I had a game I think it was six, sixth one had a problem and bricked the game.....But not before I was invested and half way through, not going to lie never bought games from sierra again.

Legit read a post from Metacritic that stated there was no way anybody could have even accurately assessed TLOU2 at midnight the day of release. I get why some people were upset with that game, but it got shit on waaaaaaaaay too much mostly because people didn't "get what they wanted." I stand firm that TLOU2 is a masterpiece, and after playing it twice now there are so many small story details I missed the first time around just from subtle conversations that have a way deeper meaning by the end of the game.
Not quite, the positive reviews are still allowed immediately after the release, which makes this change also bias. It's got to work both ways equally to be fair... Also not every game needs to be played for 36hrs to realize that it's garbage and/or broken... Just another side of an argument...

Somebody made a mod that lets you use a virtual machine from inside the game so yes you can do everything you can do on a normal PC in minecraft... Including minecraft. Sadly the guy said that the way he synchronized (multithreading) it doesn't allow you to join the same server twice but that may be fixed by now.

MS Flight Simulator on 10 discs is not that excessive, considering the size. And some people (like me) without a truly reliable broadband connection would prefer the physical game. I recall installing some software back in the 90's that had 29 discs-- plus 6 more for "options." These were not games, but were on those little 3-1/2" floppies that took roughly 10 minutes each. 10 CD's? Not bad!
At this point, I think its fair to say that Star Citizen represents a Cult more than anything else. Yes, Wing Commander was a brilliant game for its day, but what has Chris Roberts actually fully developed in the intervening 20-odd years? No Man's Sky & Elite Dangerous-for all their faults-were able to launch on schedule on much smaller budgets.......& they've continued to keep their games maintained & routinely updated over the 4-6 years since launch. Star Citizen's multiplayer is still in Alpha, & the Single Player game is nowhere to be seen!

I don't have a problem with what Metacritic did with the wait time. It seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to do. Who is bothered in the slightest by having to wait a couple days to post their review? The only ones are trolls who are intent on review bombing. The only reason that is even remotely feasible, is that they want other people to have a less professional set of reviews to base their purchasing decision on. Suffice to say, I don't consider that a compelling argument.

And you had to constantly swap these bad boys if you hadn't invested in extra Floppy-Disc players, but even with 4 discplayers the swapping got ridiculous sometimes, like the devs had sprinkled the code over all 11 discs evenly.

No Man's Sky & Elite Dangerous-for all their faults-were able to launch on schedule on much smaller budgets.......& they've continued to keep their games maintained & routinely updated over the 4-6 years since launch. Star Citizen's multiplayer is still in Alpha, & the Single Player game is nowhere to be seen!

PS3 sucking SO hard was a fluke... & where Xbox (in general) is a great console line & Microsoft most definitely knows what's up- the fact remains that Xbox doesn't have the better lineup of games, & that's that. I'll take the console w/the better games & content over über tech of pure computing power but barely has any games any day of the week... & seeing as Sony just has the superior games & developer relationships it's just the way that shit goes...

It makes perfect sense that Gabe Newell would endorse the X-Box; their games would most likely have either a PC release or a license that works on both platforms. Even if they're not directly on Steam, those games could potentially lead to more PC gamers.

I don't have a problem with what Metacritic did with the wait time. It seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to do. Who is bothered in the slightest by having to wait a couple days to post their review? The only ones are trolls who are intent on review bombing. The only reason that is even remotely feasible, is that they want other people to have a less professional set of reviews to base their purchasing decision on. Suffice to say, I don't consider that a compelling argument.

hey star citizen backer here just wanted to say most high end games take about 4-8 years to come out especially ones that are breaking new ground in every way and started in basement with less than 15 people so cut SC some slack ;D

I had Monkey Island 2 on the Commodore Amiga which came on 13 disks (those were floppies though).

Monkey Island 2 & Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis on Amiga would like to have words with you.
And you had to constantly swap these bad boys if you hadn't invested in extra Floppy-Disc players, but even with 4 discplayers the swapping got ridiculous sometimes, like the devs had sprinkled the code over all 11 discs evenly.
Star citizen is coming together it's becoming an actual game from what I have seen but I wouldn't back it yet
