Hello from Australia! I was given this book as a gift from my hubbie when i decided to learn Amigarumi - and i love it! I am however a little stuck on Nessi with the 'chain 30' on the neck (round 19 for the head). Have been trying to find a tutorial from this actual book for each of the projects and cant seem to locate any. Any advice would be great and i am so glad i found your channel - your awesome!! ✨ Have a great day and stay safe 😊
Hey Suzanne!! I havnt made the Nessie pattern before but it looks like you make the chain and then sc back up it and around the rest of the current project (so you end up with a dangly bit going down). Then that becomes part of the round for the next rounds going forward. I hope that makes sense. If I can find any links that might help I’ll post them as well- let me do a bit of digging for you 😊❤️
I’m working on the baby dragon and I’m up to making the front legs but I think the front leg pattern is wrong at round 3 (it says I’m supposed to have 24 stitches at this point but I only have 20) and I don’t know what to do 🤣
I’m sorry I’ve just seen this!! Have you tried contacting the artist to ask for help? That’s what I generally do if I’m having issues with any patterns and more often then not they are super helpful! 🩷

So happy to be here! Thank you for your video. I’m new to Amigurumi and this is the first book I purchased. This book is beautiful! My only question is what yarn is used in the patterns? They show colors to use but not the brand or size used. I’d like to keep my project similar to what’s shown.
Welcome!! And I so hope you enjoy your Amigurumi journey! On each pattern in this book it gives you the yarn weight to use- for example, for little Peryton (page 69) it says use a sport weight yarn and the colours you will need. You can basically use any yarn you like as long as it’s that weight and as close to those particular colours as you want it to be. I think they’ve done it this way as everyone likes different brands and fibres so you’re not pressured into using just one type! Also because this book is a compilation of lots of different artists work they all would have used lots of different brands of yarn to make their individual works. I hope this helps! I’m terrible- I never use the recommended yarn weight and often completely change the colours! Just remember whatever yarn weight you use (if it’s different from the recommended in the book) to size down your hook slightly so you get really nice tight stitches! 🥰❤️

This was super helpful! I'm pretty new to crochet and haven't tried amigurumi yet. I think Nessie is my favorite but it's really hard to choose!
