      He even told his students not to believe everything he said but use their own critical thinking. Not many teachers do that.

    There is only the now. All experiences take place here. Any memories of the past are always observed in the now. The future only becomes a reality in the now. A sequence of memories of the past in the mind create an illusion of time that really does not exist. The one who observes this is who you really are.

    14 years ago I realised if I wanted to stay in France and live quietly and simply I needed to remain and accept a situation that allows me to stay here but I am always in the 'now' and ignore the cage because I have freedom within my cage. 🕊️🕊️

    I love jk ever since i came across of him 30 years back he is the architect of my brain literally.
    Only difference between JK and Bhagawan Ramanar's teaching is JK speak about the ultimate Truth everytime to the mass whereas Bhagawan consider one's nature, age, maturity, level of interest, worldly duties etc and then guide him thru silence rarely by words. We are blessed to have both enlightened Masters . Our efforts will halt at some place, we have done with in the path of realization., now we have to surrender completely and sit quietly for their grace to lighten our path to pathless land. What I am now is a thought; what I was is also a thought. The thought of having a future is a thought that happens right now, and all of those thoughts are supported by a feeling that complements the thought of "I AM." However, the problem of "I AM" is the problem of separateness, which leads to the thought, "I AM; therefore, I must fade into nothingness just like every other life form into death." But if there is no real separation, that must mean that I will go on and on without an end.
    The feeling of "I AM" consists of thoughts, feelings, concepts, ideas, form, and a consciousness that is aware of all of this. The content of consciousness is past memories, the feeling of now, and the thought of the future, all happening now. Thus, the same feeling of now becomes the feeling of timelessness.
    And who is going to die? Well, who are you? You're not really alive, are you? Thoughts, feelings, and ideas can't be you because you can observe these things. Yet, it is absolutely necessary to accept these things as yourself and love these sensations as they are, to integrate them fully and lovingly into your consciousness. Otherwise, there would be an "I" inside your consciousness that would say, "I don't like this other thing happening in the same consciousness I live in, so I fight it and it fights me."
    Now, integrate the fact that there will always be a feeling of "there is something missing" or "I don't like that." As long as you're fighting that very thing you don't like and not accepting it fully as it is, you're essentially an enemy to yourself. You, as consciousness, split yourself into two things: one part says it doesn't like the other, leading to complete self-destruction.
    But when there is full acceptance of what you don't like, and you even accept the fact that this feeling of "bad" might never leave, and you still choose to accept it, that means full self-acceptance and self-love. There will be no more fight or need for self-improvement because, finally, you're realizing your completeness. You accept that the content of your consciousness includes both order and chaos, and you allow both to exist. This is peace. This is self-realization.
    But maybe it's just a mere fantasy coming from a mortal brain using a body and hands to write this down, self-realizing that this comment won't help anyone but is just a happening happening to no one but itself. Yet, this brain that writes this is in real peace, and maybe some other brain also wants a bit of that same peace. Maybe this other brain will find some peace in this comment. Who knows?

      Yes, obviously "this bad may never leave" and all efforts to get rid of it are 'becoming' and 'self improvement'. Dissatisfaction.
      So, don't think. Cease labelling. Don't even say, "I accept this". Don't try to do anything.
      Being already Is.

    Every time I listen to Krishnamurti and pay close attention, my mind settles down. Then it becomes active again. Then the same thing happens. Anyone able to get past through that stage?

    • @filip5
      @filip5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yeah, the next step is to listen to oneself, to pay the same kind of close attention to activity of one's mind. See that such activity is having an idea of itself and tries to act on that idea. Be aware of that movement, no matter what the content, and the movement comes to an end, for lack of content.

    • @Gent778
      @Gent778 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      If you are watching your brain getting active then that’s all there is to it! The fact that you can see what your brain is doing is part of real meditation.

    • @Gent778
      @Gent778 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Question the part of the brain that wants something more than seeing the fact that your brain becomes active when you stop listening to K. Our illusory egos tend to make things complicated, something we have to figure out. Every time you see a fact about yourself, let it go. Keep on living the ‘crooked’ way and keep paying attention.

      You need to remain CHOICESSLY AWARE with your content in the NOW - with your fear sorrow anxiety pleasure etc. Attention is the fire.

    The opening lines to T. S. Eliot's poem, FOUR QUARTETS:
    Time present and time past
    Are both perhaps present in time future,
    And time future contained in time past.
    If all time is eternally present
    All time is unredeemable.
    What might have been is an abstraction
    Remaining a perpetual possibility
    Only in a world of speculation.
    What might have been and what has been
    Point to one end, which is always present.

    When we understand that "now " is our state,and "time",as past,present and future is our own creation because we have an agenda to " become" something foreign,what we are not,then,there is a possibility of exploration in this direction.Only an entity who comes to the functional state of " non- action",which is the right action,can comprehend " remaining in the now ",else,all of us are in the momentum of oscillating between past and future,with brief pauses in what we think is the present, frenzied action which only takes us away from our state !!!

    When he says that the future is now, that is confusing, because he doesn't qualify it. Certainly future technological advances are not now. What he means is that what you are now psychologically will remain so and continue into the future unless change takes place now.

    Naturally is the past and the future in the now, because we can only exist in the now with our consciousness and not in the past or future, just like the universe which is part of ourselves and only exists within our own consciousness for us.
    It is mankind that created the past and the future, as much as time, without it there would be no future nor past.
    What is there so difficult to understand it is logical, I don't know why he is going on and on about it.
    I live in the present and carry the past and future within my consciousness, without thinking I am anything superior.
    Naturally are we all living in the present, because there is no time in the universe, time is manmade in the universe only exists the present.
