    that mv agusta 750 came out when I was in high school,it was the cliche bedroom poster bike of wonder and wet dreams where as the aprilia never made sense to my younger self because it didn't make popping sounds and fill the air with glorious smelling smoke and the RS designation wasn't anywhere to be seen,so naturally the other poster bike was an RS250.thank you knee down Donny and Zoe for the clips on the awesome bikes of yesteryear.

  • @ReferenceFidelityComponents
    @ReferenceFidelityComponents 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Give me the Aprilia every time, in fact give me the Gen1 Aprilia...a real man's bike. Gruntier than a pig fed on beans and with that impeccable chassis. Better looking than later Gen2 bikes, more ergonomic, more natural feeling and better low down torque making it feel like a beast that would spit you off if you dared to prod the hog too hard. Lovely induction and engine sound made it addictive to ride and handling was sublime. Against the MV750 it was was better made, more reliable and would be gone before the MV had got into it's stride.
    I remember my first IoM experience, racing a Ducati 998 and a ZXR750 over the mountain. The gen1 RSV I was on left both for dead which came as a shock to them. Faster on the straight and turned quicker in the corners. The best riding experience of my life.
    The RSV is a classic and prices are steadily rising. Just buy one! One of the best road going superbike ever made.

I did test ride it but not rode it for 10-years because of a disc in my neck. I paid 2.400 for it and was worth every penny. I look at it most days wishing if only I could ride it. I’ve been on many super bikes but the power of the Aprilia is different and I dint mean to days bikes.

      Believe it or not...they aren't too bad. The V4 which is NOT a Rotax has expensive parts and far less reliable but the V2 the parts are fairly inexpensive and plentiful. My boss has a bunch of bikes, too. He's got an Agusta F2 and the parts are very difficult to find and the prices are astronomical. Frankly speaking, price on parts is not an issue when you buy a very expensive bike like this, you should know what you're getting into before the purchase. However, not being able to find parts is a serious problem. I have a few expensive bikes and the first thing that I look for is spare parts and OEM availability.
