- The Oilers have been a safe haven for players with questionable character for years. Considering their lack of cap space, the signings were defensible and part of a strategy. However, their recent GM hiring was baffling. He is incompetent, and the Oilers are already suffering the consequences of his appointment.

What do you think will be the result of these offer sheets? Do the Oilers let both players walk? Do they sign one, and sacrifice the other?

Yeah let them walk! Take the draft picks and use the available cap to bring in 1 more defense. Put Kane on Ltir. Use that cap to fill another forward!

This might not be an attack against Oiler fans, but to say our organization is the "most hated" for giving people who concertedly try and turn their lives around is hypocritical! People mess up, but if they at least try and do the work to get better, then yes they deserve a second chance. And if that pisses you off, then so be it.

Well put. Many people hate the Oilers because they have the best player in the world. Petty jealousy. Leaf fans have always hated any team with a superstar like Crosby, Gretzky, Lemieux, Stamkos, and a number of others simply because they did not play for Toronto. Now they have Matthews who has led the team to an early golf season every year. Obviously they hate Edmonton for playing into June. Now everyone has to hate them because of Bowman. Or is it Kane ? Or is it Perry ? Why do people think that “their” team is the best there has ever been and is denied the Cup through conspiracy. Every year there is one winner and 31 losers.

nice video. I realized something new while watching this. I've been on the fence about "If the Oilers had to keep one person, who would you choose?" Now I'd choose Holloway, it keeps that speed up. It sucks to lose a guy like Broberg, especially when he's just starting to look solid. But for 4.5 M? He's just not worth that price tag yet.

If there is one thing I would love for Canucks fans to take away from Oilers fans, it is their loyalty to players. Canucks fans turn on their own way too easily and often.
As an Oilers fan, I agree with everything. Leave Bowman aside, they were 2 goals away from a cup with THIS team. Did they really need to get rid of so many players and change so many things? Everyone was drooling over Jeff Jackson's decisions, but it seems that no one thought about how old and slow the team just got thanks to all of his "amazing" decisions.
