      I fear she's not only the 'ringleader' as you say. but that she used Morgan's mental illness as her weapon.
      While Morgan has always had issues, they did not appear to get into dangerous territory till Weier arrived on the scene.
      "Bella" never trusted Weier yet was perfectly fine with Morgan ....

      Difficult for a parent to accept that their child isn’t well and swallow their pride enough to present their child for an assessment. Imagine how scary it is to get the report from a doctor saying that their child is crazy. A parent will conveniently resort to anger and resentment and abuse the child to push them away, due to detachment. The child will look to other things to attach to. If the child understands that their parents can’t be proud of them, they’ll return the resentment because they see other healthy relationships between kids and parents and rebel against their own. It’s like fighting fire with fire. And then if the parent eventually pursues help for their child without a heartfelt discussion to help their child understand that the parent wants the best and things will get better with finding answers, the child will shift their confused perspective to grandiosity and manipulate the parent into considering that they subpar in the child’s life. At some point, it’s so late in the child’s development that the child has developed their own relationship with their world and the parent is left to compensate exponentially to reform their connection to their child. Anyone can change for the better, but also for the worse. Any person needs evidence to utilize conviction that they have a support system and hurting others for short term gratification won’t get them anywhere positive. They’re simply on the defense all the time and ready to hurt others before they sustain any further pain than they already have. A child’s brain is highly intelligent and sensitive to everything they see and hear and physically feel. Remember a time you questioned a trusted major influencers behavior and you’re waiting for their next move to determine the amount of trust you can place on them. Remember feeling that anxiety when you had no one to turn to that could relate and understand? Very scary to be a child that’s subjected to the cruel and selfish things things adults do. I was one of them. My whole family was dead by cancer and suicide by the time I was in my mid-twenties. I’ve struggled with detachment from society and feeling positive and trusting in people. I’ve learned to use a degree of vulnerability to show others that I have feelings and values, to remind them that they can, too, so they’ll draw from those intimate moments with me when deciding how to go about conducting themselves to reinforce our mutual trust. People remember how you make them feel. Make them feel good and safe, and they’ll feel urged to return the favor. They may betray you, but everyone takes a little work to help them determine how to adjust their attitude and perspective. Really, a betrayer causes more real loss to themselves than their betrayed.

      Schizophrenia has been shown to present itself as a sort of playful imaginary friend among tribal societies, making for eccentric behaviors that are completely safe for others, but may cause them to wander into danger haphazardly and get themselves killed by wild animals.
      It says something about our society when schizophrenia here presents itself as a waking nightmare of fear and delusion, as if the way we live is just that much more absurd, bleak, and sinister.

Nonetheless, even though found not guilty, they got 25 years to life and 40 years to life respectively. For attempted murder, not murder. What those girls did to their friend is so incredibly creepy. The twelve-year-olds act like twelve-year-olds and then run off and stab their friend and attempt to kill her is just unnerving. The punishment they received is also very unsettling. One girl has to be away from society for 40 years and the other one already got out of prison. That doesn't make any sense. You know, it probably is kind of important to keep kids who are too young from being exposed to some stuff. Morgan seemed to know about all kinds of stuff she shouldn't have known. I really doubt that's good for a young mind. I feel sorry for all three of those girls, but especially for Payton. What do you expect to happen when you let your kids just learn about anything and everything, especially when they're interested in the absolute horror and gore? Maybe she had a mental illness first... and maybe it got worse, or even was manifested when she was exposed to whatever it was she was looking at on the Internet. She really believe Slenderman existed! & I don't think that's necessarily because she was schizophrenic. It was because she was 12. Well, live and learn. Honestly, her family is probably relieved she has to be in the mental institution after she did that. I hope more parents realize that you have to watch what your kids are doing and not let them be exposed to things that will hurt them or even cause them to go insane.

    • @WildWombats
      @WildWombats 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      if it wasn't slenderman, it would've been something else. Their mental illness is the issue here. My thought is, whether they had access to internet or not, these girls were very troubled. It was a ticking time bomb. She used slenderman as her excuse, but she had no reason whatsoever for why she actually murdered her friend other than, "She had to." I doubt never experiencing slenderman would change that scenario from happening. Even if it didn't happen at that exact time or person, I believe it would be a ticking time bomb before "she just had to" murder someone. People with her level of schizos have random urges of violence. The justification for it is irrelevant. It would happen with or without slenderman. We can sit here and say maybe she wouldn't have ever murdered if not for slenderman, but I think that's a far shot personally, I think without mental treatment, she would have eventually done it regardless from a compulsive urge. Just look at other cases of schizo where people murdered. It's not usually due to "they found somethign on the internet." No, it's usually their own head that brings them to commit those acts. 99% of people who read such things don't commit these acts. Only people prone to committing them would.
      I won't disagree young kids probably shouldn't be on the internet anyways since most things "technically" want you to be 13+ to access webpages and make accounts, but I also don't think the internet "caused" this either. I think she was a tickign time bomb, and I think her mental illness was the core issue here.

      Schizophrenic criminals getting together is much less likely than the examples you are giving which are all mainly people with anti-social personality disorder. You are using a false equivalence and conflating schizophrenia with ASPD. Schizophrenics are suffering from a mental illness where they are delusional and aren't perceiving reality correctly. People with ASPD, however, suffer from no such problem and know exactly what they are doing. Regardless, like-minded people will always find each other because they will slowly reveal more of themselves as they get more comfortable and push boundaries to see what the other accepts.

    I've had schizophrenia symptoms since I was like 5 and I'm lucky I didn't end up like this or worse with how badly the disease fucks up reality. People like Syd Barrett and Wesley Willis are like the Chrischan for me as a schizophrenic in that I'm terrified I could end up like that one day, but there's a real chance there unlike with Chrischan and people with ASD. One thing to remember with schizophrenia is that the person isn't trying to be malicious or evil or anything just for shits and giggles. They're trying their best to make sense of a distorted reality the brain shit the bed trying to make. Especially if you have childhood schizophrenia. Even in some cases, a premeditated murder is actually a result of delusions and paranoia that made the person think they were acting defensively to protect themselves. Some of the kindest and nicest people I've known have schizophrenia and have it under control with medication.
    Fun fact, people going through psychosis from something like schizophrenia typically don't fail a variation of the A-O test that psychiatrists do, unless it's an extremely severe episode. (E.g. what is your name? what state are we in? what year is it? why are you here? what is this [pick a very common]object?) That stuff is thought to be the last to fully be lost in orientation and is more often useful for gauging things like dementia and drug use. But it's still useful in ruling out how severely the person is mentally out of it in any case.

      @AnnemarieMay 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You have done very well controlling it. I know Schizophrenic people are not all evil people. I know heaps of really nice Schizophrenic people who are OK if they take the decide needed to feed their brain certain nutrients it needs so it can work like it was meant to work. I took care of my only sibling who had paranoid schizophrenia, a really bad form of it. At first I was so scared of him because we had been separated as a result of dysfunctional family, since child. When he tried to talk to me and his thinking made no sense to me and he'd grt angry with me for not listening properly you him, I'd get very anxious, as I an Bipolar, myself but I soon learned to use my imagination to try and tune into his strange mental reality. So when he'd talk really weird stuff about plans about what we needed t o do as the only 2 last remaining survivors of our family, like 2 lost children in the woods, I just listened, agreed, added my own crazy suggestions to his plans for how we would survive in this evil world alone, no help from anybody, everybody hating us because we were 'different'. I was Bipolar moody, but not out of touch with reality. I knew I was talking imaginary crap, just yo soothe him, help him feel less stressed. After a while, I got used to doing this and we could even go out together to shows, clubs etc and have fun and the crazy thinking seemed to get more normal, less frequent. This really did work. I found it best to never ever contradict the reality he was experiencing, even though I knew it was very peculiar, deranged. Like, eating at McDonalds once he asked me if I could taste or smell a strange sound he could. Obviously, my imagination wasn't as powerful as his Schizophrenic one. So I just casually replied 'Yeah, it's strange taste... What do you think it is? I think it smells like, I don't know... Never smelled any perfume or anything like it...' I'd carry on talking such absolute crap and soon the weird thinking g would settle down again. I became fascinated with how one person's Scizophrenia could expand the more li.ited I.agination of even a creative Bipolar, like me. Just because you have a mental health diagnosis doesn't have to be the death sentence society tries to make it feel like. You can still lead a good, full life and csn be a great asset to society. Just avoid people who don't believe in your goods. Unfortunately, in this politically correct, very discriminatory era, that will be most of modern society, sadly. Good luck with keeping mentally healthy and remember that good physical health also is necessary if you want to stay mentally fit, sane, healthy. Proper nourishing food, heaps of pure clean water, lay off 'substances', like drugs, alcohol and even some other foods and drinks that can affect the brain, that most think are healthy. They are for some people, but not us. It varies from person to person but you can soon pick these bad foods, by studying how uour mood alters after eating them. They must affect our brain chemistry, I think. Like sugar is bad news for Bipolars, who crave bucket loads of it, for the energy high it gives, but then come crashing down into depression once it wears off, plus it stacks on the body fat, causing even more depression. Staying under cont t ol of what you consumes, what uou do, your environment, who you mix with is the key to good mental health, I discover😢ed, by trial and error. It really does work but it takes a lot of determination, self discipline and hard work. But it's worth because the alternative is unthinkable. Sadly, many end up there, in a dark, bad place, like jails, mental health institutions they could have avoid, with a bit of knowledge, g8uidance and self discipline to keep on top of their mental health issues independently. But, if you have Schizophrenia or out of control Biplar or Depression, you do need your meds. They are like the missing food your poor starving brain has to get, to remain alive and healthy. So, make sure you feed it the correct prescribed meds..

Be careful of what your kids consume through their mouth, eyes and ears. The 1st 8 years of a childs development is crucial. Be present and be aware as parents. I cured myself from mental illnesses that run into my family. I cured myself of traumatic things that happened to me when I was a kid into my young adult hood. I tell myself before I leave the home that I’m loved, safe and if anything occurs to remain calm because I can handle it! I go out into the world with a positive mind set and I ignore ignorant people but I’m always aware of my surroundings. Start going out for 5 mins. Even if it is just outside you home. Eventually walk for ten minutes while enjoying the sounds of birds or gaze at trees or plants. Enjoy the beauty and soon enough you’ll be spending time out there. If you have a friend you love hold their arm or hand. Eventually you’ll see that most of your fears have nothing to do with you as a person. Sometimes we hide from what our loved ones did to us or what was done with them. I’ve cured people with height issues by reassuring them they are okay and by making them laugh at their silly thoughts that are not even close to possibly happening to them especially when they have someone guiding them that they trust. You got this you always did you just needed someone to tell you!

They made me laugh and cry in a good way because they are saving lives and not just Foxes. I started to venture out and meet people and started filming again and creating content for a famous Dancer that is changing the world for the best! We are all needed out there in the real world because we all have gifts that we can share with others. We can all make a change for the better!
