I have owned my 2013 f4 for ten years, it’s an amazing bike to ride and been reliable.

This is a beautiful looking bike and knocks any modern bike out of park! Unfortunately MV has always had a reputation for poor reliability but this work of art needs to be parked in your living room and admired as you recommend.

As a long time owner of 2 of them, they are quite reliable machines.

I bought an MV in 2016. 40000km later the only issue I can recall is a bad temp sensor. Very reliable if maintained properly.

    Mate, are you for real?
The F4 is one hell of a bike for quick B road riding and is a total weapon on the road. How on earth can you say drain the oil and keep it in your lounge to look at! Yes, it’s drop dead gorgeous but they love to be ridden and fast. It’s not a commuter so why even try and score is as a commuter, totally not relevant.
This bike continues to put the biggest grin on my face with each ride. Parts are nowhere near as hard to obtain even with a limited dealer network even here in the UK.
Just get out, ride it and enjoy it mate, that’s what it was built for!

I so agree with you, drain the oil and park it? What??
It's like having a super model girlfriend but only go with her to bush walks so nobody can see them, and only playing cards and having book readings with her then going to sleep in clothes in different beds 🤣🤣

What a sad thing to end on; "Don't ever ride it again, because you'll never be able to get your hands on a spare part again.".
I completely get it of course. It's just sad to have something so desireable and not being able to use it for what it's designed for...!

If you think this sounds good with a cat on the exhaust you should try the f4 750 no cats not traction control, sounds amazing and the yellow analog tacho looks much better the the digital unit and the 750 has enough power for the road. As for the reliability, I have only had one issue in 17 years of owning and riding them. Nice review Sir.

Initially F4 750s, and F4 1000S and Tamburini up to 2006 were all equipped with axial front and rear nissin calipers. In 2006 there was the entrance of the F4 1000R with radial brembo brakes.
I personnally ride a 1000S (2006) with 6 pistons on each front caliper and 4 pistons on the rear one.
Regarding the brake power, the front is fairly good. But you have to pull hard on the lever to brake hard... I don't know if swapping the front master cylinder could change something... Anyway, I got used to it.
Concerning the rear brake, it does the job really well ! Even better than a Ducati 998 from the same aera or Panigale 1299 in my opinion ! Do not pull hard on the rear brake when pulling hard on the front brake otherwise I'll feel the rear end of the bike "drifting".
And for me the riding position is perfect for me. Much better than the Ducati 998. I did a 2.000km roadtrip with the bike (with fuel tank bag and backpack). I wasn't suffering during the ride. But yeah a bit of stretch is necessary after it.
"Drain all fluids and store it" You're crazy man ! I don''t want to ride anything else than my F4 or my Ducati 998. What I do hate about collector bike owners it's the fact they don't have to enough courage to ride it ! You'll expose the bike in your showroom once the engine is dead ! Not before !
These bikes shine on mountain pass once the suspensions are perfectly set for the rider and you learnt how to use the throttle and the chassis
Why complaining about a bike that doesn't have ride assist ? With a progressive learning curve of discovering the bike it's better than being fustrated by onboard electronics that will you make feel nothing... It's made for beginners (+200HP bikes with electronics won't be better than -200HP bikes with no electronics in terms of feeling)

I like how you describe the design.

It was always going to be a tough gig restyling a masterpiece. Unfortunately I still prefer Tamburini's original creation. I don't like the Bip on the F4 , should be mono. Also the paint work and styling is just not good enough.

    • @emadreviews
      @emadreviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

Agreed. But I’m glad they stayed as true as they could to his design rather than going full Japanese or whatnot. I have a 2010 MV Agusta Brutale 990R video coming up which is also an evolution on Tamburini’s design. Highly collectible !!! Yes, great bike to ride and does all well; BUT with its discontinuance, it instantly became highly collectible and prices will grow by leaps and bounds. MV F series are limited production and , if made in 2024 would top $32,000. Buy all you can and hold......
