'Show me how to dissolve the ‘I’, the ‘me’. Without that, everything else is futile.'
This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.

The ego or ‘self’ wanting to dissolve itself IS the issue here, because it can’t. The dog chases its tail, fire can’t burn itself (as Watts said), and so on.
I have a peer who spent a decade in a monastery, meditating 10-18 hrs per day, 7 days a week for the entire 10 years. One day he was sitting down to meditate and he had the sudden realization ‘there is no ‘you!’. It just came over him out of nowhere. He went and told the Maharishi, who looked at him and said ‘you’re done.’ But he didn’t want my friend telling anyone.
My friend told me ‘enlightenment is the sudden, permanent, and complete dissolution of the ‘I’ thought, and it certainly can’t be attained by effort.’ (For the reasons mentioned above). He said it just happens to some people…..Thought just stopped completely. He met a handful of enlightened people in his life, and one of them (an old Burmese monk) told him true enlightenment is just a ‘happy accident.’ He said meditation *might* make you ‘happy accident prone’, but otherwise it couldn’t be achieved by effort.
The only thing to really understand is, as Watts liked to say, ‘Tatvamasi’ (that art thou), or ‘you’re it.’
You are already God, and so is absolutely everything in the universe. The more you seek it, the more you’ll miss it, because it’s you, and what’s right in front of you, in the eternal present moment. 😊

    1. There is either self or love.
    2. Self is isolation.
    3. Love can't be cultivated.
    4. Love shall dissolve self.
    5. Be aware of tricks of thought.
    6. Let love be in your inner being all the time.
    7. Perhaps being sensitive to each and every thing in other shall bring connectedness and 'me' shall vanish!
    8. Be love.
    9. Complete negation is a positive action.
    10. Just see the action of 'me' ! Just see!

I do think you need a symbol to break through the self-separation. That's what all the symbols of the world's religions are about: Jesus, Buddha, Krishna. Images that can interrupt the self-isolating activity of the mind and completely blow it open.

A famous Speaker told Once The word of the thing is not the Thing . He preaches the Advaita Vedanta Oneness of the existence.
My point is that there are separate sensations feelings emotions and experiences among every creature in this world . We the humans after accuaring language gave this separateness a specified thought which is
      "Me or Self " .
It is the Language Only for the capacity of expression we humans have Only so far which I know .
      So If it is that
Then whether we gave the specified thought or not gave the Thought of Me or Self
The separation, The defferetion of feelings emotion's experiences from each one and Other are still there . Is it not so ?
A Child who is very small can't speak, he has also likes and dislikes feelings emotions he or she cries differently laugh's on different event just because they don't have language to express they can't say this but they can show the emotions. Which proves it's not about the word but the individual ness of One which is separate and Different .
Look at the animals . Which thought or language of Me or Self do they have ? But still they feel experience differently. If the Language is the Only barrier from you and me then why not the animals are "One"?
And by Language I meant Thought of Me or The Self Obviously.
anyone knowledgeable Share the answer of my Q. Please.
      Thank you.

I noticed that there are some here who say that he has not answered the question. But after watching the video, I say he has answered it most beautifully. One needs to understand, that some answers cannot be spoonfed to you. Even if that were possible, you still may lack the understanding. Book reading and casual listening just wont cut it. In the spiritual journey, you are more or less alone. You have to make the effort to experience what you have read and heard from others for yourself. Only then will you bloom in your understanding.

Do your everyday shores: work hard, take care of your kids, play with them, put them to sleep, be a loving wife, take care of the shores at home, and before going to sleep, with the little time you'll have left, pray a little. I think he answered it perfectly well. The way to dissolve the "I" is not limiting it's expression to a few we perceive as sacred, but to negate every such expression. And the process for doing that required tremendous attention. Love is another way of achieving the same thing. Persistent self-enquiry, and self-surrender. Beautifully put.

When there is no sense of isolation, then the other, perhaps is, And then the self is not. When that is, then the other is not. The self is also holy, but only when it’s in its place-otherwise it is the master and will spoil your life. That is, you are not identified with the self, hence centring the self into what is called self-centeredness. The self comes last in the order of truth. First there is “I” (the unnameable). Then comes “me” (the body). And then last you have the “self” (the memory). You make love with “I” and “me”, not “self”. Hence the saying.

This is essential for the one who takes seriously Krishnamurti teachings. If one has really realice the depth of the fact that the observer is nothing more than that which he observes, you can "hold" the self in your hand. Its nature became so clear. Then death of the selfs starts, or the dissolve of the self, with all its images, fears, ansieties, and surely confusion and misery. Its not easy what follows; to renounce to everything that thought has put together, but cames as absolutly necesary and full of dignity, and probably pain but reliefe as well. Actual freedom and liberation starts. The more effort and energy you have had put on building a certain image (as physical aspect, a certain status economic, social, spiritual, knwolodge - expertise, education, or whatever) makes the liberation a bit harder and with more suffering, but there is not turning back on that one. As you actually realize than the whole misery and confusion of ones life cames to an end, step by step.
Havent found much about the "process of dissolution" of the self by krishnamurti, but you dont needed actually. Its a process full of beauty, solitude and implies confronting with ones world, cause there are demands and pressure of the context (people that deppends on you, economic, etc), which cames as kind of difficult. All this makes me realize how hard it must been for Krishnamurti to face all this, such an incredible responsability, with people going in their own egoistic way following idiotic and trivial, insignificant things. It actually made me cry deeply.
Truth is actually something dangerous, there is no turning back when you realice in the deep levels all of this. But we can reach this state of emptiness, without understanding what is eternal. So, at some point, humanity will reach this point, and a new society might came to be. Theres only the need that a few go all the way so human counciesness can fundamentally change. I hope there are other that had taken Krishnamurti this seriously, cause the "process" is full of beauty, dignity and extraordinary necesary cause we must see that we are entirely responsable of all the violence in the world. An enormus violence.

    • @whollylife
      @whollylife 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I'd say it is more of a release, and the only reason there is no going back is because as soon as you understand there is another way of living, the truth to your life, the notion of going back to the stress of the old life would be laughably absurd. What about if someone has been dishonest to you, and then somehow you find out the truth, catch them in the act or find evidence etc. The stories and the image one had of the person was not as it seemed, and as soon as one sees the truth, one would usually (not always, if one goes back to believing the story /i.e. abusive relationships) - usually, one would never want to go back to believing the 'imaginary' story, because we prefer truth. The only thing in danger in facing the truth, the only true danger then it is only threatening one's ego, but that's a good thing. Because the ego would rather hold on to imagination vs. the truth.

K is leading him to dissolve the clinging on of the "ego", the "I", "myself", the 5 aggregates (matters, feelings, thoughts, cognition, consciousness) of this "self". You are jumping leaps and bounds from "ego", to physical suicide to religions=suicide. Religions are useless of being manipulated, controlled and put humanity in cages. But the essence of each originator of religions are all the same, Truth, Love and Peace, must start from the dissolution of this false "self". Religions originators only differed in the finesse, locality and needs of time, We are the air, the subtle food of ONE. and ego only takes us to the chaotic, superficial existence. One is our divine nature, or spirit, soul, or whatever else it's called and the other is the "egoic" self which is what society creates for us and/or we create for ourselves. Once you become present enough to identify your own egoic self, practice to keep it in check so it does not control your behavior. It will get easier over time if you are willing to do the self work. A very simple summation, and most credible. We all have a tendency to over analyse. The so called spiritual world is full of stress and strain in order to achieve superior insight. For me the body is there to be enjoyed, the subtle energies likewise are there to be danced with, it is all worthy. I personally refer to Blake's wonderful words in times of self confused doubt
'To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
    And Eternity in an hour'
If this is not an expression of love then,,,,,,?.

Man cannot end the self as long as he is clinging to anything...habit, comfort, security, etc. One has to embrace discomfort for a while to break the habit of attachment to move past it. In our uber comfortable society of today, most of us will get angry or depressed if there's the slightest discomfort. We will immediately move to correct it instead of letting it be.

    - Through complete negation, there can be positive action.
    - Love (not of the petty kind ofcourse & thats not love to begin with - dependance, mutual benefit based relations etc. - they r what they r i.e. conditional and definitely not love. The real essence of love is marked by loss of the 'self'. The dissolution just happens when in presence of love.

    You cannot dissolve.....
If you are not there dissolve will happen.....
Dissolve is the consequence of your absence or merger.....
If I ran on thorn,I need another thorn to remove the thorn.
After removing I don't need both the thorns.......
Same way I need to immerse in myself....
    Once immersed or merged
Then both. I and myself .... no need.... like both thorns....
    Suppose you are flute player...
You closed your eyes and immersed in playing flute...
In such a way that there is no LINE of separation between the music from flute, and the player....
    Everything merged.....
We can say the person dissolved into it .......
In that moment he has no awareness of himself......

I have found listening to near-death experiences from those who went through them very helpful in better understanding Krishnamurti. In those experiences there seems to be no feelings for the “body” / its pain, but a lot of interest for compassion and understanding outside of any time. Why do we “store” memories if not to “become” the “power” who will avenge (hurt) or profit (pleasure)?

I would add to this that the default human condition is focus on self preservation. The work to dissolve self cannot begin, until there is comfort in living. While one if having to survive one cannot detach from self preservation. When you are comfortable with a food, shelter and warmth, one can begin to contemplate beyond survival. We create outward connections (networks/internet/communications) because we have inner connections that are subconscious. We yearn outwardly to reproduce that which is inside. When ego is dissolved, only love remains.

The dissolving of 'I' lies within he act of surrender. To surrender self by way of creation (the act of creation, although it substantiates self, negates self) is to dispel selfishness. It counter-signs one's signature. Creation, being the first act of Love, was a gesture humility. What does creativity teach us, if not about humility and so, if not about Love?

  • @ams6652

With LOVE we trascend duality. Imagine a couple deeply in love, making love (sex). They both lose sense of identity, meaning they become one. There is no longer a 'you' and 'me', but a feeling of oneness.
So is it through LOVE that dualism is trascended.

Love is free even from sensing and perceiving. There is literally "nobody there" to experience love.
There's just love, timelessly, without limitations - beyond space, infinitely many times more than infinite in all that is good, was good, or will ever be good. It's literally all that there is, was, or ever will be.
And that's great news, even for the ego to take in.
You couldn't escape love if you did everything in your real power to try. It's waiting for all of "us", eternally; totally open, in total acceptance, in every moment to allow your death into it. Of course, that death is inevitable, which is why we can never escape it. We meet it in death approximately 8 hours a day, 365 days a year, only to be born back to imagination for another go at life; until, eventually, the not so subtle death happens.
So beautiful. This is real art! Love's art!

No One have never seen the Living behind the Being, the Eternity, or the 'I',
which is the very same reality, and the only 'steady point' behind the Stuff-side, which is a Motion-Ocean, pure motion.
So, Motion, movement is change, allways change, but all ways motion.
The *I* is Not motion, the *I* is eternal, and what that is Eternal, must be un-change-able,
isn't it so, that the *I* is allways the same un-change-able 'something that exsist'.
There is actually Only the very same *I*, Eternity, Living being,
Why We dont see that the *I* is the very same, is because, We All have our very own eternal Consciousness, the consciousness, is allway on a move, changing, but allways consciousness.
Well, Life can Not be created, Life is the creator, No One created the Eternal Life, there fore it is nameless in its own eternal nature. (and have no meaning, which is due to creation)
When Lars Nibelvang came to know about Martinus, he'd wrote about it to Krhisnamurti, and short after He declared that He was Not the world teacher that some one wanted him to be.
Later on, Martinus visited Krhisnamurti in India, and again later on, Krhisnamurti visited Martinus in his Institute here in Copenhagen.
Well, this is all history, I had my own experience of the Eternal Life years before that I'd came to know about all this.

Once the ' I ' is dissolved the system will collapse. The concept of family will be no more .it is from the institution of family the 'I ' starts. The fear of being alone, the fear of being helpless, the fear of network collapse haunts the time driven conditioned mind
