Dont get me wrong, the Floods Outro is one of my favorite pieces dime wrote. But the solo in Strength beyond Strength? That shit does something to me. It's just so haunting and I love it.
As iconic as Dime's "Floods" solo is, IMO, Rex's bass lines underneath make that whole section so intense. You and Wes Hauch are the only two that can truly capture that Dime "feel." \m/

Definately one of the best guitarists out there is you Ola. I tried to learn Pantera riffs when I was 19,watching their dvds or tapes back then... And could never nail Dimes feels or tone, he was just the best... It takes a lot of talent to come this close. If Pantera had a chance to continue without dime you would be their first choice. He went up on stage and shredded to some backing tracks, even sat behind a drum set and covered ‘tie your mother down’ while his tech played guitar. Thank you for keeping his life and material up front in the memories of fans, where it belongs!

hard lines sunken cheeks is just one of the best solos of all time. totally underrated (or not talked about enough anyway). i've never been able to properly work it out, there's some really weird licks in there.
The solo from Floods gives me chills every time I hear it. It's gotta clock in at my top 3 I've ever heard. It feels so raw and real even if kinda short. Fits the song pretty well.

I must say, out of everybody playing Pantera songs, I like Ola's approach the most. Might not be 100 percent accurate, but he makes it sound so good in a way quite different from Dime. Adding his own style while not straying too far. Also, his mixes don't sound as abrasive and shrill as Pantera's lol
