Perfect, been looking for something like this. Already ahead of the game with training my grip with the two pound weight plate, always trying to create new and various ways to strengthen my grip.
Nice tiger moves. It is very important these traditional moves in real self defense or in a fighting situation to be adjusted to real fighting, make them shorter or longer depending on the opponent and make them more simple and faster. Then with this way they can be very effective in fighting.
The ferocity of this style seems to match up well with my personality; I wish there was an agressive "Phoenix style" of martial art, but tiger seems just about right for me.
A great Shaolin training is gripping firewood and stacking...develops wrist, forearm and grip. A while back..got into a tiff with someone....my tiger grip ripped his shirt right off...fight over without undue violence....
i wacthed a bunch of Shaolin tiger training vids then I found u I followed ur tips for 2 weeks and now I can beat up all the bullies who tried to fight me
I searched this up because I needed a fighting style for a fictional character I’m working on. This is just their style and fits their personality perfectly, thank you!
Hung Ze Qua you almost estimated correctly, at one o'clock my weak point is always down below. But now I have learned to move my weak point at will and at three o'clock my weak point is up top. The Priest Pai Mei🐯🐯🐯
Not an export but this has got to be grate for Blood vessels and arteries, Mainly good hart function, Also there is one tiger exercise within my white Crain and chikung training, would this compromise my Crain practice? Also you said Tigers arnt native to china, Buddhist often traveled a lot, Was tiger stile brought to china by a Buddhist on his travels?
My sifu has always taught us that each animal form is different and unique and you must approach your training of each technique with that in mind. When practicing tiger you must be explosive and powerful channel the animal through your movements. Same for the rest of the animals. You must recognize that none of them move the same way or think the same way, so as long as your not practicing your crane like you would tiger you shouldn't be hindered in any way
master good morning I am a practitioner of karate cn 3 dan but I have been fascinated by kung fu in particular the tiger style for a long time and I would like to practice it I am in Italy in monza exactly I am 55 years old and as I told you for 30 I have been practicing shotokan style karate. you who advise me to follow my passion or am I too old? thank you teacher, I've been following you on your channel for a while now.
You can use 4 inch plumbing pipe to develop your grip. A piece of it about 2 or 3 feet long and drill two holes in one end of the pipe. Pass a long string through the holes and tie a big shopping bag onto it. Start filling the shopping bag with bottles of water. Now grab the end of the pipe and hold it up. Then put some grease or oil around the pipe and try holding it up. This will develop your grip. As your grip improves add more water bottles to the shopping bag and make it harder to hold up the pipe with a shopping bag of water bottles.
When you showcased all the grip-strength training exercises, I thought I was gonna see some limb-catching moves, maybe pressure-point squeezing, or scratching or gouging moves. If all the style has you do with the Fu Jow hand position is palm-strike, the crimping of the fingers seems needlessly dangerous and the training exercises seem like busywork. Is there stuff that specifically uses the finger crimping? I apologize if my question seems tedious. I'm just some idiot scrolling TH-cam when he should be sleeping. Thank you in advance if you answer, Sifu.
Thanks for watching. This is both a great comment and observation. The crimping and grip strength portion is to strengthen and condition the tendons for the type of motion that you want to perform. Tiger does have many of the techniques that you describe, pressure point, tearing, gouging, and joint manipulation. The video itself is just some of the basics but will be adding more videos that will cover those topics as well. Thank you for the great feedback. I appreciate it.
Pretty good video you got but I got to say Mountain climbers have some of the strongest finger strength there is I actually sing them suspend them selves from the ceiling grabbing two small Pegs only using your two fingers and thumb Plus a pretty good thing to use if you have a Empty 5 pound Can of protein powder And fill it up with pennies
Tiger is my top favorite animal style of kung fu

"This style of Shaolin Kung Fu is in my opinion" the most powerful style of all the animal forms"!
Not necessarily. There's eagle claw and dragon awaiting
@@AbdulRehman-ch4kw dont forget about leopard and panther techniques
I would say tiger, dragon, eagle are powerful & very deadly.. when used..

Phoenix style does sound pretty cool. Thank for watching
@@sifudunng7117 I idolize Phoenix's in general for their metaphorical symbolism; A martial art based around that would be awesome.
That it would!
If eagle style did exist, I imagine it would be similar to eagle claw.
Phoenix-Eyre Fist. A Shaolin fighting art of South China by Draeger. In this book it is called Chuka Shaolin.

They each have their advantages. Depends also on if you lean toward internal or external more. Thanks for watching.

Great Instruction! Thank you!
How affective do you think Tiger balm actually is for applying after knuckled or shin conditioning?
Typically Tiger Balm is good more for sore muscles. For conditioning Dit Da Jow is probably better as long as the skin is broken.
Thank you I have just wrote this down.

Is this good for fighting
Striking with finger tips damages one's eye sight due to acupoints
Excellent!
I'd probably try to use the weights while on the floor to put the fingers and wrist into more of a tiger claw while doing pushups. just a thought.
