In my opinion this song and this album are the pinnacle of Pantera’s creativity. Though it is considered a dark album it is my favorite. I also consider The great southern trend kill to be a continuum and close second to this one. I know it’s weird to say, but comparatively I find vulgar display of power to be relatively goofy compared to this one. I am in no way saying vulgar is not excellent but when stacked up against Far beyond driven it definitely plays second fiddle.

Hard lines sunken cheeks is such an over looked song , probably my favourite tune off the Far beyond album, I love the moody feel of the solo, faultless cover, loved it 👌🏻

So amazing. Was one of my favorite albums at the time, and I listened to the CD every day in my car. I saw Pantera live in 95 I think (although I was too drunk to remember much detail). Dime was one of the most talented, original and amazing guitarists ever, in my opinion. The bouncy, bluesy "groove metal" thing was his invention, with all the harmonics, squeals, and virtuoso level solos belted out like it was nothing. So cool to see his pieces done properly by a guy who is extremely gifted in his own right.

yeeah that can hurt, but ive been doing it for so long i am used to those kind of bendings. ALSO the scale length is I believe like Les Pauls, so kinda short, plus I he 1o-52s tuned down to 425 standard D, so its not like an ultra heavy gauge either
