van Damme ever had. It's so sad that Van Damme ignore everything Qissi done for him and said in the Interviews he done all by himself. Qissi cared more for Van Damme as for hisself.....and Van Damme cared more for himself in the end. But the good thing is, Mohammed Qissi gets with this Interview finally the recognition he deserves.
I got emotional while listening to this story. Mr. Quissi is like Rocky’s Mickey. “ if you feel you’re going down you’re going to hear like a whisper in your ears’ get up you son of b.. because Quissi loves you. Mr. Quissi is Jean Claude Van Dame’s guard angel in earth. GOD bless him always 🙏
Dam!! Qissi knew he had lightning in a bottle. With Van Damme crying about everything all the time, Qissi was relentless in his pursuit to make his best friend a star. The timing was incredible for how everything worked out. It was fate. It's amazing, Qissi's recollection of the whole journey. Probably because he lived such a clean life of no drinking or drugs.
For real. I would have never guessed VD was not a confident guy and negative all the time with his (i cant....lets goooo). Qissi dragged his ass to a positive!
Amazing. Qissi's version of the deal is full of fun details and makes way more sense. I just cannot imagine Menachem Golan giving milk, cookies and the lead role in Bloodsport to someone just because he was crying. It's not like he's Santa.
this is gold! i love how mr. qissi gets so excited, like a kid telling his story. this is what makes me go all the way back to that date. i remember seeing van damme in no retreat no surrender, then before bloodsport came out my grandma told me they had a "new karate star" and i said his name is jean claude van damme, right? yeah! then the bloodsport commercial hit and my friends were waiting for the movie to open. one of our friends couldn't go and ended up at the theater with his dad, step mom and step brother discussing what to see, when my friend said "bloodsport is a pretty good sports movie from what i hear" so they went and got to see it! that was such a good time! brings back really good memories. thank you mr. qissi and thank you mr. samurai!
Fantastic Episode, this channel is Awesome! I tell you Mohammed Qissi is a great friend and for those who say God doesn't answer prayers, they need to hear what Mr. Qissi said. There prayers were answered. Thanks for posting this my friend.
Absolutely amazing interview and makes complete sense. Love how JVCD has missed out all the details. My goodness, what can we say about Mohammed Qissi for encouraging JCVD, building his confidence and continually driving him forward to help him get to where he wanted to go. I really didn't think Mohammed Qissi had this much involvement. I don't know what to say. I'm lost for words. I believe JCVD would have flown back home if it wasn't for his best friends, unconditional love, help and support. A big lesson: Mohammed expected or wanted nothing. He helped his friend get to where he wanted to go. That's how you build success people. Don't be selfish. Help your friends out and it will eventually come back on you.
Facts. But that's how it is in life. Someone always gets exploited and forgotten afterwards. Qissi could have become a top villain in many movies but the favor was never returned as big as he did it...
All of Qissi's interviews have been superb, just edge of your seat, "What happened next?" Waiting for the next interview. This was the climax here, the big pay off. I'm glad no one had to give Big Bob his pay off climax to get the role. That part was very Hollywood. OMG! But the totality of all these interviews. What a story!
Such an inspirational story of not quitting, having faith in God, and not selling out! Thank you, Viking Samurai, for putting these interviews out for free on TH-cam: you are inspiring the "Van Damme's" of tomorrow. And thank you, Mohammed Qissi, for not giving up! Inspiration!
I'm LOVING the way this channel is growing man. I remember reading all these tales from the "Tracking Van Damme" editorial series in Martial Arts Illustrated magazine in the early 90s. To hear them retold with all these details is truly a fan's dream. Thanks for doing this. There is so much heart in it, and it shows.
This is why I love you're guess with interviews, because you get both sides of each story from every guests you have Viking Samurai. Also each guess that you have are very respectful to you Viking Samurai. Mohammed Qissi has been one of the best interviews that I have seen on you're channel all year.
One of the fun imporntant story which many ppl want to know the truth about Vandamme and Qissi journey in USA before the Hollywood movies.. Awesome interview. Thank you, we want more this type of interview storys 👍🙏
i love this. And i love Van Dammes story on how he won over Menahem Golan. There was a great interview about it on joblo. But now those interviews are gone which sucks cause i used to watch those videos alot for motivation. To succeed like my hero Van Damme.
there is something i must say to those who consistently say that JC should have mentioned about Qissi's support, and i did say at first that Qissi was the unsaid part of JC's success. however, in one of JC's french interview, JC acknowledged the superiority of the Arabic's culture in terms of dieting, the culinary way of his training, and JC was and still is the living proof of it. i am not going there, but if you (David) want to ask Qissi or JC directly, it's up to you man, because i think this is an area that is quite personal yet JC's shared it. i'm unsure on how much JC is currently applying it due to the fitness/nutrition boom, but that interview is not that old and is on youTube. this is his way of being grateful to Mohammed Qissi's friendship and support and, there is a lot of good things out of this duo. this futhermore proves to me that every behind successful lives, there is that special person or personS in their corner. thank you so much for another video. JCVD was.... in later years diagnosed as bipolar so it does make sense he would be highly emotional and erratic and would need a good wingman to keep him on track and not lose sight in his pursuit of movie stardom. I have heard the story many times and knew the pulling of the Predator card was key in impressing Golan. Even when the bloody film got made Menahem wouldn't release it so JCVD and Qissi were not out of the woods yet. I can't believe there hasn't been a proper DVD special edition/revisit to Bloodsport! Interviews with all the actors would be amazing some 30 years plus since it's release.
I like the way Mohammed takes time to talk about those beautiful women and lovely food from way back in the early 80s 💯💯💯 😅and always pushing his friend to achieve his dream! 💯💯💯 They climbed 9 stories of stairs oh man that was a serious work out right there. These interviews are just amazing ... absolutely 💯 Thanks so much Viking 💯🙏
I find Qissi's story about helping Van Damme getting in on Bloodsport more believable than Van Damme begging for the role followed by Menaham Golem giving JCVD milk & cookies. This video also sheds more light into the Sheldon Lettich interview where he explained why Qissi & Van Damme had their previous fallout. I remember Lettich said that Van Damme promised Qissi if he ever made it big in Hollywood, Qissi would be paid half of everything. Now we know why. Van Damme was blessed to have a good friend like Qissi. Shame JCVD hasn't given Qissi more credit to his success. Looking forward to more of these videos, Viking. Keep up the good work!

Hello, Viking Samurai. Almost every Van Damme fan, is familiar with the Predator story. With that said, I never knew all these details. That's crazy. TERRANCE OUT
Wow i love the story great story Mohammed haha thats so funny about the Elevaitor in the penthouse when JC kept pressing the ground floor haha that was so funny god bless you both you both never gave up you guys are amazing very interesting indeed brother you was an angel there for you both deserved the success love you man. ❤
Keep up the great work cant wait to see you in more movies brother ❤ god bless lots of love from Christopher Livermore. xx hey David i really enjoyed your show brother Mohammed is an amazing man.
I remember watching the Arsenio Hall show a lot back then in the early 1990's and Van Damme being on his show and promoting his movie(s) and also him talking about playing the Predator which really surprise me. I also remember later in that same year someone from the movie Predator 1987 coming forward saying that Van Damme was fired from the movie for constantly passing out from heat exhaustion inside the original Predator costume.
Just amazing interviews. Qissi is a true brother and friend that someone needs to succeed in life. Faith in God or the Universe is necessary to succeed in life. Helping poor and protecting God's creation is definitely important. They had right mindset. Yes Mohammed Qissi needs to be in Mathis Hue upcoming film with his elder brother. They need to true come back. 🎉🎉🎉
I dont understand, didnt Van Damme star in No Retreat No Surrender before Bloodsport? Couldnt he just point to that movie and say that he played the lead villian?
Amazing interview Viking !! Quissi very entertaining edge of the seat stuff in storytelling !!! I thought it was No Retreat No Surrender that got him the part to Bloodsport??
This video is spectacular, Viking Samurai!! 🤺💪 Mohammed Quissi told everything with a lot of details. Even the ugly parts, like that disgusting creepy guy called 'Bob'. I think that's why Jean-Claude never told that full story, to omit that part of the dark Hollywood where they had to reject that pervert guy and go and talk directly to Menahem Golan. Than you very much for this treasure of a video, brother 🙏👏👏👍
@@VikingSamurai Brother Van Damme always told his version of his Story but I believe that M. Qissi is telling the Truth of Van Damme's Story...You have obtained from M. Qissy what I believe is the Truth of what happened....
I truly believe Quissi´s version of the facts, he´s been telling the same story for years, and is much more believable than the glamurous hollywood tale that JCVD and Golan have been telling for years... However, I´m still curious to know the real story behind of how JCVD got the role in No Retreat, No Surrender
There was a E true Hollywood story on Van Damme that I can't find the complete version of on TH-cam, they interviewed some of the actors from No retreat no surrender, wish I could find it again.
Man Van Damme can thank Mohammed for his entire career. I can't believe Van Damme doesn't treat this man like gold.
Thats a fact! Qissi would have been a footnote in VDs biography if it wasnt for these interviews! He owes his whole career to Qissi!

hey David i really enjoyed your show brother Mohammed is an amazing man.
This story or at least the in depth details have not been told before! Pretty interesting!
I love how tough-guy Tong Po was snuggling with his pillow the entire interview! Too bad it wasn't a stuffed animal..
Well, there's more to that Predator story lol
I'm sure there is, and I'm looking forward to your next interview with Mr. Qissi.
@@Jim-jc8vb that story is out there already ain’t gotta wait here
@@psilva2462 I'm in no hurry to know the answer(s). I can wait for Viking Samurai's next video with Qissi, but thanks for letting me know.
To think this gent played the scariest martial art villain Tong Po...
epic story never give up!! haha
f****** awesome thank you both for the upload
Crazy that the Bob guy tried to get JCVD to go down on him lol I can imagine what women actresses have to go through.
Wow, this is beyond incredible!
Definitely!
Great work!!Greetings from Greece!!
I dont understand, didnt Van Damme star in No Retreat No Surrender before Bloodsport? Couldnt he just point to that movie and say that he played the lead villian?
Good stuff man have u tried to get an interview with Jean Van Damme
Amazing interview Viking !!
Quissi very entertaining edge of the seat stuff in storytelling !!!
I thought it was No Retreat No Surrender that got him the part to Bloodsport??
Pure Gold 💪👌👍✌
1:29
He even got the bump on Van Damme's forehead.
I love Mohammed he's so funny....
Viking Samurai Bro You are not a looser You will Get a VAN DAMME Interview for the channel🎉
Lol, even if I don't I'm still not a "looser"
@@VikingSamurai VAMOOOOOS LET"S GO Brother💪🏻You Can Do It
@@VikingSamurai Brother Van Damme always told his version of his Story but I believe that M.
I want to know that story too
There was a E true Hollywood story on Van Damme that I can't find the complete version of on TH-cam, they interviewed some of the actors from No retreat no surrender, wish I could find it again.
Hilarious 😂😂😂❤️🏋️♂️
