    The chutny we make GSB konkani style is called "Ghosale (Ridge gourd) sheera (peels) chutny. We first fry black pepper corns abt 1-1.5tsp in ghee along with jeera and skin peels , thn add half cup of fresh coconut along with tamarind and fried items, salt and lil jaggery, grind to smooth paste. It tastes awesome. We have it atleast once s week, even kids love this chutny. Had heard my grand ma saying, this I d good for ladies... Never knew the background. Thanks for such wonderful info.

    Thanks for tips . My concern is the omega 6 (oil) sources for chutney or chips. Can you add on that please any time you mention deep fried foods.
    We South Indians prefer banana chips fried in coconut oil only . Not easy to find in stores. I find Palm , cotton seed or sunflower seed oils is so dangerous for lipid profile.

      Coconut oil is now sold in supermarkets here in Hyderabad- cold pressed and normal oil, that are edible oils not the ones for external uses. Where I live, after COVID several shops have set up cold oil pressing machines and sell the oil too. Both coconut and sesame oil are sold there. Pls look out for such outlets in your area

    1:55 I can’t believe this might be happening beyond my home 😮😮
    My mom has complained all her life that dad turns off the AC per his convenience and also turns on light at 3-4 am w/o caring that it’s affecting my sleep. On the other hand if mom does exactly that, toh bass para garam ho jaata hai.. with loud anger in sleep itself

  • @kanchr7537
    @kanchr7537 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    The other reason why it is sometimes better to sleep in a different bed is husband thinks he is helping out by hugging me tight. I could literally feel the heat of another body being transferred into my body and it makes my hot flashes even worse. The feeling that heat is trapped is something that can't be explained . I need ample space between us for the air to flow in.

    In Mauritius the gourd is called ‘pipangaille’ and our grandmothers made chutneys with its boiled peels with fried salted fish flakes. I do eat whenever there is a season. Banana chips is also loved by Mauritians.

    Rujuta I love your knowledge. I really appreciate if you can put the name of vegetables you say in Marathi in English or Hindi or screen. As when you speak it's fine taking the name in Marathi otherwise it will obstruct your flow of thoughts.

    Thank you. I hope you can make some videos on what to eat for autoimmune condition too. Your videos on improving gut health is very helpful 👍. I request you because some of the Indian foods can not only improve n reverse these autoimmune conditions sometimes.

    Hello Rujuta.
    Thank you so much for this video.
    I have been wanting to know what to do.
    What you said about these symptoms and our reactions to the situation are ABSOLUTELY TRUE.
    I have a few doubts.
    1. We are in Kerala where coconut (raw) is used on a daily basis for cooking. Medium of cooking is coconut oil. Is it then necessary to use kopra (dry coconut) as barfi? Or can we have raw coconut in sabzi or with sugar?
    2. The vegetable is called dhari wali turai/ ridge gourd. We make chutney of the dhari. But til is not added. Can I have til ladoo instead?
