    What a great lesson. You are the only person of many I have watched who has talked about angle.
    Thank You,
    Grateful Aussie.

    Mahalo Todd angle is a great way to explain ,,,, hit the line go foward. One segment teach golfers to rake the bunker after trying to get out 3=4 times. lol.ETIQUETTE

    Great stuff Tim ! Good refresher for those us who have been to camp or short game school . It’s all about angle . Or as you would say “ stick the club in your ear “ !!

    Definitely a great video. Noticed that the hands definitely don't fit the single plane swing idea. Also would love a dedicated video on the "hardpacked sand" issue AND one on the fairway bunker problems in light of Single Plane Golf Swing. Ball position, address, etc. While I understand context, this video almost indicates that we setup the old horrible two plane style for sand, and that's a troubling concept.

    Tim mahalo for such a great demonstration!!! Your technique has worked well for me as our bunkers are deep.

    Thanks for the mini-lesson. The one aspect of my game that has been dreadfully lacking. I'd be ecstatic if my ball hopped out and landed two inches from the bunker fringe, let alone got out.

    So a bunker shot is quite exactly the opposite of a low spin drive. Like the two ends of the spectrum in terms of body turn and arm action

    This is a great Video on how to get out from a bunker with plenty of sand. The bunkers on my home course are an absolute disgrace. They are all hard packed with about 1/4 inch of sand with haed dirt underneath. I have resorted to hitting out sideways or backwards. Can you offer me some advice on how to overcome this problem. Proper maintenance at my club is a forgotten word

    I swear by the club called "Sandy Andy" that Moe Norman used. I have one and sand shots and close chipping are easy to do. I would suggest buying one if you can. Graves Golf might help you. 👏👏👏👏

    Great explanation in playing out of dry sand Todd, but dry sand is rare to find in Scotland, our bunkers are more like clay! Downfall of this video clip is that you can't hear the questions asked by you class that attended your drill!

    Great lesson on bunkers The best yet. How much lateral movement is there in a quick steep angle swing as you propose?

    New to the method, thanks Tim for clarifying that position 1 is a couple of inches behind the ball. I was reluctant to give up my conventional bunker swing as it works pretty well. I will put this instruction and practice to good use shortly. Creating angle is okay but as far as body movement, I used to use torso rotation to "power" the swing.(Quiet hands, arms and legs.) Do we stay true to the SPS method or ?

    • @Sueezedtight
      @Sueezedtight 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I spent 30 min in a bunker practicing the method. It will take some getting used to, especially the confidence part because doubting that it is as effective as my conventional method will not be good for the result. Still, it does work and I will apply it in practice as I don't get more than 1 or 2 sand shots per game.

    Does this approach holds true to a bunker side that is hard pan?

    • @nards656
      @nards656 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doesn't seem like it does, based on his comments toward the end. However, it's not legal to test the sand, so that's frustrating. One can tell a lot, tho, by "legally" testing sand nature with your feet as you "dig in"to set your stance.
