      @@aliafan7357 congrats but you aren't who this system is designed to exploit. I have a friend who I am not kidding. frequently spends an entire week's paycheck on whatever video game he happens to be into at the time. It seems like no matter what game it is if he spends time in it and they will take his money for decorative BS...he will buy it almost immediately.
      Games I know for a fact he has spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars on: GTAV, RED DEAD ONLINE, ROCKET LEAGUE, WORLD OF WARSHIPS, FORZA SERIES, POKERSTARS VR, NEED FOR SPEED WORLD, I'm sure there are probably a dozen more from the last decade or so.
      They are fine with casuals padding out the bottom line but they aren't focused on you. They want the 13 year old who drains granny's retirement fund, they want the guy struggling with substance abuse, they want the problem gambler.
      On average half of each games entire economy is generated by less than 0.3% of their userbase. only 2.2% of free to play players spend any money at all. The majority of those players quit after a week or two. It's sort of diabolical, they have actually created a system that self filters out the non-payers while allowing them achieve maximum profit from their consumer base and so far without being regulated in that activity.

    • @TheNitroG1
      @TheNitroG1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if you expect a 13 year old to be able to budget and manage expenses properly...you have never met a 13 year old. Most parents struggle to get their children to understand the value of a dollar. It takes years to teach. After two years of working on it myself with my daughter I'm just starting to get through to her.
      Hell she still will often waste the money she earns on essentially a toy based version of loot boxes. I still haven't really gotten across the concept of saving money for anything more than short term.

    • @calvinbailey5315
      @calvinbailey5315 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheNitroG1 I tend to agree, like they can grasp the concept of money in general, as in you need it to pay for things, but they don't realize how much it's actually worth and how long it takes to earn it etc. It also depends on the intelligence/development of the kid. I do think the kid would have known it was a lot though. If I have a kid, I would do the purchase myself, no way I would give my credit card to a 13 year old.

I just said to find new ideas through this, also aint the devs fault in the first place for not using these ideas already? Ideas are not copyrightable, what you do with them is. If the game the guy was playing is Final Fantasy X minigames I can understand his murderous intent, anyone would go crazy after completing the 2 chocobo races and dodging 200 lightning bolts.

    • @TomSir79
      @TomSir79 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      People always take those two Mini-Games as Example for unfair Difficulty in a Final Fantasy Game. And here i'm sitting completing these two Mini-Games with Ease but get frustrated with that darn Butterfly Hunt...
      Honestly the Chocobo Race gets easier once you know its Mechanics.
      1) Avoid those Birds by running on the far right Side
      2) Pick as many Ballons as you can, because those count as Extra Time
      3) Be fast while doing Point 1 and 2
      Once you stick to those Rules the Race gets overly easy. Trust me i finished that Game ~13 Times and out of those 13 Times i managed to get Zero Time in my first or second Attempt.
      On to those Lightning Strikes! This is even easier to do than the Chocobo Race. Again just three Rules to follow.
      1) Place yourself on a large open Space. Far from any Obstacles. The Reason for that is, while dodging those Lightning Strikes, you'll always make a Step back. You don't want to be hindered by any Obstacles because it could hit you while you're near an Obstacle.
      2) Look for a Flash. It's a Sign that a Lightning Strike is about to happen. You can easily prepare yourself for it.
      3) Prepare yourself before starting that Mini-Game. Go pee, eat something, take a Dump....whatever, because it's time consuming. For sure.
      Once you mastered that it's far easier than it seems. That darn Butterfly Hunt on the other Hand, is really a Pain in the.....(cough)...well you know... 😓

    • @eduardourasaki
      @eduardourasaki 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TomSir79 You just need a map of the butterflies, it is quite hard to tell where they really are because of the camera, once I learn the route I got this minigame in a couple tries.
      The annoying thing about the chocobo races is the rng, most runs are impossible and only when the rng rolls and you get it right you complete it, It took me a few tries but not that much time.
      The lightning dodge is just the worst though, I got it after sessions of dodging 25 lightning bolts and taking a long rest of a couple hours before keep dodging again, It took me about 12 hours.
      Great game to platinum but I'll never do it again.

    But after a bit of consideration, I sincerely hope Rockstar offers him/her a job. Getting a job at Rockstar could potentially be a dream job for someone who took the personal time to figure out a loading optimization. I was going through a bad time once because of a game, it was super serious, I was having deep, traumatic mental episodes because of it, mostly due to microtransactions and ending up with what was effectively a gambling addiction, I rang up the developers and basically cried down the phone, asked them to permanently ban my account because it was either that or suicide to break free...
    They didn't do that but they did actually have a department that helped people like me and it was the most emotional feeling I've had in most of my life because a company actually had the facilities to help me get through something I'd caused myself by over abusing there system...
    However, that being said, it's very important that these companies take responsibility and try harder to limit microtransaction spending if they're adamant to keep it in the game.
