I’ve had that book in my Amazon cart for awhile. Thank you for your review of the book! I hope you continue to review other amigurumi books, I’d love to hear your opinion! My favorites are the Pica Pau books, Amigurumi Treasures 1 and 2 and both books by Khuc Cay and the Cutest Crochet Creations Wonderful video as alway! ❤
Hi Rose 🌟 I definitely want to do more reviews on books. I have all the books that you mention, and 1 or 2 more that I should make more use of. Pica Pau remains my favourites, and I love Cutest Crochet Creations 💕 I should use my books more often, as I have a bad habit of buying a book 'just in case I need it'. I've got a few books that I have had for years, and never made a single pattern from 😳🙈
Always loved the patterns from One & Two company, and everything you lifted the bear it made me think of a stout version of Mr Beans Bear! 😀 very cute 😍
Hi Cassandra! I loved both of your projects, you always do a fabulous job! I have made the cow before out of this book and I didn't have any issues with it either. I think the body shaping throws people off, but I think it turns out okay. One of my favorites, Edwards menagerie, is like that where you use a basic body etc. I prefer how hers is set up where its separate from all the patterns at the beginning instead of referring to the "bear" for instance. Great review and now I want to make that reindeer 🦌 :)
Thanks Julie 💕 Can you believe that I've never made any of the Kerry Lord patterns. I really want to get the Edward's menagerie book, and she has a monster book where you can choose different heads and bodies. And she has a flower book coming out sometime that I really want 🤩
@@craftablyeverafter she is probably my favorite go to designers. I just love her, I have almost all of her books, and always enjoy making her patterns. They're so easy and work up so fast. The only thing I don't like is how small she decreases for the neck so I always change that. My very first video was about the monster book, my daughter's picked their parts. Lol I'm so excited for the flower monsters. When I first seen them circulating, I searched every where. I finally commented on a video and she told me that it was getting released early next year. Definitely will be purchasing that one :)
@@ksmomcrochets I watch this one youtuber (Crafty Cleggs Creations), and she is making all the birds from the 'Partridge in a pear tree' 12 birds of Christmas book. And even that looks amazing! My book wish list is even longer than my to-do list 🤣🤣
Hi Cassandra! First of all, I LOVE 🥰😍❤ Jessica's drawing at the beginning of the video. I love your feedback on the book 😍 I absolutely agree with you on the flipping back and forth being annoying, I believe Caroline also shares the same sentiment. But I think for me it was a price worth paying for all the varieties of animals and blankets/lovies that you can make from the pattern book. Oh the eyes! No matter how many amigurumis I make, I still make the mistake of forgetting to insert the safety eyes from time to time. Especially if the pattern does not specifically make mention of it 😆. I am definitely one of those people who does NOT read through patterns, and that's what I get 😅😆🙃 I love how your bear and reindeer came out, perfect as usual. I did not realize the author is the designer behind one and two company!! I own a couple of her patterns but have made only one so far and I don't remember much about it because it had been so long ago 😅. The rest are just waiting to be whipped up, you know how it is 😉 I also wanted to do a book review on this since I've made so many of the lovey patterns. However, I should have planned ahead, which of course I did not 🥲. But I figured, if I'm gonna do a book review, might as well do one on a book where I've made a bunch of patterns from so I can talk from experience. But honestly speaking, between NOT taking detailed notes and my poor memory, I don't have much to go on 😂🤣🙃 Thank you so much again for mentioning our channel😃, feeling the love ❤. I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos Cassandra! I can't get enough and I binge watch every so often, even though I've already watched them all😁 As always, thank you so much for sharing❤
Hi Gayle 💕 I am always amazed at your comments! It must take you days to comment on videos and then reply to comments on your own videos 😁 I would love to see you do book reviews! You always have such detailed explanations of patterns. I have gotten into the habit of reading through patterns, but mainly to see where I can change or adjust before I start 🤣 One day I am going to challenge you to a multi-craft toy-making challenge!!
Thank you for your scientific findings regarding this book. From what I saw, there is nothing to tempt me to buy this book. Not because it doesn’t look lovely, it’s just that I’m a more experienced amigurumi maker, and I now seek patterns that are either more challenging or quirky in some way. I would love you to do a video showing some of your other books and especially getting your views on your favourites.
Hi Marion 🌺 Yes, I am all about the science 🤣 For crocheters looking for a challenge, this book would be a little basic. It's fun for quick projects, but no special techniques or challenging additions. To this day, the Pica Pau books remain my favourite for interesting characters and various techniques. I am soon doing a book review on a doll book which is super detailed, and certainly more towards the experienced level of crocheter (this will be during the next book club episode, so keep an eye out 😁). But I think I will do some more stand-alone amigurumi book videos as well.
Your bear and reindeer are fabulous! I have a few of her patterns that I've bought individually on line, and I loved them. I have wanted that book for a while now. I must get it for myself. Thanks for sharing 🙂
I have this book too and was surprised to hear it has had negative feedback. I've just made the loveys, less sewing😉, and love the different options you have for the blankets. Your bear and reindeer are very cute.
Thanks Pamela 💕 I don't have a single Zoomigurumi book, which actually surprises me, because the patterns do look very adorable. I want get the last one, I think it's Zoomigurumi favourites. But in the end I probably will get the whole series 😁
Hi Kathleen 🌺 It was annoying, but not enough to stop me using the book again. I think the patterns are very cute (and very quick to make, which is a bonus).
I liked your review. I just bought Crochet You. I have not made a doll from it yet. But it is a lovely book of dolls dedicated to children of different ethnicities and physical impairment. If you are in to dolls, I would love to see one of your creations. You do such a nice job, and you are fast. I wish I could crochet faster as I have loads of books, too, and want to make them all.
Thanks Deborah 💕 I just saw Terri at Yarnjoy Poscast show that book 'Crochet you'. I thought it was such a lovely book, and I definitely want to get that one. I do make dolls every now and then, and do plan to work on a few dolls coming up. I have a few doll books that I have to pull out and make some projects from. I also wish I could crochet faster, I have a ton of things I want to make but can't get around to 😁

I absolutely love your experiments! Crochet science is the best! The bear and reindeer are adorable.

Happy you gave the book a try and enjoyed making your toys. They came out cute ❤
Thank you 🥰 But I will always love bears and reindeers 🦌🐻💕
They are sooo cute 😍 love the different shaped heads ❤
Thanks, Sam 🌺 I found their odd shaping very cute!
The amigurumies turned out beautiful.
Thank you, Shaundell 🌷 They were a lot of fun to make 😊
Aww, so adorable. Have been eyeing that book for a while.🧶👍🤗
Thanks Wendy 💕 I would say go for it, I enjoyed making them a lot. And the fact that you can make lovies and toys if you choose, I'd say worth it.

Hi Season 🌟 They definitely are quick, fun patterns. My crochet book wish list is sooooo long 🤣🙈

Love them,very cute!!!
Thanks, Linda 🌺 They are very cute! So quick that I will be making more of them 🐻🦌💕
Very cute amigurumi, I bought this book but haven't made anything out of it yet. Thank you for the tips.
They were a lot of fun to make, I was really pleasantly surprised 💕
I love those. The bear's face. 😍
I'm no expert but I have the Zoomigarumi Favourites book which looks easy to follow.

@@craftablyeverafter can I ask ... what's the best way to add white to the eyes? Is it a single strand you use at the side of the eyes?
@@GingerCatCrochet yes, exactly how I do it. And I use the same type of yarn I used for the whole toy.

I enjoyed this! Great idea
Hello Allison! Thank you ❤️ This was such a nice book to use.
Hi! Yes, the back and forth on the pages is a bit annoying, but I’ve made the frog and the hippo. I think it’s a good book also. Love your two toys!!

The back and forth definitely annoyed me too but the characters are adorable it’s a shame that element of the book lets it down, great review!
Thank you ✨️ It is annoying for sure, but luckily not enough to put me off the book completely 😁
I made her Milo the Reindeer. Emailed her when I encountered a problem and she replied within a day. Would like to make again.
Her patterns are lovely! I want to make her Glen the sweetie gingerbread man pattern at some point, he is so cute 💕
